Planned Parenthood praises deceased actress Polly Bergen

Sad to hear of the passing of Polly Bergen – an unforgettable talent and a beloved friend of Planned Parenthood.
~ Planned Parenthood’s Twitter feed on the death of post-abortive singer/actress Polly Bergen. According to Yahoo! TV, her publicist, Judy Katz, announced that “in lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations be made to Planned Parenthood.”
Added the LA Times:
Bergen also was an ardent feminist, campaigning for the Equal Rights Amendment and women’s reproductive rights. She spoke publicly about having had an illegal abortion when she was a 17-year-old band singer - a procedure that she said prevented her from bearing children for the rest of her life.

It looks like she was the sort of person who treated love and lives and relationships as commodities to be purchased when wanted and discarded when unwanted.
One of my beloved family members was rendered infertile by a legal abortion.
Infertility is a common enough complication after abortion…. whether legal or illegal.
We teach facts against the myth that legal abortion is safer than illegal abortion. Legal abortionists rarely have access to practice in a local hospital, in case of complications…. that makes them just as dangerous as the illegal abortionists.

Just like when actress Bonnie Franklin died. She had step children and was a big abortion fan.
Says Bergen had an kitchen table abortion in the 40s that left her sterile.

I suppose that a bunch of these older Hollywood-types were genuinely enthused about abortion when it burst into our lives in 1973.
The trouble is that they were isolated from the rest of the world as we learned and moved on. We know now how much abortion hurts women. They remain stuck in the ’70’s, urging donations to Planned Parenthood.
They think Planned Parenthood is some sort of charity. They don’t even know that PP gets $600 million each year from taxpayers already — and they would be shocked with disbelief if we tried to tell them.
Hi Del I also believe that this lady may be bitter that she became sterile after her abortion. She doesnt say if she would have liked children iin her future. Like Jane Russel became sterile after her abortion. She adopted and gave her life to Christ. Janes own doctor looked at her and remarked “Omg what did he do to you”?
I also know of at least 3 sterile from legal abortion.
Like we expect more than this from Hollywood ???
I know two ladies who had severe reproductive issues after abortion. One had multiple miscarriages and a stillbirth and the other has been unable to conceive. Both had had “safe and legal” abortions.
I like Dels first comment but I cant give thumbs. If you divorce there is no guarentee you will remarry. If you take a chance and abort there is no guarentee you will be able to have a baby ever again. We all know women in this position so imagine how many we dont know. Perhaps Bergen felt that had she had a legal abortion she could have had bio kids. She adopted 2. She was 17 and made a bad choice but one should be more like Jane Russell and repent. Dont keep supporting child killing.
Just such a shame that we live in a throw away society. This should never have been.
