Multiply does not sound like times 1 or some fraction thereof. Needed is a minimum of 2.1 per couple to at least replace themselves. ! for the mom, 1 for the dad and .1 for those who die early due to disease or accident. Seems like few even reach that number.
With 55 million abortions and twice that number of prevalent STDs at 110 million somehow I am not surprised. That number of STDs include ones that leave one infertile or irritated enough that one is just “not in the mood”.
