Uh, I don’t usually think of Kim as a role model, but she is right bout this one.
I hope she means ‘be careful’ as in, choose carefully with whom and when you’ll be intimate. I hope she doesn’t mean, ‘grab a handful of condoms from the nurse’s office and go crazy!’ If you have a baby with a someone, you are both connected for the rest of your lives. Don’t ‘hook up’ with creeps or the guy dating your best friend, for example.

My thoughts also! I remember the boys in my high school and they weren’t mature enough to be seen as life partners. That should be enough to scare anyone away from teen sex, IMHO! Maybe these teen girls aren’t concerned with that because their own fathers are not good role models or a part of their lives. The breakdown of the family certainly has messed up our culture. So sad, but it’s not to late to change that.
Umm..what about the fact that her own SISTER has a baby with someone she’s not married to, though? That’s ok just because she’s not a TEEN?

Of course he’s adorable. That wasn’t my point, though. Obviously, those of us who are pro-life are ALL glad he’s alive.

At the same time, it’s good to see a celebrity telling young girls to think before they act.
It doesn’t help that this culture glamorizes unwed parents, like “Brangelina.”
Even the most mature teenager is not capable of being careful 100% of the time…hence the high rate of resulting consequences from any risky behavior.
I’m sorry but I was a mom at 15 and when I was younger I made girls think twice before they had sex. Luckily my high school sweetheart and father of all three of children became my husband in 2006 but it took 4 years to become mature enough to understand marriage. After having a baby so young I know that my friends weren’t saying ‘wow, look how glamorous of a life she has, I want a baby!’, they in fact become more careful in their decision and I’m proud to say that out of all my friends I was the only one who had a baby in high school. The rest of my friends are just now having their children and their average age is 25.
