- At New Feminism, Jennifer Lahl decries California’s new bill that would allow birth certificates to become politicized “by allowing each parent to self-identify as mother, father, or simply ‘parent.'” Lahl argues that this could potentially do a great disservice to “adoptees and those born of anonymous donors”:
The birth certificate legally documents who a child’s parents are. That is, who the birth mother and birth father are. It is a record of who is genetically related to a child. It is not intended to be a means by which adults decide what they want to be called. Rather, it answers the question, who can this child’s beginning be traced to? Who gave birth? Who died?
- Secular Pro-Life says Planned Parenthood supporters are blatantly lying (shocker, I know!) about the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, which SPL states “will not reduce government funding for women’s health care. Not by a single penny! The Act will merely affect how Title X funding is distributed to the health care entities seeking family planning grants.”
What this means is the facilities that perform abortions “will be passed over in favor of those that do not. Among those that do not are more than 8,000 Federally Qualified Health Centers — not-for-profit neighborhood health clinics that provide affordable medical care on a sliding scale.” More than 8,000 (see graphic, left). And yet, Planned Parenthood wants the public to believe that they’re the only place women can get medical care like breast exams, mammogram referrals, and pap smears.
Sometimes facts don’t fit on bumper stickers as well as hysterics do.
- John Smeaton weighs in on Canada’s recent Supreme Court decision ruling that doctors may help their patients commit suicide:
This heart-breaking decision will not only affect our Canadian readers, but will inevitably set an unofficial precedent for courts in the U.S. and elsewhere. Our readers in those countries need to be aware of this decision, in order to be better prepared to oppose this encroaching element of the Culture of Death.
- Saynsumthn’s Blog cross-posts a Life Dynamics report on a Texas pedophile (Roy Wayne Jackson, Jr., pictured right) who was finally sentenced to two life sentences for raping a 12-year-old and years later, raping the teen’s daughter (beginning at age 8). He also took his second victim for an abortion at age 13, which was not reported by the abortion facility as statutory rape, allowing the abuse to continue. Because the abortion industry winks at sex trafficking and statutory rape, pedophiles are given a pass to continue victimizing girls.
- At thirtyone8, Andy Moore lists what he deems the best anti-abortion anthems.
- Wesley J. Smith is understandably alarmed that Robert Latimer, a man convicted of murdering his disabled daughter, has become something of a hero in Canada – and, naturally, the face of the movement supporting euthanasia:
The murder of anyone threatens everyone. Moreover, the vocal support he received revealed an ugly and alarming vein of anti-disability disdain within the Canadian soul.

Birth certificates and the gender-confusion of parents….
Just one more example that reality is bent out of place. And that children are just a commodity — the twisted parents seem to think that the Birth Certificate is like a deed or receipt of ownership.
The Birth Certificate is a matter of public record for the sake of the child. It belongs to the child. The parents have a duty to fill it out fully and accurately, without regard to their own peculiar politics.

If the word “parent” on a child’s birth certificate makes it too hard for Ms. Lahl to figure out who is the child’s parents, the problem does not lie with the state of California.
was finally sentenced to two life sentences for raping a 12-year-old and years later, raping the teen’s daughter (beginning at age 8). He also took his victims for abortions, which were not reported by the abortion facilities, allowing the abuse to continue for years.
The linked article said that the first victim had a son a year into the “relationship,” meaning that the first victim would have been saved years of abuse and the second victim never would have been abused at all if the hospital where the son was born had reported the abuse. Is that left unmentioned because no one here cared enough about the girl to read the whole article, or because the authors of the post believe that rapists should get a pass if a child is born as a result?

LisaC, we aren’t told about the first victim and her son, or even if she gave birth at a hospital.
The original report from the Chronicle also states: “The victim told authorities that Jackson forced her to take birth control pills, but she was careless and became pregnant at 13 and again at 15. Prosecutors say Jackson told the victim she was “too young” to have a baby and took her to have an abortion the first time, but second time the victim did not have an abortion. She told her cousin that she was pregnant and named Jackson as the father, authorities said.”
So she became pregnant a year after, but he took her for an abortion at age 13. It wasn’t until she was 15 that she gave birth – meaning she was potentially 16 by the time the baby was born.
Then the Montgomery County Police Reporter: “Jackson told the victim that she was too young to have his baby and took her to get an abortion.
After aborting the child, Jackson brought the victim back to the doctor to make her take a birth control patch, since the pills failed. However, Jackson got the victim pregnant a second time when she was 15 years old. This time there would be no abortion. The victim told her cousin that Jackson was the father of her baby. The victim’s cousin called Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) to report Jackson.”
To me, this (“back to the doctor”) sounds as if the doctor giving the patch was at the same facility where she got the abortion. It also sounds like the cousin later reported the abuse to the sheriff.

