Animated pro-life conversations with abortion proponents Doug and Joan
For your weekend viewing pleasure, following are 2 more animated videos by pro-life friend Lauren, lifted from actual conversations on this blog with abortion proponents Doug and Joan. (Also see Elsa and Kat’s videos.)
But 1st, here’s Lauren’s (hysterical) animated video of typical pro-choice clichés. Best line, “Get your ro-series off my ovaries”…
Animated Joan looks great.
Animated Doug, well, hate to break it to you.
Some extra calories might be in order.

ABC’s “Private Practice” hearts partial-birth abortion.

Hilarious and sad at the same time. The “personhood” debate is so ludicrous, and it reminds me of my short, imaginary dialogues with abortion advocates (Dialogue #3), here:
http://littlecatholicbubble.blogspot.com/2010/12/my-imaginary-dialogues-with-abortion.html
It’s hard to believe that we all have actually had conversations like this!!

Yeah, I saw that.
And the lousy “pro-life” physician was no pro-lifer after all.
Here’s to “Private Practice” well-deserved implosion.

I wish someone had included one of the funniest (saddest?) lines I have ever read from an abortion defender. The criteria for personhood can’t be identified, but they should ideally be “so self evident as to be objective.” Human is one criteria, but there are apparently all these other necessary but unidentifiable conditions (objective of course). Presumably fetal humans aren’t the only humans excluded from personhood, though I never got an answer on what other humans fail to meet the rest of the unidentified criteria.

This always comes back to the same outlandish B.S. trying to gloss over the main crux of the matter…
If a 17yo girl came to you and said “I just found out I’m pregnant, but I don’t want to have a baby or even be pregnant. What can I do?”
Do you have any answer for her besides “Sorry here are some diapers” Can you offer any other solution that would help? Do you have any other methods of stopping her pregnancy so she does not have to go through child birth?
This is why abortion is legal in the United States of America, because there is no alternative. Contraception and Abortion are all we got.

So how is it “choice” if all we have to offer a woman is abortion after she finds out she is pregnant??
First and foremost you can ask WHY she thinks abortion is the best choice. Killing our own children is never best for the woman or the child.
Biggz,
I would offer her EVERYTHING I wanted for myself before my abortion!!
I would tell her
YOU CAN DO THIS!
I WILL HELP YOU!
YOU CAN HAVE THIS BABY!
YOU ARE A MOM!
I WILL GIVE YOU ALL OF THE HELP AND SUPPORT AND LOVE AND CARE TO HAVE YOUR CHILD!
I will lovingly guide her to her free ultrasound appt and watch her fall in love with her child. Watch her face when she sees that little heartbeat. Watch her woman up and be the mom she already is and fight to protect her child from those that would seek his/her death! Protect her and her baby from folks like you, Biggz. That only offer death as a solution.
It has been a privilege and an honor to walk with women who chose life. They made the choice that I wish I would have.
Women deserve better than abortion. Women deserve better than killing.

Biggz,
Do you have anything to offer this young girl besides the tired line, “It’s your choice.” and some cash to pay for it??

Carla – So, the answer is no then? You cannot offer her anything except “Sorry you’re a mom deal with it”? She will still have to go through childbirth and pregnancy… That’s where the Choice part of Pro-Choice comes from. We offer the choice to be a mom or not. Whereas all you guys can offer her is “Sorry, live with your mistake… you sinner.”
This is why abortion will always be legal in America because you guys have no alternatives to abortion to offer.
How can you kill something that cannot live on it own anyway? A fetus is not alive if it is living off of someone else. Like I have said before, a fetus becomes a baby and an independent person when it is born, comes into our world, and takes its first breath of life. Then and only then is it a person, otherwise we would have to hold a funeral every time a woman has a miscarriage, because a person would have just died… but we don’t because it is not a person.

