Quote of the Day 5-24-10

The suspect brought a carpet cutter, cut his daughter's stomach with it, opened her womb and took the female foetus and threw it in the garbage.

~Earth Times News, May 24, reporting that an unidentified Jordanian man was charged today with raping his teenage daughter and then killing her during a botched Cesarean section to terminate the baby he had fathered with her

God shall wipe away every tear... there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain... [He] said, "Behold, I am making all things new." (the Revelation about a new heaven and a new earth, 21:4-5)

That's a horror movie. I am seriously having trouble believing that this actually happened. And I'm not saying I doubt any of the people in the chain of reporters are telling the truth, it's just...my brain does not want to process this.

I feel like I'm going to be sick reading this. How evil can you get?

I hear you, Keli. People do all kinds of horrible things every day. Here in Philadelphia a "man" was angry at his baby's mother, so he kidnapped the baby from her grandmother's house and threw the three month old little girl off a bridge. I was hoping it was all a terrible mistake until they found the baby's body . . .

Things like this make me want to crawl under the bed with my cat and stay there forever.

Doesn't really get much more evil than that.

I remember reading about that, phillymiss. I hurt just THINKING about it. :(

What an awful thing. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family (the part that actually cares).

Evil.

I don't like the phrase "botched Cesarean section" as though this man was a doctor trying to save the life of mother and child. The intent was to kill.

I don't appreciate "botched abortion" either when a child LIVES instead of dies in an abortion.
