This weekend’s question has to do with Barack Obama and Jesus Christ.

On the other end of the spectrum is this newly released clip of Alan Keyes’ explanation on Hannity and Colmes why he said Jesus Christ would not vote for Barack Obama (his opposition to Born Alive)…
To this day I still get comments on the column I wrote over 2 years ago explaining why Dr. Keyes made that statement.
Finally, to complete this trilogy of videos, here is a new ad featuring Barack Obama insinuating he understands the Bible better than many, even as he takes a few of its passages out of context…

What are your thoughts on all these comparisons of Obama to both the Messiah and the anti-Christ and everywhere in between, in conjunction with Obama’s overt attempt to woo Catholic and Evangelical Christians?

Obama’s rise to stardom is a product of different factors. First, he is a very smooth, articulate speaker, which the liberals find extremely important. His far left-wing views are in line with who now runs the Democratic Pary, but he is extremely deft at hiding his radical past. Obama is the perfect candidate for the left because of their seemingly constant preoccupation with race. Finally, and maybe most important, is the fact that the mainstream media is 100% behind Obama. They shape nearly all of their stories to make him appear to be something that transends all of humanity. That is why you rarely, if ever, hear stories in the mainstream press about his abortion views, William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, his work with ACORN, and the rest of his radical ties.
I, like many of you, have also received many emails even questioning whether Obama is the anti-Christ given his almost supernatural political rise, which he himself deemed “spooky good fortune” in his book, Audacity of Hope.
He’s no Messiah…and when I first heard of the anti-christ comparison I thought it was a bit extreme, but the more I hear/read, the more I think it may not be that far off of a description. Christians MUST pray for his defeat.
His speeches will be heard by millions who will hang on his persuasive rhetoric. The content as well as the form of his speech will attract. Like most false prophets, he will even be sincere and passionate. But he is a liar. He adds dashes of truth to the mix, so that his lie tastes like truth. He will use all the right catchwords, using the language of the church, even throwing in a Bible text or two. But he is the ultimate Liar, and will deceive many.
Ask yourselves this question… how many cars and t-shirts have you seen with Obama’s face on them, and how many have you seen with Jesus Christ’s face on them?

Otherwise he may become so bitter and discouraged that he won’t be able to recover. Please show him now that you still do love him very much.

I’ve never seen a shortage of religious paraphanelia–it’s just most people like them in the form of jewelry, or picture frames, or crosses, or rosaries, rather than plastering his face on a t-shirt.
All of this desperate mudslinging from the McCain campaign only makes me wonder if the Republican party can only win elections if they play dirty rather than focus on the issues.

When I was first preparing to want to vote for this Presidential election, I wanted Sam Brownback, but he dropped out early. :( Then I wanted Duncan Hunter. He dropped out.
Someone actually made a poster with the words “new hope” (like the name of the first star wars film “A New Hope”) and used Obama’s face. I HATE that.
We don’t see other Christians taking certain parts of the old Testament out of context. We don’t force women to marry their rapists. We don’t stone children. And there are things about clothes and the types of fiber or something.
Louis Farakahn’s connection to Obama is very dangerous.
To think that Louis Farakahn has any credibility is to think that Alan Keyes has any credibility. Both are small fishes in a sea that is bigger than any of their ideas (which few outside of the realm of talk radio producers looking for “shocking” material) to play pay attention to.

Mr. o’bama claims, professes to be, not just a christian, but a ‘committed christian’. Words mean things. ‘Committed’ is an adjective and ‘christian’ is descriptive noun. The term ‘committed christian’ is a redundancy; kind of like ‘born again christian’.
I take mr. o’bama at his word, but I continue to listen to his words and observe his deeds to see if they are consistent with each other and with the GOD I know.
I have to be honest. The abortion thing, and particularly the infanticide thing, is causing me to question the sincerity of mr. o’bama’s words in general.
Now I know there were american and british christians who not only owned slaves, but advocated slavery. Some even said slavery was good for the slaves. In restrospect we can agree that they were wrong. Some of their contemporaries even pointed it out at the time.
One abolitionist US Senator was almost beaten to death by a pro-slavery Senator on the floor of the Senate.

There are two kinds of men. Those who do not waste words and those who do not let words go to waste.
Alan Keyes is the latter.
But Mr. Keyes is not stupid or ignorant. He has accomplished somethings with his life.
The point Mr. Keyes made about having a hard time imagining Jesus voting for mr. o’bama based on o’bama’s mulitple votes in the Illinois Senate frustrating attempts to protect premature infants was right on point.
If the debate had been about spotted owls or old growth forests I would have said Mr. Keyes overstated his case.
Alan Colmes, like so many others, missed the point and went to great lengths to do it.

