Quote of the Day 5-12-10

sarah maclachlan.jpg[Lilith Fair organizer Sarah] McLachlan is quick to point out that during her tenure at Lilith's helm in the late '90s, she wanted to ensure that equality and inclusion were a big part of Lilith's official mandate...

Recently ticket buyers discovered that a handful of anti-choice organizations were among the charitable options. As soon as the Lilith team was informed, various charities were dismissed from the running.

It isn't the first time McLachlan has crossed paths with anti-choice groups. "I remember a bunch of pro-lifers came to a press conference at a past Lilith Fair stop and started giving me s-t about why I allowed Planned Parenthood tables and why they couldn't get a table," she recalls. "I just said: it's my festival and I believe in pro-choice.

Unless it includes equality and inclusion for pre-born human beings, obviously.

"I just said: it's my festival and I believe in pro-choice.

That would be a good response for a youngster, because "choice" refers more to choosing your favorite flavor of ice-cream or brand of peanut butter... not a life-or-death decision about a baby.

Sadly, McLachlan is pro-abortion, she may as well admit it.

Right. "Equality and inclusion" except when it comes to someone offering real help to women facing unplanned pregnancy that doesn't involve killing her child.

Just be honest, liberals. You don't favor "equality and inclusion."

Actually, I agree with McLachlan. Let the pro-aborts do their own festivals and crap. Pro-life if in the majority now and gaining. Soon, they'll be hanging out with the tumbleweeds, so her plan is actually good for her and us.

I used to have a large number of her albums. No more. As far as I'm concerned, pro-lifers should vote with their dollars and completely not only Lilith Fair but all their musicians, as well as sponsors.

It's our money and we have a choice, Sarah.

too bad that she's pro abortion.......one of my favorite songs is sang by her on the Toy Story 2 soundtrack. :(

Like I said before, she is a BIG animal rights supporter. I still can't understand people who care so deeply about dogs, cats, whales, birds, snail darters, etc. -- everything except their own unborn children.

Never liked her music, either.

Unless it includes equality and inclusion for political viewpoints other than her own, then they're quick to censor. So much for "tolerance" and "free speech".

I think she was talking about Lilith Fairs' trips to the Chicago area in '97 and '98--The Pro-Life Action League protested not only having Planned Parenthood there, but the fact that they passed out condoms to everyone there! They all got to drive past graphic images of what "choice" really is!

Sarah McLachlan is a very intelligent woman who obviously respects her rights and her body. I cannot say the same for the vile person running this site. You should be ashamed of yourself. It is 2010 not 1910. Wake up.

Rose: in an abortion, another PERSON's body is involved. That of a separate unique human being.

Simple biology proves that human babies are HUMAN and NOT part of their mother's bodies.

Yea..it's really 'vile' to NOT want to kill babies and injure (physically and emotionally) their mothers. Jill cares about BOTH...what a MONSTER she is!

You're right Rose..it IS 2010. YOU 'wake up'.

We pity you Rose!

How many of your own children were you deceived into killing?

There is hope and forgiveness for you in Jesus Christ.

How tragic!

Behind Sarah's pretty face is the heart of a baby killer.
