Posted by: rosie at November 19, 2007 11:16 AMPRO-LIFE DEMOCRATS NEED OUR HELP
PRO-LIFE DEMOCRAT DAN LIPINSKI (D-IL) NEEDS OUR HELP
This is what we are up against.
Congressman Lipinski's own local Democratic party is once again is putting up a Democratic challenger.
Democracy for America put out a fundraising plea for Dan's pro-choice opponent claiming that Dan Lipinski is a Bush Democrat. Nothing could be further from the truth. Dan is a loyal democrat and deserves the full support of the Party; His pro-life votes should not disqualify him from local Party support.
We helped the Congressman defeat 2 pro-choice Democratic challengers in 2004 and we will stand by him once again.
...................................................................
Wouldn't it be great if both parties had plenty of prolife members? If you live in a heavily Democrat area, supporting the prolife Dem. is a good alternative to supporting a Republican who can't win.

Hippie, I live in Massachhusetts where the whole delegation is Democrat. I might consider, but I don't know 1 pro-life Democrat in my area. not one.
Posted by: jasper at November 19, 2007 2:00 PMJasper,
I sure hope Rae and PIP see that last post...they'll be floored. Not that there aren't any pro life Dems, that's a no brainer, but that you'd vote for a Dem if he was pro life...
See, they got you all wrong! :)
Posted by: mk at November 19, 2007 2:22 PMMK,
I don't know if I still vote for Dem if they were pro-life, but I'd take a closer look at them. They're are still other issues I disagree with them on but at least they would have some credibilty being pro-life. But, there no chance of that now, there is not one outspoken pro-life democrat I know of.
Posted by: jasper at November 19, 2007 3:09 PMJasper,
The point is there are some very democrat areas out there. Many folks don't vote in the primaries. Your votes count a lot more in the primaries especially those little off year ones. So supporting the prolife Dems in the primaries means that you could get him in the general election. So the race would be between two prolifers. If you like the Republican better in the general election, go ahead and vote for him. Either way, you win.
Posted by: hippie at November 19, 2007 8:38 PMI am posting these pictures for Marykay!

Hmm, that's weird, they don't seem to be showing up. Wonder what I did wrong.
How do you post pictures?
Bethany, those picture URLs are good... - does there have to be a specific HTTP code around it or something?
Doug
Posted by: Doug at November 20, 2007 10:19 AMUsually, it's supposed to work with a code like that... I just have to have .
But it doesn't seem to be working for these pictures. I don't know why. Weird. Usually I don't ever have a problem with it. It might be a photobucket thing. They might not like people eating up their bandwidth.
That's funny. I entered the code to show you an example and it was erased in the post. lol
Let me see if this will work ( you should see the example code here) ...I just added the ability to use the "Code" code so hopefully it will:

Darn it, it just won't work. Forget it. lol
