New Stanek poll: Are you part of the Tea Party movement?

Poll 2.pngI have a new poll question up (bottom right side of home page):

Are you part of the Tea Party movement (attended at least one rally, provided financial support, etc.)?

On the last poll, those thinking Republicans would succeed in repealing Obamacare slightly edged those who thought they'd give it their best shot but fail. A combined majority thought Republicans would at least try...

poll 4-24 slide 1.png

Click on the map to enlarge to find your own brightly colored flag. A slight majority of our International friends had no faith in Republicans...

As always, make comments to either the previous or current poll here, not on the Vizu website.

Comments:

demonographics- leftist propaganda technique designed to demonize any individuals or groups of people whom they view as counterrevolutionary.

Interesting,

25% of the people responding in the affirmative to the poll were pro-choice.

I wonder which issue motivates this 25% more?

Continued unfettered access to abortion on demand

or

maintaining their standard of living, which includes not only keeping more of their hard earned money, but also preserving the liberty to chose their own doctor and drive the automobile of their choice and living in a country secure in the knowledge that their government is serious about protecting them and their family from Jew hating mass murderers and serial killers.

What is the 'demonographic' of this particular and peculiar segment of Tea Partiers?

He promised that it wouldn't include taxpayer funded abortions. Presently though without the health care package being implemented doesn't tax payer money already support abortion on demand? The monies that fund planned parenthood isn't that tax payer money? And I imagine those abortion clinics receive federal aid as well right. I'm hoping whatever passes involves real choice for people. Real choice meaning life for the unborn not death and American citizens being treated like real citizens with real choices when it comes to health care.

Jill-
Just a note to say thank you for the amount of work that has to be involved in doing the job you do daily. I can't even remember how I stumbled on to this site. It has brought healing to my soul to know that there are intelligent people that care enough about life to put forth tangible efforts in the crusade for life. God bless you.

Not only am I part of the Tea Party Movement, I'm one of the organizers in my neck of the woods.

Lots, lots going on.

The honorable Alan Grayson is my congressman, and so the effort to put forth an opponent who will take him to school is coming together quite nicely, thank you very much.

Thousands of people attended the Sacramento TEA Party and I think most of the grass-roots participants are pro-life. However, I am very disappointed in the leadership's official position on the Sanctity of Life. They do not want to include controversial social issues such as abortion or traditional marriage, because these concerns are "too divisive" and will fracture the TEA party momentum. Therefore, the TEA party organizers have decided to remain neutral on abortion, focusing instead only on Fiscal issues. They would not allow us to circulate our Parental Notification Petitions nor California Human Rights Amendment Petitions during the Rally. Narrowly focusing on only secular monetary issues, while remaining silent on the killing of innocent human lives, is a real shortcoming of the TEA party in my opinion and the reason I have been reluctant to join. I hope this will change at some point.

Hi Jill,

I'm not as optimistic on any of the questions of your poll. I think by November we will be under marshall law and no elections will be held.

Myrtle, thank you very much for your kind words. This blog is a labor of love. I'm glad it is of help to you.

Carder... argh... Grayson... Get rid of him!

Wynette, I'm really sorry to read your Tea Party movement is bypassing social issues. VERY frustrating.

Helene... wow... yikes! Hope not!

I thought this was worth reposting. Sounds like a joke Bob Hope would have told:

A tourist walked into a Wahington D.C. curio shop. While looking around at the exotic merchandise, he noticed a very lifelike, life-sized, bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but was so incredibly striking the tourist decided he must have it. He took it to the old shop owner and asked, “How much for the bronze rat?”

“Ahhh, you have chosen wisely! It is $12 for the rat, $100 for the story, ” said the wise old Chinese man.

The tourist quickly pulled out twelve dollars. “I’ll just take the rat, you can keep the story”.

As he walked down the street carrying his bronze rat, the tourist noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and had begun following him down the street. This was a bit disconcerting so he began walking faster.

A couple blocks later he looked behind him and saw to his horror the herd of rats behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing.

