Pro-life blog buzz 12-12-14

  • At Life Training Institute, The Failed Atheist links to his excellent response to the viral UK video of a pregnant pro-choicer chastising Abort 67 pro-lifers for holding abortion victim images in front of an abortion facility. TFA responds to the woman’s arguments, such as, “It’s wrong to show abortion imagery because we don’t know why they are having an abortion,” “You’re a hypocrite because you’ve had an abortion,” and “Some of the women wanting an abortion may have been abused.”

  • At Live Action News, Lauren Enriquez gives an update on the courageous teacher who took a stand against Planned Parenthood’s indoctrination of his students and was fired for it. He has filed a wrongful termination suit:

Planned Parenthood persisted in bribing his students with cash and gifts to sign up for the government-funded “Teen Outreach Program” even after [Bill] Diss asked them to leave. And the clearly-biased school administration sided with Planned Parenthood, subjecting Diss to scrutiny and discrimination for his belief that Planned Parenthood’s involvement in his math class was not in the best interest of his students’ well-being.

BREAKING: In new undercover video Planned Parenthood tells minor “harm” ok if consensual

Planned Parenthood gives dangerous sex BDSM advice to minorsToday Live Action released its fifth undercover video exposing Planned Parenthoods across the country as promoters and educators to minors of dangerous, violent sexual activity known as BDSM*.

In this video, shot at the Planned Parenthood in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, the “counselor” goes so far as to tell Live Action’s investigator, posing as a 15-year-old, that causing “harm” to her is “ok” if consensual. That is not only sick advice, it is dangerous. Consensual harm to what extent? Quoting Live Action’s press release:

  • Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life says Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton appears to value dogs and cats more than the women of his state who procure abortions:

A measure to license and inspect commercial dog and cat breeders — passed by the Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Mark Dayton earlier this year — went into effect on July 1. The new regulations throw into sharp relief Dayton’s refusal to accept any state licensing or inspection of abortion facilities, which perform thousands of surgical procedures on Minnesota women each year.

Planned Parenthood audaciously hosts “Born After Roe” events

Planned Parenthood "Born After Roe" pro-abortion anti-pro-life eventLast night Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota held a “Born After Roe Advocacy Salon” on the topic of the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision.

As near as I can tell, this is the fifth “Born After Roe” event this affiliate has held, aimed at “Planned Parenthood’s Next Generation.”

It has gone so far as to create a #bornafterroe Twitter hashtag, a dare to pro-life tweeters, really.

Stanek weekend question: When does “anti-choice bullying” cross the line, if ever?

UGAabortion030714

Let’s start this conversation by taking violence off the table. Both pro-lifers and abortion supporters agree that violence emanating from either side is wrong and committed by outliers.

Beyond that, where, if ever, can pro-lifers cross the line? The U.S. Supreme Court is currently considering the constitutionality of a Massachusetts buffer zone law, the decision of which will have implications across the country. Can a state or municipality erect an unseen red line of whatever distance it decides to keep pro-lifers from reaching out to mothers going into abortion clinics to kill their babies? The other side, of course, calls this harassment.

A couple days ago pro-choicer Robin Marty (by now a friend, in actuality) took me on for outing Minnesota businesses that are supporting an abortion fundraiser:

Abortion fundraiser lists sponsors without their knowledge

UPDATE 6:20p: Awesome! Another supposed backer of this abortion bowl-a-thon has responded that he had no knowledge and wants out. I wonder how many ever really knew?

5:16p: The 21 annual Pro-Choice Resources Bowl-A-Thon is undergoing scrutiny as never before, and the findings are revealing – particularly to sponsors who never signed up to support this abortion group’s fundraiser.

Brrr! Polar Plunge raises funds for pregnancy center

winterplunge-logo-300-x-265by Lead moderator Carla

This Saturday, February 22, I will be doing a Winter Plunge to raise money for the Lakes Life Care Center in Forest Lake, Minnesota. This is different for me. Years ago, I ran a triathlon to raise money for another pregnancy center – and I realized that I am really not good at triathlons. But maybe I can handle freezing for a good cause. Jump in. Jump out!
