Planned Parenthood down to 666 clinics

Can you say, “Satan”?

Wow, headlines like that only come along once a year.

In this case there was another headline almost as good: “Planned Parenthood now has fewer abortion clinics than the year Roe was decided.”

And a third headline, not so good: “Planned Parenthood now operates over 45% of all U.S. abortion clinics.”

American Life League has just issued its “2014 report on Planned Parenthood facilities in the United States,” with some interesting finds:

If Planned Parenthood collapses, so does the abortion industry, Part 1

Planned Parenthood abortion clinic industry coming collapse?Had Planned Parenthood gone under in 1986, the abortion industry would hardly have noticed. At the time Planned Parenthood was committing only 6.2% of all U.S. abortions.

That was then.

With a total of 342 abortion clinics at last count (174 surgical/168 medical), Planned Parenthood now owns 46% of the remaining 751 abortion clinics in the U.S.

Planned Parenthood’s biggest abortion surge has been in the field of medical (RU-486) abortions. Planned Parenthood operates 90% of all U.S. medical abortion clinics, according to AbortionDocs.org. Here’s a chart from STOPP.org:

NYT writer: 2nd trimester chemical abortions “not happening”

by Kelli One of the tricky parts about medical abortion is that these drugs work all the way through a pregnancy, although they become less effective and the rate of complication rises in the course of pregnancy. So it is not recommended to have a second-trimester medical abortion without the supervision of a doctor. It’s […]

Number of Planned Parenthood clinics down, number committing abortions up

2014-03-22_0506

[In 2013] Planned Parenthood Federation of America closed 48 clinics while opening 13, marking the eighth straight year of facility decline. PP is now reporting a total of 695 clinics, which is the lowest number of facilities reported since 1973.

Fifteen states have fewer Planned Parenthood facilities than reported last year, while only three have increased from last year’s totals….

Failed chemical abortion gives baby girl second chance at life

We thought she had gone. I had grieved for that baby and we’d just managed to get our heads around it. Anthony and I felt like we’d made the right decision because we were having problems and we didn’t think it was right to bring a baby into that. I’d always been one of those […]

Kudos to 6ABC.com for breaking this story, which reported the Delaware Department of Health and the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline are now investigating.

Two former PP employees, both nurses, are blowing the whistle. Kudos to them as well:
