By all accounts – pro-life sidewalk observers and the clinic staff who talk to them – late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart works solo at his Germantown, Maryland, clinic. He has no partners, no back-up.

Carhart aborts a lot of late-term mothers. He delivers a lot of dead babies.

Late-term abortions are much more complicated and risky. Most recently, Jennifer Morbelli died February 7 following the abortion of her 33-week-old daughter Madison at Carhart’s clinic.

Yesterday, another of Carhart’s patients was taken from his clinic by ambulance. This was a late-term patient on the second day of her procedure, according to pro-lifers on the ground, who also saw Carhart get in the ambulance with her…

• America isn’t the only place with shady abortionists. An abortionist in China has been accused of taking a nude photo of a patient and blackmailing her with it.:
  

  … [T]he patient claims that the doctor took pictures of her while she was changing clothes and tried to use the photo as blackmail so that they would pay.

  The hospital later returned the extra money the couple had been charged and issued an apology after police were called to investigate the situation.

Lest we forget, Kermit Gosnell isn’t the only late-term abortionist hack in the news.

There are several others, including Maryland’s LeRoy Carhart, whose patient, Jennifer Morbelli, died February 7, the day after Carhart completed the abortion of her 33-wk-old daughter Madison Leigh and then booked the state.

Ironically, the day before Morbelli died the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued licenses to all 17 abortion clinics in the state without ever having inspected them, even though abortion clinic regulations had been enacted in November 2012.

I’ve joined with Live Action, Operation Rescue, and Students for Life of America to launch a petition driven citizens’ complaint at StopCarhart.com. Signed petitions will be given to the Maryland Board of Physicians.

In July 2012 an abortion-minded mother who was 27 weeks pregnant changed her mind and gave sidewalk counselors praying and offering help outside LeRoy Carhart’s (pictured right) Germantown, Maryland, abortion clinic all the paperwork he had given her.

The paperwork included “Facts about Induction Procedure (22 weeks and up).”

Abortion proponents oppose any attempts by legislatures to ensure abortionists provide informed consent. For instance, Guttmacher Institute thinks the needs of pregnant mothers are too “complex” to address in a written document:

Over 250 people gathered at Germantown Reproductive Health Services abortion clinic in Germantown, Maryland, this morning to demand justice for the death of 29-year-old Jennifer McKenna Morbelli (pictured right), who perished at the hand of late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart on February 7, along with her 33-week-old preborn baby, Madison Leigh.

As protesters gathered outside, Carhart carried on with his abortion business as usual inside.

ABC News and the Washington Post were among news outlets that attended the press conference/prayer vigil.