Yes we can offer her an immediate stop of her pregnancy and no child birth. We can offer her the chance to not have to deal with baby daddies or crazy in-laws over children or child support. We can offer her the choice to have her life go back to the way it was before she found out she was pregnant. We can help her live her life the way she wants and put off being a mother until she wants to be one later. Heck if she finds out fairly early we can offer her two simple pills that will stop a pregnancy even before it gets started. Also we can offer her several ways to stop this from happening again until she is ready.

If her life was so hunky-dory before, she wouldn’t have been having sex at 17. Yeah, push her to kill her child so that her (more than likely) adult boyfriend can continue to use her, no strings attached.

Nice stretch there Prax… Because she is pregnant at 17 that means her life is bad? Because she is pregnant at 17 that means she is being taken advantage of by an older man? Because she is pregnant at 17 she is being used? My mother was married at 17yo….
That’s a pretty tall horse you are sitting on. Do you have a good view of all the lesser mortals or sinners as you call them in your head from up there?

Doug, Joan, Biggz: I wasted a few minutes and made a video response to the wannabe stand-up act that this website has been evolving into. Because abortion is hilarious, right? LET’S ALL GRAB A BOWL OF POPCORN AND LAUGH WITH JILL ABOUT HOW FUNNY ABORTION IS! Follow her lead, guys! If she’s laughing it MUST be funny!

Because she is pregnant at 17 that means her life is bad?
Not necessarily all bad but as I said, it’s not all hunky-dory either.
Because she is pregnant at 17 that means she is being taken advantage of by an older man?
Not always but more likely than not.
Because she is pregnant at 17 she is being used? My mother was married at 17yo….
Again, more likely than not. Do you advocate marriage for 17 year olds? How old was the man who married your mom at age 17? Have you ever had sex with someone under age 18 when you were over age 18?
Do you have a good view of all the lesser mortals or sinners as you call them in your head from up there?
I guess I have a better view of preborn humans from up here than you do because I recognize their mortality and don’t think I have I right to take their life from them. In your head, your life is more important than theirs.

My life is not more important than a fetus because a fetus does not have its own life yet. It’s not a prejudges thing it’s a facts of biology thing…
My father was 19 and heading off to Vietnam when they got married. Yes I had a girlfriend who was 17 when I was 19 and legal consent in Washington is 16 just FYI.
A 17yo girl having sex with her boyfriend but not wanting to be a mother is 100% ok with me and most of the country for that matter. You can put away the “being taken advantage of” chestnut as it takes two to tango unless she was raped then it really is her right to not carry the spawn of her attacker. In the end it is her decision and she should be supported no matter which decision she makes. We support all decisions with regard to pregnancy.

Hi Biggz,
I offer her hope. You offer death. The killing of her own child.
So if your 17 year old is pregnant you would take her to abort your grandchild?

I have to ask the question not one proabort has ever answered for me.
How does abortion help women?
How does killing her own child help her?

Biggz,
A woman’s life is never the same after abortion. There’s no instant, happy fairy-tale ending awaiting post-abortive women. You anti-lifers would love to make the baby go “poof”, but the only magic wand you have is a painful suction device*. When he’s finished with her, the savior “prince” shoves her out the door, never to see her again, unless she wants another abortion, of course.
*Google “abortion instruments images” and you’ll see what I mean.

Amy, quite a few people on both sides of the argument routinely try and put words in their opponents’ mouths. ; ) And there is a ready stable of cliches on both sides to be trotted out.
Jill’s site is a pro-life place, from the get-go, and there is going to be a lot of “preaching to the choir,” and “Amen choruses.” Frankly, I’m glad when they mix it up a little….

That doesn’t make sense, of course the fetus has it’s own life. If something is alive it has a life. You may not value that life or think it isn’t worth protecting but it still has a life. If I may ask Biggz, what exactly makes your life important?
Oh and this is not a ‘facts of biology thing’ because biology shows that there is a new human life at conception. There is no pre-human stage, you either are a human being or you are not. to deny personhood is to the unborn is to discriminate against them.

