Painting depicts Mother Teresa “marching” with Margaret Sanger

by Carder Mother Teresa should not be imaged marching in solidarity with Margaret Sanger and hung in a public setting. It betrays Mother Teresa [to show her] marching in solidarity with Margaret Sanger, who believed in forced sterilization and was a eugenicist… … The office which oversees the authorization of Mother Teresa’s image respectfully but […]

Pro-life blog buzz 3-13-15

  • At Students for Life, Kristan Hawkins wonders what Michael Voris’ point was when he created an error-filled video which makes dubious claims about abortion and the pro-life movement. Hawkins says Voris is “irresponsible” and using “faulty logic” to claim “abortion numbers aren’t declining,” among other things. Hawkins backs up her rebuttal with links to the facts:

Not citing any sources, he proclaimed that chemical abortions aren’t tracked and comprise a quarter of all abortions. Therefore, he said, these must be added to the million+ abortions every year, which basically comes out to a number that shows abortions are not declining.

While Voris appears to make a convincing case in his six-minute video, he is wrong.

Planned Parenthood’s “beneficence” is like a KKK bake sale

by Kelli The nation’s abortionist-in-chief tweeting yet another quote about human dignity from the champion of justice for all is as sincere as China celebrating freedom of speech. “Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle…” was the MLK quote tweeted. And it was sent by one who […]

Catholic St. Norbert College to invite pro-abort Gloria Steinem on campus

by Carder It’s so wrong and scandalous. Especially at a Catholic campus… Because Gloria Steinem is like Margaret Sanger. Or even worse. She boasted about her own abortion, saying: “it felt positive.” On another occasion, she said: “There is no organization in this country or the world that is more important than Planned Parenthood.” (NJ.com, […]

Cosmo mag wrong about Jessa Duggar’s Holocaust remarks

by Kelli

jessa-duggarCosmo went into full anti-woman mode. [Writer Jill] Filipovic attacked Jessa Duggar for daring to put history into perspective….

Jessa’s remarks on Instagram conveyed a profound understanding of the past and applied it to the present. Over 56 million human lives have been butchered by an abortion industry birthed in the same racist and elitist pseudoscience of eugenics that created the racial hygiene theory that led to the slaughter of millions in the Holocaust….

  • Americans United for Life board member Monique Chireau was quoted in a piece at the New York Times, but AUL says the NYT failed to report some pertinent information:

Abortion data in the United States is VOLUNTARILY reported by abortionists – and some states don’t report at all.

In contrast to most important health indicators – births, deaths, cancer, HIV, STDs, etc. – there is no national reporting law requiring that abortions or their complications be reported to national health officials or agencies. Our model legislation has been designed to address this void. And to require women and girls be given all the information available before having an abortion or taking a life-ending drug.

  • Wesley J. Smith says the bioethics community is finally beginning to criticize artificial reproduction techniques like IVF – but not for the reasons you might think:

But now, in the ever more radical Journal of Medical Ethics, Cristina Richie, of Boston College’s Department of Theology, argues that these technologies should be regulated to limit the number of children – called “carbon legacies,” as a means of fighting climate change.

    Smith opines:

I don’t know if Richie coined the term, but it is ridiculous. Children are children, not bundles of carbon producers…. No, grim is the exploitation of surrogates in biological colonialism and the eugenic impetus that has sunk its fangs deep into the heart of the industry. In the face of such human objectification, sorry, I can’t get upset about global warming.

“Pro-choice” proponents turn on Planned Parenthood

wolves circling planned parenthoodI wrote on August 4 that a July 28 New York Times article about Planned Parenthood’s decision to abandon the term “pro-choice” had triggered a race war within the abortion movement.

This was because Planned Parenthood steered NYT journalist Jackie Calmes to seven white leaders of abortion groups for quotes but no women of color.

Plus, Planned Parenthood gave no credit to WOC groups for expanding on abortion advocacy to include other “reproductive justice” issues, a term WOC coined two decades ago. This July 31 tweet didn’t come out of nowhere…
