The new poll question is up:
This question is for conservatives. There is widespread talk among our tribe that "we're not gonna take it anymore," re: likely GOP presidential nominee John McCain, whom many consider a RINO (Republican in Name Only). If McCain's name appears on the November ballot, what will you do?
Answers to the previous poll question intrigued me....
16+% have had abortions, 68+% know someone who has had an abortion, and 35+% know a father whose child has been aborted. Yet only 3.2% of men said their child had been aborted. Not sure how to account for the disparity. I think as many men traffic this blog as women. Denial?
If you answered this poll question, click on the map to find your very own flapping flag.
Please make comments about the new or old poll here, not on the Vizu website.
Comments:
McCain. What will I do? have myself a good cry and go down to the corner bar and get hammered.

Perhaps they don't know?...
Enigma,
I guess we'll just keep moving to the next post. I'm at http://www.jillstanek.com/archives/2008/02/aloha.html now.

I just don't think that type of man visits a pro-life site. There may be some guilt or denial, but many just have no moral objection to abortion.
They may be spending most of their internet time elsewhere. The lack of respect for life inherent in abortion tends to creep into every aspect of one's life. The addiction to internet porn is a growing problem in this country; there may be a correlation between abortion and porn. You only have to ask ministers and priests about the numbers of men they are counseling who have serious addictions. Add to that number those men who view porn but aren't talking about it and the numbers are huge.

Excellent point. How sad is that?
Posted by: Janet at February 16, 2008 12:54 PMRegarding the new poll question and holding one's nose.
A democrat party activist was on Fox and said how great it was to have two good candidates and that democrats would not have to hold their noses and vote this time. So the interviewer asked her when or for which candidates democrats were holding their noses.
She then started saying that Fox news always does this to people but she wouldn't say which year or candidates she was refering to and the interviewer got really upset that she was trying to say Fox news was unfair for asking what she meant.
I mean she didn't come off as too bright. I feel sorry for anyone she was representing. She was basically slamming dems while she was trying to promote them. Hillary needs to talk some sense into that woman.
Posted by: hippie at February 16, 2008 1:44 PMI never told the father of the child I aborted. His child.

Every time someone does that it makes me wonder if they do that to cover up the fact that they don't know what they're talking about.

"Excellent point. How sad is that?"
Very sad. I would want to know, it is good to know what or who to pray for.
Posted by: rosie at February 16, 2008 3:49 PM there may be a correlation between abortion and porn.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, because masturbation so often leads to unwanted pregnancy.
Now link porn to 9/11.
Give me enough time, I probably could. As I said before: the lack of respect for life tends to creep into every aspect of one's life. Nothing surprises me anymore.
Not sad at all.
Posted by: reality at February 16, 2008 4:42 PMCan I have permission to come back to prettyinpink? My name is just so long. I'd like my name at a 3-syllable max. Just my style.
Posted by: pro-humanlifeprettyinpink at February 17, 2008 3:02 AMbtw at the party the music switched to "brick" and three of us at once said, "did you know that song's about abortion?" And we all sang it. It's a good song.
Posted by: pro-humanlifeprettyinpink at February 17, 2008 3:15 AMWait...I guess that would be 4 syllables. Okay. 4 syllable max.