My only disagreement with “my” video is at the end. “Rape is therefore necessary from the rapist’s point of view. Stealing is therefore necessary from the thief’s point of view.”
Well sure – you can say that about *anything.* There is always going to be some motivation, some desire for something to happen or not to happen. Our wacky and wonderful guy Jerry Falwell had his “necessary” visions, too.
I do not believe the homosexual community deserves minority status. One’s misbehavior does not qualify him or her for minority status. Blacks, Hispanics, women, etc. are God-ordained minorities who do indeed deserve minority status.
If nothing else, you gotta admit he’s a comedic genius.
Okay, to be serious – there will always be people stepping outside the bounds of society, one way or another, and yeah, in a way they’ll view their actions as “necessary.” They are no different than anybody else: their motivation is coming from what they want the most, or from that which they have the least distaste for, among their available choices. That’s the way it works for all of us.
Slavery is often brought up as an example of a thing that was legally permitted. Indeed, it was legal for a time in the US, just as it’s been legal at times and illegal at times in various places the world, for thousands and thousands of years.
For that matter, there are still people who are in favor of slavery (presumably seeing themselves as not among the slaves). And rapes and thefts will occur this very day. What, though, is the ethical argument for slavery, rape, or theft?
Contrast that with the rights of the woman. People must have some claim to bodily autonomy if we are to have a free and ethical society. This is not to say that the unborn should have no moral standing, either. Even if not accorded personhood, there is a valid ethical question there. My point is that any arguments for slavery, rape, or theft are going to be a lot different than for legal abortion.

Carla – My daughter, her mother, and I would sit down and discuss what would be best for her, but in the end the decision would be hers. The focus would be whats best for her and her future. That being said my daughter is set against getting pregnant. She jokingly asked me the other day if we could put uterus up on E-bay when we were talking about grand kids. I am guessing but I think she would choose not to be a mother because she is so focused on her goals and those goals do not include nor can they be reached with a baby in tow. If she wanted to be a a mom I would be a great grandpa. If she wanted to give it up for adoption I would support her and maybe adopt myself. If she want to abort her pregnancy I would also support her. That what dad’s do…
Janet – You are just plain wrong. Most women “especially ones taking the morning after pills” go on about their lives like they just had a regular doctor visit that ended in taking two pills. I can direct you to all kinds of Pro-choice website where woman after woman proclaim they had an abortion, it was no big deal, they had no side effects physical or emotional, and they recommend it to any other woman who are pregnant by accident and don’t want to be.
Janet & Carla – Your bad experience with abortion are the minority and largely of your own making. Read some of the Pro-choice testimonials and you will see it is not a bad experience for all women. Heck some even hold it up as a liberating experience.

I don’t feast on lies about abortion.
It’s a new day!! Take a deep breath!! I am blessed to be alive to carry on!!
My deepest pain has become my greatest passion and today I will help those struggling after their abortions! Today I will offer to young women the support and help and love that I wanted for myself 20 years ago before I aborted!!
God is good!!

(*wry look*) I’ll be happy to find another troll picture which suits you better, if you’d like to send me some specifications…
That, or you could–just *could*, mind you–consider renouncing your troll suit and flame-thrower, developing the necessary modica of {good behaviour, good manners, patience, attention span, and willingness to use critical/logical thought}, and try some civil, reasonable discourse with us? (I’m afraid you’d need to retire your stock-pile of verbal incendiary grenades, your library of canards and snark-missiles, and the like, as well.) It really isn’t as impossible or as unpleasant as it might sound, I assure you… and you may notice a decided improvement in the mood of conversations with you, as well!

I have no issue with the way I am dealt with here. I would note that certain people do demonstrate a distinct ability to distort and misrepresent what has actually been said and that there are a couple with a demonstrated propensity to use snark to the point of outright insult towards some of the other pro-choicers who appear here.
