“Abortion tutorial” videos popping up in Chile

Abortion may be entirely illegal in Chile, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways.
Shocking mock, do-it-yourself abortion guides have popped up on YouTube as part of a disturbing public ad campaign in support of legalizing abortion in the predominantly Roman Catholic country in cases of rape or medical complications.
In the “abortion tutorial” video series, one woman demonstrates how to fall, stomach first, onto a fire hydrant while walking on a pair of broken stiletto heels. Another woman demonstrates how to get hit by a car.
“Make sure the car hits you head-on, stomach (to) bumper,” she instructs before stepping out in front of a traffic light.

Jill Stanek is a nurse turned speaker, columnist and blogger, a national figure in the effort to protect both preborn and postborn innocent human life.
Wow, that is dangerous. Anyone who would deliberately hurt herself especially in a potentially serious and life compromising manner needs psychiatric care not abortion. The fact that she is pregnant makes no difference; that’s what people would think if she wasn’t pregnant and purposely stepped in front of a car.
Advocating for these deeds makes you culpable especially in cases of death or serious injury. What about about the poor unsuspecting driver? What if other innocent people get hurt in the process?
When are these groups going to stop thinking that abortion is the answer no matter the cost? Why is YouTube opening itself to liability?
What sane pregnant woman wears stiletto heels?
What if her child does not die during the do-it-yourself abortion?
I have always said women seeking abortions should be required to attend counseling comparable to that prescribed for people with suicidal tendencies.
MoJoanne, did you know that some people think the solution to unwanted children in Ireland is to allow parents to sell babies to the wealthy as food? True story. The world is terrible place.

Those who coerce and manipulate women to get an abortion should be required to attend counseling comparable to that prescribed for people with homicidal tendencies.

The writer did say the videos were “mock do-it-yourself.” Still doesn’t seem like such a great idea, although I don’t know if it’s really explicit in the videos that they’re being sarcastic.