I think the comparisons are produced by extremist crazies, and thus have as much credibility as an extremist crazy.
By the same token, I think it’s kind of awesome that these over-inflated cartoon critiques of Obama get disseminated by the nutjobs, mostly because the moderates start to tune out any and all critiques once a few of the obviously crazier ones get out there. Every source that repeats the crazy speculations (Obama’s the anti-christ! Obama’s a secret Muslim! Obama wants to kill your baby!) discredits itself. Kind of like the boy who cried wolf…everyone normal just stops listening.
I’m registered to vote, but I am not *affiliated* with either major party. I get tired of all the junk mail that comes when there’s an election — especially two years ago when my legislature’s district was up for grabs. I got so much junk, I tossed it in my junk mail bag right away.
I don’t like the tactics of either campaign. My VOTE MUST count this year. I’m not stupid enough to vote for someone who says “punished with a baby” and “I will sign the FOCA”

B.O. is not THE antichrist but he certainly is anti-christ if you know what I mean. This is a good peek into what the antichrist will be like, considering his ability to deceive the masses with his flowery speeches full of lies. He distorts the truth but there are only a few who call him out on it and nobody listens when they do. They’re instantly dismissed as nutjobs because they haven’t been fooled by the Obamessiah.

If o’bama dose not want his own daughters to be punished with his grand-baby, you can be sure he will not want to be punished with some one elses babies and if he sees no humanity worthy of protection in the womb, then I can see him justifying someone else’s baby being killed. I do not have to imagine it. o’bama’s record documents the fact.
I think when people put their faith and hope in a man instead of in God, that man can be considered an anti-Christ.
Just look what happened with Spitzer in my State, NY. He had approval ratings in the 90’s, and less than a year later he was resigning from office after getting caught using a prostitue. People thought he would be a saviour as well.

Whether Obama is THE anti-christ is not yet known. It is incumbent upon Christians to study on the subject so that they are not decieved by him. ALL who follow the anti-christ will be lost forever.
Having said that, there is an anti-christ spirit in the world that is opposed to God. So whether Obama is THE anti-christ is not the question, the question is do his actions reflect an anti-christ spirit. I say it is crystal clear that they do. The greatest evidence of that is his ability to even decieve God’s elect. This should be no surprise, the Bible clearly prophesied that this was going to happen. Jesus also know who His own are.

The way I understand it, Barack worked for ACORN as a lawyer to represent them and had oversight into their voter registration efforts (since they are the largest voting registration organization in the country).
A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.
apparently ACORN is involved in the mortgage mess too by threathening banks with discrimination lawsuits if they didn’t give loans to welfare recipiants.

The government has to exercise some kind of control in order to lower prices.

I have been trying my best to learn as much about Wright as possible ever since I saw Obama speaking to planned parenthood about teaching science based education within the context of the black community and the black church initiative. I heard that and automatically remembered black liberation theology which is something I read that Obama did not denounce when he denounced Wright. It is all coming together now. Here is my summary because a video would be too long but i’ll make the video. My summary Trinity was based on oh gosh this is too much. My face is red from the blood pressure build up and I have epilepsy that is brought on by stress and the meds for the epilepsy causes me to not be able to use words or think of words like I used to. Good article. Obama is a great example of what THE Anti-Christ will be, but he is not the Anti-Christ. I do not believe the man is a Christian as he claims. That is just a title to him as it is to so many today. If he were, we would hear him mention Jesus at some time. Frankly, I’m not too sure about anybody on any of the tickets. “All-in-all, a great person, a great woman, just a wonderful person” is how Alexis Guidry described her mother to Local 2 Investigates.
“As far back as I can remember, they’ve always voted in the election,” Guidry said of her parents.
The March 2008 Primary was no exception. Voting records show Alexis’ mom, Gloria Guidry, cast her ballot in person near her South Houston home.
“It was just very shocking, a little unsettling,” said Alexis Guidry.
It’s unsettling because Gloria Guidry died of cancer 10 months before the March Primary.
Trent Seibert, of Texas Watchdog, says you should be too.
“This is really disquieting. It’s concerning. It’s worrisome,” said Seibert.
He heads up the non-partisan news group on the web.
Texas Watchdog compared Harris County’s voter registration roll with the Social Security death index and found more than 4,000 matches — registered voters that, it appears, are already dead.
Some of them, like Henderson Hill’s late wife Linda, voted postmortem.
“I would like to know who did it, myself,” Hill told Davis.
We don’t know who used Linda Hill’s or Gloria Guidry’s IDs to vote, but we do know if their names had been purged from voter rolls after they died, using their IDs wouldn’t have worked.
“This is a red flag. No matter where you are, this should set off alarm bells,” Seibert said. “Someone needs to take a look at this.”
“On Tuesday, authorities in Nevada seized records from ACORN after finding fraudulent registration forms that included the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys.”
As I’ve said before, ACORN has supervisors that go through and check the cards for duplicates and obvious fakes. But, they can’t just burn them and move on. All cards have to be turned into the election board. It was the organization that handed them in and told the board first off that they knew a certain amount of them were fake.

