Media ignores pro-life ire over Komen-Planned Parenthood bond

Komen donations down after Planned Parenthood reconnect, thanks to pro-life supportersYet another mainstream media outlet is crediting – or blaming, depending on one’s viewpoint – abortion supporters for the fundraising woes Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure has experienced in the aftermath of its realliance with Planned Parenthood, while ignoring any ire pro-life proponents may be demonstrating with their closed wallets.

From TribLive.com, June 23, which also perpetuates another falsehood:

Pro-aborts succeed in making ultrasound legislation radioactive – NOT

2012-03-06_1027-e1331059618165

Last year abortion proponents attempted to make ultrasound legislation radioactive by portraying the method used for early pregnancies, transvaginal ultrasound, as “rape.”

Vaginal probes,” as the other side menacingly tagged them, are “a very invasive procedure,” according to NBC’s David Gregory.

GOP challenged for funding Komen while trying to defund Planned Parenthood

[L]ast February… the national Susan G. Komen Foundation initially announced it would stop funding Planned Parenthood, but then reinstated that funding within a few days…. We understand that your silent auction donations are intended for the Nebraska affiliate of Susan G. Komen which may not have any funding going to Planned Parenthood, but the fact […]

Planned Parenthood’s new annual report: Abortions up, gov’t funding up

Planned Parenthood Federation of America has released it 2011-2012 annual report, and the numbers aren’t pretty.

The actual reporting period was October 2010 through September 2011. During this time Planned Parenthood murdered 333,964 babies.

Coincidentally, when I checked the census of U.S. cities to provide perspective, the one with the population closest to the number of babies PP killed is Aurora, Colorado, where a gunman massacred 12 people in a movie theater last July.

Aurora’s population is 332,354. In one year’s time Planned Parenthood massacred as many people as who live in this 56th most populated city in America.

This brings the total number of babies Planned Parenthood has killed since it began keeping records to almost 6 million: 5,983,022, to be exact – 2/3 of the population of New York City, and over two times the population of Chicago.

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood received a record amount of tax dollars: $542.4 million, up from $538.5 mil in 2010-11 and $487.4 mil in 2009-2010. Forty-five percent – almost half of PP’s income – now comes from you and me. Click to enlarge….

Komen betrayed from within, Part II: The coincidences

Yesterday I described all the players who doomed Susan G. Komen for the Cure from within to lose  against Planned Parenthood’s assault when it tried to defund the abortion giant.

Today I will list “coincidences” from Karen Handel’s book, Planned Bullyhood, and also from my interview with her, that give evidence of the Trojan Horse.

Book on Komen’s cave to Planned Parenthood passes Politifact’s “truthometer” test

Georgia’s Politifact decided to analyze Karen Handel’s book, Planned Bullyhood, on two key points.

  • Of all places, the New York Times highlights a new study which notes how abortion (especially multiple abortions) increases a woman’s risk of preterm birth for later pregnancies:

After controlling for smoking, a history of miscarriage, socioeconomic level and other factors, the investigators found that the risk for very preterm birth — that is, birth at 28 or fewer weeks of gestation — increased with the number of previous abortions a woman had had: a 19 percent increase after one abortion, 69 percent for two, and 278 percent for three.

“War on Women” 2.0: Obama attacks Romney on Planned Parenthood

The Obama campaign launched a television ad over the weekend attacking Mitt Romney for attacking Planned Parenthood.

Airing in seven battleground states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Nevada, North Carolina, and Virginia), the ad manages in 30 seconds to hit Romney on several liberal reproductive talking points.

The well-crafted piece starts with a pitchwoman assailing Romney for opposing contraceptives. One must read over what she is saying (see above right) to know the complaint is actually about Romney’s opposition to the Obamacare contraception mandate.
