Simon Cowell: Fatherhood “puts things in perspective”
by Carder
Maybe because it puts things in perspective having two people in my life who I am responsible for. There were times last year when I would live in two rooms, y’know kitchen and bedroom, in your house. It is a weird existence when you live on your own…. On the phone all night, blah blah blah. Now the house is full of people. It has become a home rather than a house….
Everyone said, “It must be turning your life upside down,” but I love it. The dogs are mad and Lauren is not exactly the most quiet person in the world.

From my understanding, this creep told one of his harem members to have a abortion when she became pregnant by him, which she did, but now all of the sudden he’s so pro-baby and such a loving father (that cheated on his friend and his impregnated his wife). Can’t stand the guy.
I have never read such a thing from ANY reputable news source, not even People magazine which is still a tabloid. Magazines of sensation and tabloids are not good sources of information.
Even if it were from a reputable source, “sources who will remain anonymous” cannot be confirmed. Reporters pay them for information, thus lying and exaggerating is only to be expected. Nobody turns to tabloids that aren’t actual newspapers, accepts their money, refuses to confirm their position, (i.e. friend, co worker) because they believe the public deserves to know or it will help anyone. Money truly is the sole motivation.
We should not judge people or jump to conclusions based on heresy. I know he played the jerk on TV, but everyone on the show had to play a “role”, and he was as honest as he was mean. Once again, thus is not abnormal for anyone in hus career. You never saw him telling contestants they needed a nose job or thry should focus more on sexual dancing like many producers. I do believe the character he played on American Idol is the cause of all these rumours, people want the stories on certain people. If someone seems chill or the type that “has a good time”, stories about their reckless partying come out. People who try and act like grunge or pubk rockers are followed by stories of apparent depression, “Hollywood” couples are surrounded by people who want them to fail. It’s no surprise Simon is hounded with these stories. Plus, this is kind of raining on his parade. He has a child, he’s owning up to the responsibility, living with the mother, facing the negative press, and we sit and PRESUME he’s a horrible person and pressures abortions. It’s like “I’m happy this teen mom chose life, but I hear she’s a stupid broad who wouldn’t be able to raise a baby at all”, “I’m happy she kept her baby even though she’s poor but she’s a total welfare queen!” “I’m glad she didn’t abort just because he left her, but I HEAR she deserved it!”
Considering the circumstances around the pregnancy, if he were the type, this is the situation he would have tried to coerce her abortion. Or cut ties, which mainstream media sources and plenty of people wouldn’t have judged- him insisting he pays child support and never seeing his kid- it’s what’s happened a lot to celebrities and they moved on. But he owned up big time, and he deserves respect.
Hi Simon,
GORGEOUS photo of you and your babe.
But can your babe breathe? Just checkin.
Well regardless of what kind of man Simon is (and I agree that we can’t really know for sure because we don’t know him) these comments are precious.
And the picture is breathtaking!
LOL Carla that’s a good point…. He just looks like he’s snuggling to me. My wee lamb did that all the time to me (he was active in the womb and out) (and currently suffers from Early Onset Toddlerhood) but some babies just keep turning their faces into whatever they’re being held against. My baby won’t sleep without something against his face/cheek. :/ Do what you can I guess.
Sorry I can’t join in this lovefest, I think this guy is disgusting. From what I read, (yes the source was the Daily Mail, not exactly reputable) both him and his sleazy baby momma refused to have a paternity test performed. Wouldn’t it be funny if that kid wasn’t his?
Also, about his ‘act” — there were sometimes people on that show who appeared to have mental health issues. I know that no one forced them to be on television, but the way they were treated by Simon and company was reprehensible. It’s okay to ridicule the mentally ill and the obese in this society; if you’re a fat “crazy” person you are considered a walking joke.
phillymiss, I agree with you. I don’t follow American Idol or other shows but I did hear Mandisa in an interview say he called her names and was constantly riding her about her weight. She is having a successful career as a Christian artist so she is making Simon look like the “small” person he is.
