Pakistani woman slated for "honor killing" given stay of deportation

roohi 2.jpgKelli reported last week that illegal alien Roohi Tabassum, who fled to Canada in 2001, was scheduled to be deported to Pakistan today to almost certain death at the hand of her husband.

I received word last night from several sources that Tabassum was given a stay of deportation yesterday. This buys her time but is not the final result desired. WorldNetDaily.com has the complete story. Thanks to all who made calls or wrote emails to help Roohi. This isn't over, but it's a start.

Why aren't the feminists howling? why do they daily attack Gov Palin and not breathe disgust for rights of Muslim women?

a stay of deportation is a start, but its not good enough. Let her stay, please.

xppc,

"Why aren't the feminists howling?"

Exactly, is the MSM commenting on this poor woman's plight? I don't know. Where's Jeaneen Garafalo?

now, this is a case where an illegal immigrant should be able to stay. They better not send her back. If they do the US should take her in.

I hope that she gets permission to stay; this is terrible. However, if she is given temporary amnesty, that gives her and all who are rooting for her a glimmer of hope. I'll pray for her.
