Quote of the Day 10-1-10
It’s a frightening fact to face. Currently, at least 78 candidates running for congress believe that abortion is wrong at all times, even if the woman was raped. Let’s be frank, these are candidates who value babies over women.
Robin Marty, RH Reality Check, October 1
Let us PRAY FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE GREAT 78!!!
Thank you, Dear Lord, for 78 strong principled individuals who value all life equally!!!!
God bless them and may they, every one, be elected!!!
Thank God for those who Speak for the Silenced.
Ugh. Yes, we value “babies” over women. Puh-leese. Obviously, pro-aborts don’t value women’s lives, since they don’t care about women who are hurt from abortion, and even die from legal abortions. They value “choice” (abortion) over LIFE, period.
And they have to bring the rape/incest question into the equation….Pfft, they don’t care about rape victims. They’re not helping women NOT get raped, they just want to make sure women abort their babies as often as possible.
Be afraid! Be very afraid!!!!!!! Muhahahahahaha!!!!!!
Mary Lee, exactly! If all the time and money they spend promoting abortion were to go to rape-recovery efforts instead and partnering up with men to educate young men about the nature and effect of this crime, lives would be saved in more ways than one. Many women in the so-called Sex Industry are former rape victims. Do feminists care about them? No, they only care that they can kill their babies. I have had occaission to work with many women in the ‘business.’ Not a single one who confided in me got into that line of work because they thought it would be a great career move. Every single one admitted rape or sexual abuse at an earlier age and expressed feelings of being “damaged goods.” Feminists don’t care on bit about the healing and compassion that women really need after rape. Abortion is about as un-therapeutic as it gets.
I hate this quote for various reasons:
One, I have read numerous pro-choice articles and while I have come to value their insights into how to improve the world for women, I am always saddened by the fact that they cannot accept full equality for unborn people, too. Here is the thing: I have read so many pro-choicers say, “They’re EVILZ!!1!! They oppose abortion for women who are raped!!” but then in the next article turn around and cry, “THEY’RE HYPOCRITZ!!11!! They say abortion is okay if you’re raped, but if you really believed in life at conception you wouldn’t think it’s okay and therefore you don’t believe in life at conception and therefore all you believe is that women are slaves!!”
You’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t. I propose reducing rape. Educate young children about respect for women and men (because men can be the victims of rape, too)- can’t emphasize this enough, educate citizens on what to do to keep themselves safe (for example, if you’re walking home alone, call ahead of time and let someone know that you’re on your way home or watch your own drink), get to the bottom of what makes a rapist, and many other measures that we can take to fight back. Another thing: make sure that this mantra is fully understood: Yes Means Yes and No Means No.
Robin – they’re not against women – let’s wait around 18 years and you’ll see your statements are very, very short-sighted.
