GOP Leader promises vote redux on 20-week abortion ban; May 7 protest remains scheduled
In a “pen-and-pad sit-down” with reporters today, Republican House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is circling back around for a vote. According to Roll Call:
McCarthy also said he intended to bring up three measures Republicans pulled from the floor earlier this Congress: a bill banning most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, a border security bill that was pulled amid immigration concerns, and a No Child Left Behind rewrite that was put on hold during the Department of Homeland Security funding debacle.
As most know, House Republican leadership pulled the ban from a promised vote on January 22 after supposedly pro-life Republican women complained about the rape/incest reporting requirement.
After two months had passed with no word on a rescheduled vote, I was one of eight pro-lifers who were arrested at Speaker Boehner’s office in a protest on March 25 to draw attention to the bill and the babies it would protect.
The alliance of discontented pro-lifers has grown to 11 organizations now, which are planning another protest on May 7 at Speaker Boehner’s office if the 20-week abortion ban hasn’t been voted on by that date.
To reiterate, unless the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act has been passed in the House by May 7, we will be back.

Unless you vote to ban abortions for a portion of 1% of all abortions, we’re going to get really mad about it!

Ex-RINO, what is 1% of 60 million. Let me know if you can’t figure it out. In the mean time, because you mock the need to potect them, prepare to spend your eternity listening over and over to the screams of that many babies being dismembered. Hopefully you won’t be teaching your your own children that same crass attitude and bringing them along for the ride with you.

I’ll say I did everything I could judicially and legislatively to save as many as I could. You can say that you mocked Jill Stanek when she tried to save six hundred thousand.

In trying to fgure out why Boehner would go along with shelving the vote, I prayed and dug something up that the Tea Party was upset about. They are apparently deeply concerned that he’s crossed the line and is no longer all that conservative. They want him ousted.
I can understanding walking softly and carrying a big stick, but submitting to tyranny is the exact opposite.
Deeply concerned about the vote coming up at the Supreme Court regarding same sex marriage. Here in Virginia, the KOC of Norfolk made the fight personal when they invited Terry Mcaullah to honor their St. Patricks day parade. It was not only sacrilegious and offended many of the Knights, it also sent a message to many area priests that this particular order # will side with Terry when they are carted off, which will happen fairly soon.
It will happen first in Common Wealth States, and it will happen(police state) first in the Commonwealth States as soon as the Supreme Court rules to protect same sex marriage against discrimination this spring.
The Magistrates Law empowers anyone in Virginia to go to the magistrate and make claims against anyone residing in the state. This results in the magistrate issuing a warrant for the arrest of that person on behalf of the people of Virginia. This is the case for all Commonwealth states, though how they serve the court order can vary.
Once this happens, the person accused is mandated to attend a court hearing and face the charges & their accuser. If the charges hold water, another trial date is set.
Some will go along to get along, and preform the state mandated Catholic Homosexual marriage ceremonies in the Catholic Church. For Catholic priests who refuse to violate Catholic teaching and refuse to preside over homosexual marriages, this will soon result in the arrest of these priests upon the very day gay marriage is found permissible and legally protected by the state.
If the supreme court judges in favor of same sex marriage(which it will likely do), this will empower all who maintain it as illegal to discriminate in any way against homosexuality, to enlist the services of the police force protecting the people of Virginia, to arrest and book faithful Catholic Priests.
