See Baby Boy Sykes' ultrasound photo above the poll question.
The previous poll question had to do with President Obama shaming the US Supreme Court during his State of the Union speech for a free speech decision he didn't like. At the time Justice Samuel Alito shook his head and mouthed, "not true," regarding Obama's portrayal of that decision. Readers here overwhelmingly took Alito's side...

I think Elijah is the best name for the baby and he should be referred to as Eli (a shortened version to go with that last very complicated long name).
Eli Kal-El Sykes. Perfect!
I can't decide if I prefer Elijah or Noah. :)Posted by: Vannah at March 7, 2010 10:41 AM
I voted Elijah, because I love the name, and because that was my Great-Grandfather's name, but I personally would not name a baby Kal-El (which apparently Nicholas Cage did), because it's just silly to name a baby after Superman. I know...just my opinion...but that's what you asked for..my opinion. :)Posted by: Pamela at March 7, 2010 10:56 AM
what, Clark is not an option? (yes, its a Superman reference). I don't know what name I'd choose.
I voted Oscar, but Elijah was a close second.Posted by: Louise at March 7, 2010 4:02 PM
I voted for Noah. Kal-El is already obviously very comic-booky. Noah is the name of Claire Bennet's father on Heroes and was the name of Sylar's son in the not!future bit, so it's also appropriately heroic.
I'm a hardcore geek. I regret nothing. :)Posted by: Keli Hu at March 7, 2010 8:32 PM
I dislike Kal-El as well (and I am a geek, but I'm a scifi geek. I'd be all for Zefram Wesley Sykes or James Tiberius Sykes). I voted for Peter, which is the name of my husband and my son (and father-in-law, coincidentally).
#1 Peter; #2 Elijah; #3 Reagan; #4 Ezekiel; #5 Noah; #6 Theodore; #7 Forrest; #8 Oscar; #9 Levon; #10 Sonny
I really like the first five, like the next two, and dislike the last three.Posted by: ycw at March 8, 2010 7:57 AM
