The Dubliner

Where do pro-lifers spend their evenings while in DC for the March for Life? You'll often find them at The Dubliner Pub, near Union Station.

That's where the crowd is tonight. I snapped a few photos before returning to my hotel room, since I turn into a pumpkin at 9p. Yes, a couple are blurry, I know... likely the ale factor.

Tomorrow's a full day. Gotta stop by Family Research Council in the a.m. to go over plans for the Blogs for Life Conference and then will spend the rest of my day at American Life League's Personhood Conference. At 5p Congressman Mike Pence is hosting a reception for African-American pro-life leaders I'll be stopping by... and then The Dubliner a protest at the White House... and then The Dubliner.... :)

I wish just one year I could get to D.C for this! I am there in spirit though! Be safe, all of you!

My prayers are with all of the Pro Lifers as they attend the march!! I wish I could attend this year. I am heart sick over the latest Nancy Grace story about missing baby Gabrielle. What a beautiful child!! It's looking pretty bleak at this point. It's looking more and more like the Caylee Anthony ending:(.......These women are now killing their young babies (out of the womb) If we keep tolerating abortion, how can ANYONE have respect for LIFE? The message that abortion has sent to our society is that life is disposable and meaningless! I fear infanticide cases like this will become more and more frequent. Baby Gabrielle's mom claimes "I stuffed his lifeless blue body into a diaper bag, and I threw him in the garbage." Now she wants to know when she is going to get out of jail!!!! The little guy has not been found and mom keeps changing her story! I just kept thinking that she really only did the same thing that an abortionist does!! Sorry, I am just very sad tonight:(

I wish I could be there! So very cool!

The face of baby Gabrielle.....I just cannot shake it!!!!......Does anyone feel the way I do about abortion/infanticide ?? Does anyone see a connection? What has happened to these women? Killing their children to go to a few parties? (Casey Anthony) Out of fear of telling mom or their boyfriends? (Amy Grossberg and Melissa Drexler) BOTH of them OUT free from prison!! For revenge? (baby Gabrielle-case still pending) OR,..... JUST BECAUSE (Jessica Coleman and Audrey Iaacona) It sickens me to my core!

Heather, I haven't been watching the news enough to have heard about baby Gabrielle, but that sounds so horrible.

I agree with you absolutely about the connection between abortion and infanticide. So many women abort for the same illogical and petty reasons. It shouldn't be this way. It's truly heartbreaking.

Bethany, it's soooo nice to see you! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am pregnant too! - - Due in April! I am pregnant with a son! His name is Jacob!!:) Just feeling the kicking in the belly is amazing!! My heart goes out to all of the women who are suffering from post abortion syndrome as well as these mothers who are killing their children because they feel that the child has become a burden. The case of baby Gabrielle would just break your heart! Mom took him to a hotel room and hired a babysitter so she could go out and shop and get a manicure! Meanwhile, the babysitter reported that the baby looked dirty and had very little food. He screamed when the sitter put him down. He was thin and lethargic. The last photos taken were of baby Gabrielle sucking on a Tylenol bottle and looking drugged out! Mom says that she gave him to a couple who wanted to adopt him, yet, that couple does NOT have the baby! Then the mom said she killed him. Psychotic! I fear the latter. It never had to be. She wanted revenge on baby Gabrielle's father. However, his little body is nowhere to be found.

There is a definate connection between abortion and infanticide. Had the late George Tiller ripped baby Gabrielle apart in the womb and tossed his body into his own personal oven, there wouldn't have been a peep or any outcry at all!..........It's just a CHOICE! He was in the way!....I was just so sickened by those photos, I had to look away. America is falling apart! What is wrong with these women? Their lights are on, but it seems nobodys home!

Casey Anthony and baby Gabrielle's mom. Just two attractive, empty shells:(

Will someone tell the Tiffany person to shove it?

Heather, a couple years ago a guy from my high school, Justin Gaines, went missing and was featured on Nancy Grace. He was 18, I think. I always think 'missing' people are more a tragedy than dead people, because they tend to stay missing and families never get any closure. I hope the family of little Gabrielle find some closure.

