Quote of the Day 10-26-09

In Touch, Kendra Wilksinson.jpg
As a Playboy model, Kendra Wilkinson was used to being admired and ogled for her body.

But now, 7 months pregnant - with a protruding belly, hip pain and swollen hands and feet - the former Girls Next Door star truly has an underanding of what it means to feel beautiful on the inside, too.

"The reason I feel so beautiful is not because of my looks," says Kendra, who had no problem donning a bikini and proudly showing off her bump. "It's because of my bond with the baby."

Comments:

I know we love to encourage these young moms to be proud of the their pregnancy and their bodies. But the immodesty of it all is just becoming too much for me.
Did she REALLY have to pose in a bikini? Could the point not have been made with a feminine maternity dress on? Her body is for her husband.
When will these women EVER understand this? :(

Now that Kendra has a "bond", maybe that bond will make her think twice before she strikes a another one of those birthday suit poses.

If we're going to show people -- male and female -- in their bathing suits, then it's all well and good to show pregnant women in bathing suits, too.

I'm okay with pregnant women showing their bodies in a swimming suit. They're beautiful like all other people.

I'm glad that she's having a healthy pregnancy. :)

I’m confused as to why Jill used a quote of the day from a Playboy model…pornography is a great epidemic in our country. It hurts women, it hurts families, and it ruins lives. Maybe that’s what Jill is trying to portray by posting this? Pregnant or not, Kendra represents an industry that sells a disordered view of sexuality.

I do believe Jasper is still in charge of the quote of the day.
For what it's worth I agree with you about pornography. I know families that have been ripped apart by this addiction.

Pregnancy as fashion accessory.

A protruding belly, hip pain and swollen hands and feet.

Because it's all about her.
