  • Secular Pro-Life discusses the vote this week on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and gives analysis of some of the concerns/objections to this legislation from pro-life activists.

50 churches within 2 miles of “Texas Gosnell’s” late-term abortion clinic (Osteen’s – 3 miles)

Click to enlarge… The worst part of this poster, in my opinion, is the fine print at the bottom: “This child was murdered in Texas by abortionist Douglas Karpen within 2 miles of 50 visible churches.” Furthermore, Lakewood Church, which boasts a weekly attendance of 43,500, and where Joel Osteen is pastor, is located only […]

Lopez: The soul of our nation depends on ability to “nourish life”

Kathryn_Jean_Lopez_by_Gage_SkidmoreThe frightened teenage girl. The single inner-city mom who has made some bad choices and doesn’t quite know what she can do. The 20-something on a career track whose boyfriend is not up to the task of fatherhood. The busy young couple that determines it is not the right time. These are all real scenarios, involving real fears, influenced deeply by a culture that pretends abortion is a quick fix, a solution to a problem.

The health of not just our citizens but our national soul demands that we do a better job, that we work hard to foster and nourish life, both in the womb and outside of it. It’s the only way to ensure a society that lives up to the ideals it was founded upon….

Stanek to testify for nationwide 20-week abortion ban

Sponsor to show reality of late-term abortions

Trent-FranksTomorrow pro-life Republican Congressman Trent Franks will hold a hearing in the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, where he is chairman, on the District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, of which he is lead sponsor.

And now that bill has grown by leaps and bounds. Reported the Washington Post today:

Gosnell verdict reached

Gosnell 416

2:27p: Per CNN’s David Ariosto (via Twitter): ‘The jury in the Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell case has reached a verdict on all 263 counts.”

Landmark Michigan abortion clinic closes

This makes seven in eight months!

2013-05-10_1002

Great news comes from Michigan of yet another abortion clinic closing – Birth Control Center in Sterling Heights.

This makes the SEVENTH abortion mill to close in in the Great Lake State since last September.

Gosnell resolution introduced in both House and Senate

Mike_LeeUPDATE 5/9 2:15p: Last night Representatives Fincher, Stutzman, and Blackburn introduced the House version of the Gosnell resolution, which calls on Congress to review illegal abortion practices.

Meanwhile, pro-abortion Senators Blumenthal, Boxer, and Shaheen are trying to block the Gosnell resolution in the Senate and have introduced a watered down resolution condemning bad behavior in medical facilities everywhere. Pro-life Senator Lee, pictured right, responded with a hoot of a gotcha. According to the Daily Caller, he said:

S. E. Cupp: Why aren’t pro-choicers trying to stop future Gosnells?

se_cupp_08You might think that the stunning lack of oversight in this case – multiple government agencies failed to put an end to his illegal practices over the years – would prompt calls for new legislation to make it harder for criminals like [Kermit] Gosnell to do what he did for as long as he did. But Planned Parenthood has opposed the idea. It insists that no new regulations can stop a physician who has decided to disregard the law.
