Quote of the Day 6-30-10

Monday was Justice John Paul Stevens' final day on the Supreme Court - and it attracted a small group of protesters who showed up at the court to decry Stevens for his decisions on abortion.

One protester, dressed as the grim reaper, wielded a megaphone into which he suggested Stevens will go to hell. Another, bearing a sign reading "Abortionists for Justice Stevens," repeatedly stabbed a baby doll spattered with what appeared to be blood.

Comments:

I am just not a fan of the grim reaper or bloody babies being stabbed or statements of who is going to hell.

The people of the prolife movement that I know are lumped in with that.

Carla, I agree. But as the pro-life movement is continually marginalized by the media and our legislators, I'm not very surpised that people act out. It is very tempting because sometimes we might feel that politeness is taking so long, more children die everyday. However, no matter how daunting the task is, we must remain polite and civilized, and try to act out of love. That being said, the grim reaper type of 'performance art' sure did work on the smoking & tobacco business.