Sweating now, the tourist began to trot toward the Potomac River. Again, after a couple blocks, he looked around only to discover that the rats now numbered in the MILLIONS, and were squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.

Terrified, he ran to the edge of the Potomac and threw the bronze rat as far as he could into the river.

Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the water after the bronze rat, and were all drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop in.

“Ahhh,” said the owner, “You have come back for story?”

“No sir,” said the man, “I came back to see if you have a bronze democRAT.”

[Apologies to rats and old chinese men.]

Bill and Hillary are out driving in the country near Hillary's hometown. They are low on fuel, so Bill pulls into a gas station for a fill-up. The attendant comes out and begins to pump gas into their tank. As he is doing this, he looks into the passenger window.

"Hey, Hillary. We used to date in high school, do you remember me?" he asks.

Hillary chats for a few minutes, Bill pays and they drive away.

Bill's feeling very proud of himself and looks over at Hillary. "You used to date that guy? Just think what life would be like if you had married him," he says smugly.

Hillary looks at Bill and shrugs, "Well, I suppose you'd be pumping gas and I'd be married to a former president."

Hi Hal, 8PM

When dictators come to power they take over the country's health care, major industry, and financial system.
Check out the histories of Hitler, Castro, and Chavez.

Obama's already got two out of three and he's working on three. Do you recall Bush making similar efforts?

Open you eyes Hal.

I can answer that.
Many come from the secular right. They are the coldhearted real atheists out there, not the bleeding heart tax and spend anti-christian atheist/agnostic/spiritual-but - religious-types. They know that abortion asymmetrically hits minorities/poor and don't want that to change. They may think abortion is disgusting (confirmed atheists have very low abortion rates as compared to the more "agnostic/spiritual" pro abort types) but they see those who get abortions as disgusting as well (the fathers more than the mothers) so they see the evil as self limiting. These are the guys (and they are mostly guys) who are unlikely to sleep around much, math/science types and they think that abortion disproportionally affects those with low standards of behavior and limits the number in the next generation with socially deviant behavior. They know they aren't personally going to go out and have 5-10 kids to compensate for those with bad behavior, so in their minds abortion levels the field. I know plenty of these folks and their opinions.

Mary, if Obama ever becomes a dictator or imposes martial law and cancels the November elections, I'll... I'm sorry, couldn't finish without laughing too hard to type.

Please listen. President Obama is a moderate Democrat. He's not a dictator nor is he a fascist or even a socialist. If you don't like his policies, vote for someone else, but this kind of talk by you and Helene is pure crazy. Really.

Posted by: Hal at April 26, 2010 8:53 AM

Hal,

Please pull your head out of the sand.

I simply pointed out facts to you concerning what dictators do and what Obama has already done. If my facts aren't straight, then please correct me.
I didn't say Obama was a dictator, I said he's following the pattern of dictators. Even Chavez was impressed at the extent of the Obama takeover. He can only eat his heart out. As for what could happen by November, I'm not a prophet so your guess is as good as mine.

A moderate Democrat? Now its my turn to....I'm sorry, I couldn't finish without.....laugh.

Open your eyes Hal

Me either, Mary, but my laughter was short lived. PBHO's ties to marxist groups are documented, even if his supporters and the lamestream media prefer to overlook or excuse them.

..."President Obama is a moderate Democrat."...

---------------------------------------------------

Hal,

moderate- avoiding extremes of behavior or expression : observing reasonable limits
tending toward the mean or average amount or dimension b : having average or less than average quality : mediocre : professing or characterized by political or social beliefs that are not extreme.

I notice that you 'modified' the adjective 'moderate' by combining it with the term 'democRAT'.

That would be pushing the meaning of 'moderate' to the 'extereme' left side of the political spectrum.

Asserting that b.o. is a 'moderate democRAT would be like equating a 'moderate drinker' with a 'moderate alcoholic' or an occasional pot smoker with a crack head.

b.o. is not 'moderate' by even democRAT standards.

His voting record in the U.S. Senate was to the left of Berney Sanders from Vermont, a self avowed socialist and 'Independent'.