We are told about the first victim and her son, although one does have to read all the way into the second paragraph of the Chronicle story to find out about the son.
Susie and Kelli’s post is inaccurate, incidentally. It says that the man took his “victims for abortions,” plural, although the article says that one victim had one abortion. I look forward to seeing it corrected, as any site with aspirations to journalistic integrity would do.
or even if she gave birth at a hospital.
It seems very unlikely that she did not give birth at a hospital or birthing center. If she did, she was no more than 13 at the time and, as I noted above, she would have been spared years of abuse and her daughter never would have been abused if it had been caught then. I certainly hope that you agree it would be terrible if a pedophile was given a pass to continue victimizing young girls because the hospital industry winks at statutory rape.

LisaC, what I meant was we aren’t given details about the first victim and her son beyond the fact that he was born. We aren’t told anything beyond this, including whether or not she gave birth in a hospital or a birthing center. Plenty of people give birth at home, so I see no reason why this is not a possibility, especially knowing that the pedophile’s mother played a heavy role in the coverup of his crimes, even threatening and exerting control over the victims herself.
We just don’t know.
And as I am anti-pedophilia, yes, I believe it is unfortunate for any pedophile to victimize anyone. It would also be unfortunate for any medical facility to ignore statutory rape, or any rape for that matter. It would be good for us to hear details of the birth of the first victim’s son, because then perhaps charges could be brought against whomever ignored the crime done to her. People need to take statutory rape seriously.
Now that we’ve covered what we DON’T know, what we DO know of the second victim leads us to believe that nothing was done the first time she became pregnant at 13 and was taken to an abortion clinic. It was not reported. In fact, it was not reported even after the abortion when he took her “back to the doctor” (leading us to believe this was the same facility which performed her abortion) to get her on the birth control patch.
As for the victim(s) and abortion(s), I take responsibility as a site editor for this oversight, and I will correct the error.

Less than 2% of births in Texas occur outside hospitals. It’s possible that a 12/13 year old gave birth at home without ever interacting with any medical professional at any time during the pregnancy, but it’s statistically unlikely.

We actually don’t know if she was taken to an abortion clinic. If the statement that she was taken “back to the doctor” was meant to be read literally, then the procedures may have been done in a physician’s office. That would be just as wrong as an abortion clinic not reporting it, but probably of less interest here.

Somehow I don’t think most 13 year olds are subject to repeated rape from the time they’re 8 on up. It’s statistically unlikely. But it happens.
We actually don’t know if she was taken to an abortion clinic.
If the victim was taken to an abortionist’s office, then the abortionist should absolutely be prosecuted. Why would location matter? Even if the abortion were to have taken place in a hospital, the hospital should be held liable for not reporting statutory rape.
Abortion is a dirty business, no matter where it’s done.

You’ll note, I’m sure, since you’re so excellent at parsing words, that this is what was written above, in the post: “He also took his second victim for an abortion at age 13, which was not reported by the abortion facility as statutory rape, allowing the abuse to continue.”
It doesn’t say clinic. It says abortion facility. In other words, the facility where abortions take place. Any place that performs abortions is part of the abortion industry, and I’m sure you’re aware of that.
Also, in Saynsumthn’s blog post, here is the wording: “The abuse was NEVER reported by the doctor or the location where the abortion took place.” Location. Facility. Doctor.
So regardless of where it was done, a crime was committed in not reporting the rape.

People who kill babies probably don’t have much compassion towards children who are raped and abused.
Job security.

That’s correct. You’re the one who said clinic, though I imagine that’s what the authors intended to imply.

Not really. I think that ‘industry’ is a silly word in this context.
So regardless of where it was done, a crime was committed in not reporting the rape.
The place that performed the abortion should have reported it. So should the place that delivered the first victim’s son.
