To give us a break from the daily grind...
From Noel Sheppard at Newsbusters:
... [Y]ou can't turn on the television or open up a newspaper these days without coming across a piece about extreme right-wing hate speech and/or the supposed violence being stoked by Tea Parties.View the following video to see an example of MSM bias in action:During such reports, the so-called journalist involved acts like demonstrations of this sort are somehow new and have taken on inflammatory rhetoric never before seen in this country.
Compare that with the following video, about which Sheppard states...
Not too long ago, taking to the streets to protest your government was considered a patriotic act.... But it seems that publicly airing your grievances stopped being patriotic right around noon on January 20th, 2009. Once President Obama was sworn in, protesting became incitement to violence....Warning - PROFANITY:If there is such a thing as dangerous rhetoric, then the media is at least one president too late in reporting the story.

This propaganda machine for the enemy will continue according to the will of the prince of the power of the air aka mainstream media, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (cf Ephesians 2:2)...neither Rush Limbaugh nor the myriad of opposing Think Tanks will ever prevent them one iota without the fervent effectual prayers from righteous men. IMO anyway.
Posted by: Ted L at April 5, 2010 12:31 PMBreitbart offerred a reward of $100,000 to anyone who could produce a video recording of people calling Barney Frank a faggot or any of the democRAT congressman 'nigger' or anyone spitting on them.
If there were such a video or audio recording, the democRATs would have already posted it and it would have gone viral.
I am disappointed in Bob Scheiffer. He is an old school journalists who knows what integrity is. Sadly he is repeating hearsay as fact without bothering require independent verification first.
None of the other members of the johnny come lately drive by lame scream lap dog media can still shock me with their advocacy. I am still surprised now and again by their the blatancy of their behavior.
Keith Blowharderman, Sissy Matthews and RaiseHell Maddcoww are comentators so they are free to express their opinions, but they are such transparent duplicitous hypocrits.
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."
"The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Ha haha ha! Yeah, ALL those cameras at the Capitol and NOT ONE of them caught the supposed racial slurs and spittle being hurled at black lawmakers....CAUSE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
Liberals lie to bolster their own viewpoint. They even come on conservative websites such as this posing as Republicans to try to peddle their own worldview....Anne= Oregon Republican.
Pulease. liars, liars, liars...liars who obviously flunked world history, math, ethics and economics classes.

By that I meant that neither Rush nor The Heritage Foundation's "wisdom" will overcome the effectiveness of MSM in destroying Republicans and promoting Democrat Socialism. Lack of wisdom may be our problem, but it's the kind that comes from fear of God and not from human intellect.
Posted by: Ted L at April 5, 2010 7:35 PMI certainly don't dispute John Lewis and don't consider him a liar.
I don't think all tea party folks are evil - but it doesn't take too long to find pictures and signs that could be considered racist. Again, it doesn't discount the party-goers - but I think it is foolish to say it isn't out there.

RINO,
When Jesse Jackson offered to prune B.O.'s cajones was that to be taken seriously as a threat against B.O. because the B.O. is half caucasian?
When Harry Reid paid B.O. the left handed condescending compliments was that 'racism'?
When Joe Biden observed that B.O. cleaned up good for a 'black man' what was that?
When all the left can do to dismiss and marginalize their critics by referring to them as racists, bigot, homophobic 'tea baggers' what does that tell you about the liberal/progressive/humanist who rule the democRAT party?
You probably believe the Boston Tea Party was an RSVP costume ball and that the crates of tea were dumped into the harbor to protest the use of child labor on the farms where it was grown.
B.O. is bad because his policies are bad. It has nothing to with his gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion or place of birth.

'Every so often, the president takes his revenge, as Obama did on Friday, mocking skeptical reporters who have been questioning the positive impact of health-care reform.
"Can you imagine if some of these reporters were working on a farm and you planted some seeds and they came out next day and they looked—Nothing’s happened!
There’s no crop!
We’re gonna starve!
Oh, no! It’s a disaster!" Obama told a town meeting in Maine.
“It’s been a week, folks. So before we find out if people like health-care reform, we should wait to see what happens when we actually put it into place. Just a thought.”
What B.O. deliberately fails to mention is that we can observe what kind of crop these 'seeds' have already produced in our neighbor to the north and in the socialist states in europe.
Maybe B.O. believes all the bovine scatulation he is bloviating will fertlize the fertile soil of capilatism enough to sustain this life sucking field of tares once it has sprouted. History is replete with examples that tell us differently.

