Posted by: carlaExcuse me. Something in my eyes.
Posted by: Hans Johnson at May 21, 2010 2:40 PMI cried. Especially at the part where the one Dad said "I missed you." and the kid said "I missed you, too, Daddy."
I have friends and family in the military.
The sacrifices these people make to serve our country is incredible and should never be belittled or minimized.
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!
Posted by: Mother In Texas at May 21, 2010 3:03 PMI was surprised that the clip choking me up the most was the happy doggie.
Posted by: Jill Stanekthe first one was the best for me.
Who says families don't need dads, especially these very special ones!
Posted by: angel at May 21, 2010 7:51 PMSo beautiful. When I look at my three boys, I am more and more grateful our military and their families.
Angel, I had the same thought. Dads are So incredibly important, and I see it with my boys every day. May God strengthen our military families, and may He also strengthen fatherhood in our nation.
A military will only be as strong as the men in it, so strengthening fatherhood is important on many levels.
Posted by: Mary Ann at May 21, 2010 11:33 PMThe first girl and then the boy who drops his baseball glove and sprints to Daddy are my faves.
They are all good, of course!!
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!
Posted by: carlaI've seen the video 3 times now, and I always start crying right about 10 seconds in. The first girl's changing facial expressions get me every time. The dog is GREAT, too! And the baseball kid just gets me. Oy. Such a good video. Thank God for the men and women who serve to protect this great nation.
Posted by: Bridget N at May 22, 2010 8:43 AMJill, I was also most struck by the dog's reaction. It was exactly the same as my puppy's when I returned from a day or two at a wedding. But it must have been many months for this dog!
And the girl with her hand on her heart! If only the pro-aborters were for female rights - not just women's - they would have to join our side!
