It is still very painful for me to remember that, slightly more than a year ago, so many of us lost so much: a beloved friend, an exceptional human being, a compassionate doctor, a skilled teacher and mentor, and an inspirational role model. I knew Dr. Tiller and was aware that he viewed his Wichita medical practice at Women's Health Care Services as a reproductive health ministry. Truly a unique perspective from a unique man.
Dr. Tiller was affectionately called St. George by the close-knit community of abortion providers who were constantly drawn to his ever-present and upbeat courage, conviction, and compassion.

I'm speechless. And nauseated.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.
Posted by: Jennifer at June 7, 2010 9:51 AMI can't find any records that St. George became filthy rich by killing the babies of desperate women.
Humans sure can go to great lengths to rationalize the evil they support and participate in. Eeek.
Posted by: Praxedes at June 7, 2010 10:16 AMMy second son's middle name is George. My husband and I chose that name in the hope that he would be a courageous and godly man like St. George. My son is now a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps. It is so disgusting to me to hear of anyone referring to Kansas' most infamous abortionist as "St. George."
Posted by: Jeanne Gawdun at June 7, 2010 10:53 AMWhen you see how deceived people like Marcy are, how truly clueless, you begin to see how the Nazi's were deluded and then demonically inspired to carry out some of the most evil and depraved acts of torture and genocide in the history of man.
Man's capacity to perform all manner of evil begins with...
believing a lie.
The only thing exceptional about Tiller was his depravity. He was a great champion for evil and the kingdom of darkness.
I hate to say it, but it's highly doubtful that Tiller repented before his death. He didn't believe killing post-viable babies was wrong, his conscience had been seared decades ago.
His hands were covered with the blood of dead children.
The deep anguish, remorse and regret he is undoubtedly feeling right now, are in all likelihood, compounded by the torments of Hell and the hopelessness that his destiny is set for eternity.
It's tragic. He never should have ended up there. God had a great plan for Tiller's life. Hell was created for satan and his demons.
Lord, have mercy, draw men and women to Your Cross, grant repentance to the living before it's too late.

Ed,
I couldn't agree more. Tillers' friends were obviously gullible and they were duped.
"St, George"???? Right..... These people have no clue, do they?
"an exceptional human being (you really have to have exceptional spiritual blindness to do what he did), a compassionate doctor (compassionate???? By killing thousands of babies, crushing their bones and mushing their brain?), a skilled teacher and mentor (and teaching others to murder babies), and an inspirational role model (with role models like that in a society, you don't need enemies, the whole humankind can go down the drain)....
Posted by: Vita at June 7, 2010 3:19 PMMarcy Bloom speaks:
* of a memory "very painful" for her
* of a "close-knit community"
* of "upbeat courage, conviction, and compassion"
but, no, she's not regretting an abortion she had, and she's not becoming pro-life. She's praising Mr. Tiller for all of his many murders.

I knew Dr. Humam al-Balawi and was aware that he viewed his treatment of patients at the Palestinian refugee camp as a faith ministry. Truly a unique perspective from a unique man.
Dr. Al-Balawi was a familiar figure in the neighborhood. He was known for his good works. He was kind. Though I am sad, I know that through his martyrdom he will draw even more to the same ever-present and upbeat courage, conviction, and compassion that informed his life.

Posted by: RSD at June 8, 2010 10:33 AMBlech...
It takes a cold soul to have absolutely no compassion for these little babies. If abortionists were doing this to born, "wanted" infants, there would be a hue and cry and everyone would see abortionists for the monsters they are.