Posted by: kbhvac at April 6, 2010 7:40 AMHi EGV,
I would like to add to Ken's commentary and ask your opinion.
Was Clinton's comment to Ted Kennedy that Obama would have been serving us (the Clintons?) coffee a year earlier a racist comment?
Oh, and speaking of the good Rev. Jackson, I distinctly recall his referring to NYC residents and the city as "Hymies" and "Hymietown". The good reverend tried to lie his way out of it, proclaimed an attack of amnesia, but was forced to own up to it only because a reporter caught it on tape.
Let's not forget Dan Blather and his comment to Sis (tingle up my leg) Matthews about Obama's inability to sell watermelons. Now, close your eyes and pretend Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly had said this exact same thing.
Speaking of Sean, he would daily play his "hate Hannity hotline" phone messages. In between the bleeps that censored foul language was the most vile vitriol you can imagine directed at Sean.
Oh, and let's not forget to mention the book and movie depicting the assassination of George Bush.
Do you recall the liberal community wailing like a Greek chorus over any of the above mentioned situations?
If Lewis and Frank were truly verbally assaulted and a congressman spit on, certainly all the cameras and recorders would have picked it up. Believe me, the LSM would go wild if such recordings existed.
Lewis isn't a liar? You know this how? Keep in mind EGV that people can say anything, especially when they do not have to back it up with any kind of proof.
Princess Pelosi, carrying a "gavel" that looked like it was retrieved from a Flintstone movie, and her court jesters walked through that crowd hoping to provoke an incident.
Posted by: Mary at April 6, 2010 9:21 AMOh, Good Lord -- save us from our idiocy! So Former President Bush hailed from Texas, where JFK was murdered, thus...well then Bush is part of that? What does it say that Obama is from Chicago where Al Capone came from? NO LOGIC, just scary rhetoric. We REALLY do forget history, especially when convenient!
Posted by: elizabethk at April 6, 2010 10:45 AMMary - I'm not disputing the fact that racism comes from both sides. I'm not disputing the fact that people on both sides are crazy.
I'm also not disputing what Lewis says happened and another aide said he saw. Quite frankly, I don't remember any video really at all of the protests that day - let alone where the house members were coming through - so to just say "well, it didn't happen unless somebody videoed it" - I think that is a little lame.
Thanks for passing on Ken's thoughts though - I don't read his posts since he lied to me.
Posted by: Ex-GOP Voter at April 6, 2010 6:09 PMEGV,
I saw plenty of video and heard only "kill the bill". Yet no racial or gay slurs were heard, I find that odd. I also find it odd that Pelosi and co. would walk through a crowd they thought may be hostile when they could have just as easily taken underground tunnels.
Again, making accusations is easy when you don't have to back them up. If I see a video of people spitting or hear recordings of slurs, I will stand corrected. Until then I will find it peculiar that no recording devices picked up these alleged incidents.
Posted by: Mary at April 6, 2010 7:51 PMFine Mary - I'm sure that no tea party person has ever said, thought, or written anything racist in their entire life. In fact, my guess is that most of them are completely color blind, and leave their rallies holding hands and driving around neighborhoods passing out flowers.
Wow - I'm glad that I don't have the same standards as you and take some written word for granted - I don't think anybody caught the resurrection on video and posted it on youtube!
Posted by: Ex-GOP Voter at April 6, 2010 7:56 PMGood grief EGV,
I didn't say no tea party person has ever uttered a slur.
I'm saying its very easy to accuse when you don't have to back it up. When one person accuses another, don't you expect some proof or do you just assume someone is guilty? There were all kinds of recording equipment there. I find it very strange none of this was picked up. Show me a recording that proves it happened and I will stand corrected.
Do I question that congresspeople and senators are getting threats? No, because I hear recordings of the threats. I see vandalism to their offices. I hear and see proof.
Multiple people confirmed that slurs were uttered. I suppose that most of them were Democrats though (those who said they heard things), so that wouldn't count for you.
I think all the tea party people went straight to boy scout meetings afterwards - I see the light now - they are all angels and I'm sure they said nothing wrong!

Ex-GOP Voter @ 10:07 PM
Multiple? So, who claimed the $100,000 dollar reward that Breitbart was offering????? As far as I can find NO ONE has. Are you SURE this wasn't just the MSM - quoting the MSM - quoting the MSM???
Hi Janet,
Multiple people hearing the "slurs" would indicate to me they were loud and clear. There was an abundance of recording equipment. I expect any day now the reward will be claimed.
I mean, Jesse Jackson's reference to Jews as "hymies" and NYC as "hymietown" was recorded over 20 years ago by one reporter and his humble piece of equipment. Certainly an abundance of modern day recorders would end this Lewis debate once and for all.
Posted by: Mary at April 7, 2010 9:22 AMHi Mary,
One would also think they had body guards walking with them (at the time of the alleged slurs and spitting) and those guards would have promptly taken the offenders away. But then logic has never been the Dems' strongpoint.
Hi, Janet and Mary. You might be interested in this American Thinker article, which lays out a timeline of media distortion regarding the protest. It has a link to video of the capitol steps spitting incident. In another article, there is discussion of the alleged Lewis racial slur, also with a video link.
