• At New Wave Feminists, our latest blog addition, Destiny says that her son, for whom she chose life when she experienced an unplanned pregnancy as a teen, was “the best thing that ever happened” to her. Rather than ruining her life, he made her strong:
  

  Had I aborted him it would’ve been out of nothing but fear and panic. I would be living in bondage and regret to this day. Through bringing him into this world though I became a feminist, an activist, an advocate for women whose shoes I’ve traveled in. And because of that unplanned pregnancy I found out I was stronger than I ever knew I was. In my opinion, that’s what true feminism is all about.

• At National Review, Michael J. New says that despite the media’s attempts to paint the views of Wendy Davis and abortion proponents as mainstream, they aren’t:
  

  The results of the National Journal poll indicate that 50 percent of women support the 20-week abortion ban. Similarly, individuals under 30 supported the ban by a 52-39 margin. Unfortunately, the media typically gives little attention to the demographic breakdown of abortion surveys. After all, they do not want to disrupt their narrative that young people and women support legal abortion.

• Big Blue Wave spots an article from the liberal Toronto Star, which states that the abortion issue is far from settled, thanks in part to “the rebranding of the anti-abortion position as a pro-woman, with-it, modern stance.” Could the largely publicized issue of sex-selective abortion also be playing a role?