I love the Dubliner! Meet you there next year!!

We have desensitized a nation and a generation to the unborn and born human child. Desensitized enough to kill them days or weeks after they are born. Disposable humans. After so many years of "it's just a bunch of cells." we are reaping what we have sown.
Poor, sweet Gabriel.

Congratulations, Heather!! :)

Hi Erin!! :)

I have been reading about the Gabriel story and my heart breaks! I have a 9 month old and I cannot imagine how a mother can harm her own. In earlier stories about Gabriel, it seems that the mother claimed that she gave her child to an unidentified couple. It was also reported that she sent a text message to the father saying that she killed their child.

I really hope she gave her child away instead of killing him. I really hope she sent that text message just to spite her ex. I really hope so.

On one of the pictures that were posted online, the baby looked drowsy and was holding on to a prescription bottle. It looks disturbing. However I noticed that the child was wearing a full body pajama and a hat. He was kept warm. If she truly hated this child, she would not have taken the time to dress him up comfortably. Unless it was someone else who put on his outfit.

Just my opinion. :)

Heather, we are both due around the same time (my due date is Apr. 18), and both with boys! :) We've named ours Ian! :)

Has your baby been pushing up on your ribs at all? This one seems to always want to lodge in there all of the time. lol

*Sighs* I could totally see some rabid pro-choicer like Amanda Marcotte just looking for a reason to slander us and taking these picture out of context *rolls eyes and waits*

Heather and Bethany, congratulations for being "with blob!"

Isn't there a lesson in here somewhere for babysitters?? Call someone for help, get this baby some help, something was not right with baby Gabriel. Make the call!!

Thank you, Phillymiss!

Have you ever noticed that when a pro-deather is pregnant and wants the child, they say "I'm having a baby." But if that very same child is an inconvenience they do their best to dehumanize it by calling that very same child a "fetus" or "a clump of cells."

Same child...

Stories like Gabriel's make me want to hug my kids that much more and tell them how much I love them.

I hear about baby Gabriel too. I cannot comprehend the unfeeling nature of some people. It is certainly linked to abortion. And in a lot of cases there is an abortion in the mother's past that makes her unable to bond with later children. Susan Smith comes to mind. she had an abortion as a teen and then later thought nothing of strapping her two children in a car and rolling it into a lake. Abortion warps the minds of everyone involved.

Congrats to the pregnant mamas! I don't think I am pregnant this month and I am soooo discouraged. This is month 4 of trying now. Why is it taking so long? I just keep praying to the Author of Life to bless me with another child. Its hard when I see these moms throw their babies away and I wonder why I don't have another child when I would never throw my baby away. I feel so sad. Ugh...sorry, venting. I trust God's timing. I do. His way is best.

Sydney, I had no idea about Susan Smith's abortions, but that definitely makes sense! If they're disposable when not wanted before birth, why not after? It's the logical conclusion when you consider abortion to be an option.

Sydney, I totally understand where you are coming from. With my first baby, it took 6 months before I finally became pregnant. I cried every month when I was not pregnant. But 6 months isn't really a long time, I now know. Back then, it seemed like an eternity.

When I decided to try for a 4th child, it took (If I recall correctly) about 1 year. Then I finally became pregnant and had the miscarriage...then 3 months later, I became pregnant and had another. It took 2 years after that before I finally conceived again with this baby. So believe me, I know how you feel!

Hang in there, I know it will happen for you eventually...in exactly the right time.

Thanks Bethany! I KNOW four months hasn't been long and I KNOW that when God wants me to get pregnant again I will. But its still hard to tell my heart. Your words are so encouraging and kind. THANKYOU!!!! :-)

As a around the Beltway resident, I recommend the TWO AMY's pizza for a casual nice place to get some good food. It's going to be very cold tomorrow. Prayers for all who can attend. Prayers for all who witness. Thank you for being such a voice of strength, truth and light.

Thanks to all of the congrats! Re; Susan Smith. Yes. I read the book about her. She did indeed have an abortion following a fling. She attempted to commit suicide twice after the abortion. {No. Abortion doesn't hurt women.} And as we all know, she drown her two boys years later.
