Pro-life news brief 1-28-13

  • New York Times editorial writer Juliet Lapidos seems to favor a rapist’s right to choose. She believes somehow legislative language – which is clearly designed to punish rapists who coerce their victims into abortion – will ban abortion in cases of rape. I’m not sure if she is willfully ignoring the section of the legislation which reads “with the intent to destroy evidence of the crime” or if in her attempt to parrot pro-abortion blogs, she never actually read the text carefully.

Being pro-choice: The “essence of misogyny”

… [I]t is not feminism to support abortion…. [T]o argue that women are unequal without the “right” to abortion is to believe that pregnancy is something that makes women less-than. But pregnancy is something that is both uniquely female and literally as natural as breathing. To believe that abortion is necessary for women’s equality is […]

FLOTUS Karen Santorum’s cause: The sanctity of human life?

In their roles as First Lady, Rosalynn Carter spotlighted mental illness as her cause du jour, Nancy Reagan picked “Just Say No” to drugs, Laura Bush promoted childhood literacy, and Michelle Obama is battling childhood obesity. I’ve mused now and then how wild and wonderful it would be for a First Lady to use her […]

Abortion advocates “caught flat-footed…. We were expecting a bad year, but not this bad”

In a lovely feature story about Americans United for Life’s CEO Charmaine Yoest, the Christian Science Monitor on August 13 also included some gems of encouragement for pro-lifers… So far this year, AUL and other like-minded groups have caught their adversaries flat-footed; some 22 states have enacted a record 86 new measures in 2011…. Just […]

Pro-abortion feminists defend Bachmann

Let’s be clear. The only – I repeat, ONLY – reason liberals vilify female politicians like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann is because they are pro-life.  Were Palin and Bachmann the conservatives they are except pro-abortion, they’d be tolerated, if not embraced. Nevertheless, I was very disappointed that even liberal feminists piled on Palin in […]

America needs pro-life feminism

Liberal feminism, with its addiction to abortion and its bullying of men, was never what American women and men – and certainly the American family – needed. Despite some of the best of its intentions, it was mixed up in eugenics and disloyal to the legacy of the suffragette movement, a failed experiment in remaking […]

(Prolifer)ations 9-3-10

by Susie Allen, host of the blog, Pro-Life in TN Pro-Life with Christ highlights the miraculous story of a 27-week-old baby boy declared dead at birth, only to be revived during skin-to-skin contact with his mother. There appears to be some negligence on the doctor’s part.

Tuesday’s primary election results made it a banner day for pro-life female candidates.
