Breaking: Right to Life of Michigan PAC rescinds Stupak’s endorsement
Bravo. From a press release:
On Wednesday, March 24, the Right to Life of Michigan Political Action Committee notified U.S. Representative Bart Stupak that his endorsement was rescinded. In a letter sent to Rep. Stupak, the RLM-PAC qualified how the endorsement criteria was no longer met….
The letter noted the endorsement had been based on Rep. Stupak’s voting record, previous interview and completion of a questionnaire in which Rep. Stupak indicated he would oppose any efforts to include federally funded abortion in national health care plans; support efforts to specifically exclude federally funded abortion in national health care plans; and be willing to vote against federal funding of abortion except where necessary to save the life of the mother.
On March 21, Rep. Stupak failed to meet those requirements by voting for President Barack Obama’s health care bill, H.R. 3590.
In accordance with the Right to Life of Michigan Political Action Committee bylaws and by the March 23 unanimous vote of the RLM-PAC Board, the Right to Life of Michigan Political Action Committee rescinded Rep. Stupak’s endorsement, effective immediately.
Another member of the U.S. House from Michigan who calls himself prolife, yet voted in support of H.R. 3590, is Representative Dale Kildee. While Rep. Kildee was endorsed by the Right to Life of Michigan PAC in the past, he did not meet the RLM-PAC criteria in 2008 and was not endorsed by the RLM-PAC in that election. Representative Kildee does not meet RLM-PAC’s definition of prolife.
Stupak more than deserves it. He allowed a solidly pro-abortion bill to be made law.
Way to go! No more politicians using a watered-down pro life badge. You’d better prove it in action if you want my vote.
The bill isn’t pro abortion. Bart stupak fought harder (and delayed the bill longer) than any other democrat to make sure there WASN’T any abortion language in the bill. In short: the bill doesn’t let you use taxpayer money to fund abortions. In fact, it doesn’t use taxpayer money for anything medically because there isn’t a public option. So how exactly is the bill pro abortion?
Legion..let me ask you this: If the bill is NOT pro-abortion, why is Cecille Richards very, very happy that it passed?

Leigon,
Stupak planned all along to vote for the bill. If the bill did not allow public funded abortions, why did Obama issue a totally worthless executive order “prohibiting” funding of abortion?
Also, on Rachel Maddow, Illinois congresswoman Jan Sharansky(sp)didn’t bother to contain her smirking when discussing how worthless the executive order really is. In other words don’t worry, funding of abortion remains.
“…why do you care what this “cecille Richards” thinks? Why should I care? Who cares? ”
————————————–
There you go, folks…straight from the pro-aborts’ mouth…
Wow. Legion. you’re a dunce. Google who Cecille Richards is and see why we care.
You’re probably a big Bush hater. If Bush said something was good, you’d probably perk up and be on the lookout wouldn’t you? And you’d probalby ultimately conclude its bad because your views, your morals and your character are opposite of Bush. (not that i’m a Bush fan, just an analogy)
Richards is head of Planned Parenthood, number one provider of abortions IN THE WORLD and very rich organization always on the lookout to gobble up tax dollars. So why do you think she is so happy this bill passed? Do a little brain exercise and see if you can conjure up a reason.
Okay! Times up!
Richards is happy because this bill has opened the door for FEDERAL FUNDING OF ABORTIONS. Which means tons of tax dollars flooding into Planned Parenthood’s coffers and ultimately flooding into Cecille Richards pocketbook.
DUH.
I applaud the Michigan Right to Life in taking back their endorsement of Bart Stupak. And for those that say there are no federal tax funds for abortion in the bill needs to be reminded that abortion services will be paid for in the bill from the federal treasury and the treasury has no money of its own. It all comes from taxpayers.

You know there was once talking of the United States revoking communist China’s ‘most favored nation’ status.
It never happened.
The hyper senistive liberals were concerned it might bruise the tender feelings of the marxist masters who engineered the murder of tens of millions of their own citizens.
Some how I do not believe Bart Stupak will lose any sleep over Michigan Right To Life rescinding their equally meaningless endorsement.
What will cause Stuapk to lose some sleep is the flow of money and volunteers into his political opponents campaign and the prospect that Stupak will have to look for work in a state that his democRAT cohorts have turned into a economic waste land.
I can just picture Stupak on the corner with hand written cardboard sign:
“Homeless, will lie convincingly for money.”
yor bro ken
“None of you have shown even a shred of proof to back up these lies you throw around so nonchalantly”
The proof has been posted again and again, ad nauseum for the past year.
Here’s a good run down to catch you up to speed, Legion.

Click around for analysis of each bill’s abortion funding mechanism. Specifically, look at Nelson’s “compromsise” and how it allows public funds for abortion.
Here, Legion. PP believes they can get around some of the abortion language in the law.

And if they can’t get around the Nelson language, they’ve got the Mikulski amendment. But I expect you already knew that.
Gotta love the way you antis treat your own. Bart Stupak fought more than anyone else over the abortion issue in the Health Insurance Reform bill, and this is the thanks he gets:
“Congressman Stupak, you baby-killing mother f***er… I hope you bleed out your a**, got cancer and die, you mother f***er,” one man says in a message to Stupak.
“There are millions of people across the country who wish you ill,” a woman says in a voicemail, “and all of those thoughts that are projected on you will materialize into something that’s not very good for you.”
But don’t take my word for it:

Ray, a couple of angry whack-a-doos do not speak for the entire pro-life movement. Personally, I don’t wish for anything bad for Stupak other than a defeat in November. Bart Stupak lied to his constituents and the American people. For that, he deserves to lose his sweet gig as a congresscritter.
Does anyone remember when Stupak was still maintaining the fiction of being pro-life? He was taking a lot of heat from pro-abortion-choicers. Angry phone calls, etcetera. Were you feeling sorry for him then, Ray?
But look, the dude lied to a lot of people. Stupak played high-stakes poker with the lives of unborn children, and now we know that he was bluffing. Are people angry with him? Sure we are! And he deserves our anger, because he acted shamefully. But, as I said, my thirst for vengeance will be satisfied by a crushing electoral defeat for the Socialist Democratic Party, followed by a swift repeal of the Health Control monstrosity. I’m happy to leave any other retribution in the hands of a higher authority….
I like how the selective indignation kicks in when a few people (unproven as to their motive and identity) say naughty words. Those words do not now, nor will they ever compare to the heinous act of aborting an unborn baby, but according to some people those words constitute the worse of the two.
This is what we have come to in defining morality in our dumbed down country: It is OK to kill an unborn child, but shouting about it and holding signs–well, that is far worse. Just like the hollywood types and other luminaries who go to the ends of the earth to speak to animal rights but don’t have a problem with jamming scissors into partially born babies and sucking out their brains.
You said it, Jerry. Dumbed down, upside down, and inside out.
I’ve prayed quietly outside the abortuary in town and God forbid we should even lean against the wall because the staff there keeps an eye on us and will call the police pronto to report such horrid behavior. But they can lie to women, perform abortions on minors without parental consent (for which they are currently on a year’s probation), and rip babies from the womb.
I’m so glad we’ve got our priorities straight in this country. Good Lord.
Fed Up,
We don’t hear much about the Mikulski Amendment anymore. Do you know if it included in the Healthcare bill?
