Delighting in death

Why is it that the people most vocally committed to causes connected to death (abortion, assisted suicide, euthanasia) are often the same who are committed to progressive sexual causes? And why do abortion advocates frequently see it not as a necessary evil but as a positive good?… Make no mistake: The giddy, grinning delight which […]

Happy Mother’s Day!

Here were my top five favorite cartoons this week, beginning with a bittersweet Mother’s Day tribute to one of the Cleveland hostages’ moms, who passed away before knowing her daughter was alive. But Amanda Berry is indeed alive and now has her own daughter, Jocelyn, the clearly much loved child of her rapist. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite cartoon in the poll at the bottom of this post.

I haven’t been this offended by a liberal cartoon in a long time. But Steve Benson at GoComics.com has disgusted me, managing to tie abortion, contraceptive coverage(?!), and “no respect for rape victims” to a horrific story where one of three kidnap victims was beaten and starved until she miscarried five times. She certainly was given no “choice.” It is for this reason her captor may get the death penalty. But to abortion proponents, no story is unrelated to their sick blood lust…

  • Ethika Politika displays some of the disrespectful, vile comments that came from social media following Timothy Cardinal Dolan’s closing prayer at the Democratic National Convention last week. Who knew there were so many creative ways to use the “F” word?

Democrat, feminist hypocrisy on legitimate rape-rape

Democrats and feminists have mounted a sustained attack against Missouri U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin for using the term “legitimate” rape, feigning horror at the implication there might be such a thing as “illegitimate” rape.

One liberal of distinction notably missing from the conversation is Whoopi Goldberg, who in 2009 defended director Roman Polanski by claiming his rape of a 13-yr-old in 1977 “wasn’t rape-rape,” she said. ” I think it was something else, but I don’t believe it was rape-rape.”

The conveniently ignored reality today is that just as men can victimize women by rape, women can victimize men by falsely accusing them of rape. It’s as old as the book of Genesis

Did Obama administration discriminate against Catholic group by denying trafficking grant?

What the mainstream media isn’t telling you about yesterday’s hearing   The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, chaired by Congressman Darrell Issa, held a hearing yesterday to investigate whether the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services discriminated against the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops when denying it a grant in October to aid […]
