New poll/Old poll

I have a new poll question up:

Published donor lists have been recently scrutinized in CA for Prop 8 backlash. In the fight over abortion, which do you think does a better job utilizing donor lists against adversaries?

Here are the results of my previous poll. 65% of respondents thought Obama was most comparable to Lincoln, indicating the poll was overrun by liberals....

Here were your votes. Click to enlarge to find your own brightly colored flag...

As always, make comments to either this or last week's poll here, not on the Vizu website.

Comments:

Overrun by liberals, or answered by people parroting what the media told them all week long: that Obama is our new Lincoln.

the poll was overrun by liberals....

Was this another "devastating liberal raid"? ; )

OneMom, you could be right.

Doug, I don't mind. We may eventually win them (you?) over by osmosis... :)

The irony is that Lincoln was a Republican and according to a few southerners I know, is despised in the south.

Why doesn't Obama identify with FDR, a Democrat who saw the gov't as the solution, just like Obama.

Yes, but back in the days of Lincoln being a Republican or being a Democrat stood for very different things than they do today.

Obama just got into office. Give it some time before we start comparing him to other presidents.

I've heard Obama say that he was inspired by Lincoln, who was quite a great president. That doesn't mean he's emulating him, though. He isn't freeing any slaves or saving his country from actual division. I don't know where people get this Lincoln idea.

I cant think of anything more ridiculous than 17% comparing him to Reagan.

Reagan was an optimist who brought real "hope and change" to people. He believed in people and their abilities, and he was govt as the solution not the problem.

Total opposite to BO who sees the govt as the solution.

BO is a socialist and Reagan was a true conservative.

Reagan really inspired people. I will admit BO did that during the campaign, but since taking office "hope and change" has been replaced by "crisis", misery, and being told the economy will get worse. BO talks down the economy every chance he can, and believes the govt knows best rather than people themselves.

And another HUGE contrast between BO and Reagan is Reagan was pro life. One of my favorite Reagan quotes is "I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born."

*************************************

Let's see...he used the same Bible as Lincoln did to take the oath of office.

He also took the train to Washington as Lincoln did. Seems to me that he isn't afraid to compare HIMSELF to Lincoln.

Then again, lots of hard-core conservatives despise Lincoln, calling him a dictator. Some of them may have voted, too.
