  • Kansans for Life calls out the media for biased reporting on the cost of defending pro-life laws in Kansas – with headlines like “$1.2 million paid in attorney fees to defend anti-abortion laws.” Maybe if the abortion lobby didn’t continue bringing the lawsuits, the state – which is continually winning, by the way – wouldn’t have to pay any attorney fees. Problem solved, eh?

  • Big Blue Wave points out the reluctance of those on the pro-abortion side of the aisle to state whether or not the human fetus at 20 weeks is, in fact, a human being. First, Nancy Pelosi dodged the question, and then Democrat Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland (where late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart kills viable children for a living), claimed that whether or not a 20-week preborn child is human “is not a real issue.”

Aborted babies incinerated to heat UK hospitals

by Kelli The bodies of thousands of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste, with some even used to heat hospitals, an investigation has found. Ten NHS trusts have admitted burning foetal remains alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in “waste-to-energy” plants which generate power for heat…. At least 15,500 […]

  • Wesley J. Smith adeptly points out that a “die-and-get-out-of-the-way” rationing campaign has already begun in the U.S.

Liberal New York Times writer Bill Keller recently demeaned popular blogger Linda Bonchek Adams and her fight against cancer. Keller’s advice? Stop trying to give “false hope” to people and enter hospice already. Smith says everyone should be appalled by this attitude:

Here is what I believe is going on behind the curtains: There is a great effort underway at the highest level of the ruling and intellectual classes to devalue the struggle to stay alive. Part of it is utilitarian ideology – the idea that society can define a life not worth living. Indeed, we have seen open advocacy in bioethics for a “duty to die.”

Has UK vasectomy decline led to more abortions for older women?

Men are turning their backs on “the snip” as a form of contraception, according to the latest figures. The number of vasectomies has dropped by more than half in ten years, while abortions among older women have risen, say experts. They claim men could be concerned about having a permanent form of contraception when the […]

  • At National Review, Michael New remarks on President Obama’s frequent mentions of Planned Parenthood during the second Presidential debate, stating, “The fact that federal funding for Planned Parenthood is now a salient issue during Presidential debates is good evidence of pro-life progress.”

  • Our newest addition to Top Blogs, Voice of Hope, notes the unfortunate editing of the televised premiere of October Baby, in which a pivotal scene was omitted (spoiler alert at link).

GMC has since apologizedand plans to run the movie in its entirety in the future.