This happens to every organization that does voter registration, but acorn does the largest one in the country so it is going to happen on a larger scale. “Investigation” is to see if any of the duplicates were intentional, and who it was, to track it down. The people involved are seasonal, low-level employees that are TAKING ADVANTAGE of the organization. If it turns out an employee is covering for the canvasser they are fired, turned in, and changes are made to prevent.
Voter-reg fraud is different than voter fraud in that it typically doesn’t affect actual voting due to the board’s oversight. So again I ask if it is all this evil organization, what would they have to gain from this? They paid those guys who put in all the duplicates (to you know get paid without doing work). So they are losing money. There really is no reason acorn would benefit from such activity. The whole media slam is so overdone and ridiculous.
Again if a big corporation like wal-mart had some cashiers rip them off and get investigated and arrested, youwould hold contempt for the cashier who did it, and not the whole corporation. The difference here? Obama did some work for acorn in the past. I would ask if you see where I’m going with this, but it could be asking for too much, apparently.

Actually the first “Christian” group to “disfellowship” persons for being slave owners were the Society of Friends ( AKA Quakers) around 1778 in Maryland, but Quakers as we exist today do not as a whole consider ourselves Christian.

There have been a great many people throughout history that have been wonderfully articulate and intelligent but also despotic and deranged, if not worse. It is nice that Obama is bright, but that alone does not qualify him for the most important job in the world. Anyone who has attended college probaby knows of a dozen or more professors that are “intelligent and articulate” but would have trouble fighting their way out of a wet paper bag.
Barack Obama should not even be in the race, much less have a chance to win. That he is even close is a sign of two things. One, that the MSM has been in his camp, with tingling feelings running up and down their legs, since “the speech” four years ago; and two, that a great many people are either unaware of his extreme leftism, or do not care. The obvious choice for the Dems was Hillary, but even against McCain Obama doesn’t begin to come close to matching the breadth and depth of his opponent’s experience.
Other troubling aspects of his candidacy: his cult like following, the fainting, the adulation, the singing Obama kids, the singing Obama teens, the oohing and aahing at the mezzmerizing speeches that say nothing, the annoiting of Obama as “the messiah” by the most racist person in America, and finally, the best saved for last, the recent endorsement of his candidacy by the rap star “Bow Wow.”

I have to confess when Ronald Reagan was president I did get pretty excited when he spoke. He made me feel good about the USA and he made me feel hopeful about the future. I was younger then, but I trusted him to do what he felt was best for the country, not for his legacy, or his party, but the country.
Looking back I can see where my emotions may have over ruled my reason at times. That happens sometimes with us humans.
When Ronald Reagan passed away I was pleasantly surprised at the public show of respect for this man. This was not organized. I believe it was spontaneous. I remember seeing the aerial shots of people lining the overpasses and the road sides in California to get a glimpse of the hearse carrying his body as it was passing by. Adults brought their children who had not yet been born when Reagan was in the White House. That was genuine, nothing staged or choreographed about it.
While Reagan was still in office I met and interacted with people in Washington State who hated, despised, and reviled him. I could not understand their response.
Then I endured eight years of Bill Clinton. I can honestly say I did not hate him, but I would have had to struggle to make myself revive him if I had found him blue and no pulse and no respiration. Bill Clinton is the classic self absorbed narcicist. He was all about Bill all the time.
I hope Bill Clinton lives a long, long time. I hope he finds peace with God and with himself and he enjoys his grandchildren and great granchildren. He may have already found peace.
But I hope I outlive him, because I want to see the response of the american people to his passing. I want to see the response of the people of Arkansas.
Somewhere it is written that God honors those who honor HIM. That might explain some of the outpouring of honor and respect for Ronald Reagan. It will be interesting to wait and see what Bill Clinton’s legacy really is.

The need for investigation comes in when it is determining whether it was intentional or not. Cards can come in duplicates because some people think they need to re-register, for example. But those intentionally trying to rip off the organization by committing voter reg fraud–I have no problem with them getting justice. Hence the idea that employees are being ‘investigated.’ If those employees are say putting the starting lineup–regardless of whether the supervisor has caught it or not–all cards are turned in. Those employees that intentionally do so will get fired and dealt with legally.

she probably doesn’t understand that we are more likely for extended war under Obama than under McCain. She also likely does not realize 46,000 babies were killed in Illinois alone last year. There was sanity in her generation and people didn’t adopt political platforms to keep building baby killing fortresses throughout our society. More Americans are hurt and killed by abortion then are hurt by conventional war. And the souls lost are 100’s of times greater if you count each woman who submits herself to the abortionist.

BTW, it is despicable that anyone who doesn’t want to vote for Obama is labeled as a racist. I am not going to vote for him because he will not protect the most helpless among us, many of whom are minorities!!! I also do not want to vote for him because he is a closet socialist and will ruin our country and our economy (since you appear to be more interested in your pocketbook instead of innocent human life,)

If I were an unborn fetus …. I’d say John McCain would be a better choice for my future. Mr. Obama wants mothers to be free to kill fetuses like me anytime before I’m born, for any reason. If my mom doesn’t want me, I am sure there are other people who can love me and take care of me.
