Pro-life video of the day: Contraception question stumps Obama fans
by LauraLoo
Revealing Politics decided to play along with our President’s distraction from the economy. They sent their resident “expert on female issues,” Caleb Bonham, to interview attendees of the Obama/Fluke campaign event.

Yeah, saw this yesterday, accurately describes what most of my liberal friends think: “well, um…because I want it?”
Pro-choice people (and liberals in general) love to accuse conservatives of being ‘obessed’ with other people’s sex lives. Um, no, I’m not remotely interested in what someone does behind closed doors…until they shove it in my face and demand that I pay attention to it by: funding it, approving of it, forcing my kids to learn about it, etc. If they don’t want other people in ‘their business’, stop making it mine!
“Umm..I’m,like..all for birth control. I’m,like all for abortion..”
“Birth control solves poverty”.
Wow…
If “ignorance is bliss”, these must be some of the happiest people on the planet!
Like you hit the nail, like on the head Pamela.
Like good job!!
Like, Democrat female senators didn’t denounce Bill Maher’s referring to conservative women by some of the most vile names imaginagle. Like Maher contributed to Obama. Like Rush at least apologized, like Maher has refused to. Like I’m sure Obama will come out in support of these women any day now like he did Fluke.
Like here is the video. Like warning: Offensive language

Jespren, AMEN!! I get so frustrated at those (including some Conservatives) who try to pry into the business of other people’s personal lives. Though liberals are the chief offenders when they force radical, graphic sex-ed in schools, demand the public foot the bill for their reproductive choices and consequences for those choices (free STD treatment, anyone? Abortions?), etc., I don’t want to hear about it. I don’t want to pay for it out of my own paycheck.
It frustrates me so much to see people like this who have this lazy mentality that they want the government to hand them everything on a silver platter simply because they want it. “Like, well, I like totally want free birth control. waahhh.”
WELL DUH!! Who wouldn’t want free stuff? What, did these people grow up with everything handed to them? Haven’t they ever heard of responsibility, hard work, and earning what you get? How fair would it be of me to demand that they buy my gym memberships and deluxe health foods? Hmmm? Cause that’s healthcare, right?
And I’ll bet if they saw the taxes for my gym membership and deluxe health foods come out of their paychecks, they won’t be so happy about subsidizing other people’s habits, now will they?
Sorry, but if you want me to stay out of your bedroom, keep your bedroom habits out of my bank account, mkay? If they weren’t whining for MY money to subsidize THEIR sex habits, I wouldn’t even want to know what they’re doing. I don’t ask them to buy my lingerie and such, now do I (that stuff really can ad up, you know)? Nope, I sure don’t. So let’s keep our private business private and subsidized by our own money, alright?
Overall, it just seems these people don’t understand the value of a hard-earned dollar. Have they EVER looked at their paycheck and seen just how much money is taken out of it in taxes and asked themselves where that’s going? It’s painful when I get paid to see just how much of my hard-earned money I don’t actually get to keep. And they want to take MORE to finance their nookie. And they can’t even give me a good reason why they are demanding this absurdity. No, thank you.
Sorry about the rant – this just gets my blood boiling. ;)
How fair would it be of me to demand that they buy my gym memberships and deluxe health foods? Hmmm? Cause that’s healthcare, right?
Those are much closer to healthcare than contraception. Working out at the gym and health foods fit the bill of “preventative healthcare.” Contraception just breaks a perfectly working bodily system by injecting it with Group I carcinogens, all in the name of preventing the “disease” of pregnancy (i.e. biology fulfilling its ultimate end).
Has everyone taken their free asbestos pills today? Good.
Andrew, exactly my point. ;) I don’t even demand that the government pay for “luxuries” that would actually amount to healthcare. If I had the money/time to eat the way I wanted (all organic, grass-fed, free-range, etc.) and join the gyms I wanted, I’d be extremely healthy – talk about preventative health care!! But do I demand these people pay for it from their paychecks? NOPE!
But these people want me to fund something that will probably cause more health problems. Not that all contraception is bad, per se, and not that it’s affect on everyone is the same, but it certainly does not prevent disease. Maybe it’s preventing a state of being that women don’t want to be in, but pregnancy is not and never has been a disease. Hello? Female bodies were designed to carry babies.
If I wore a hat, I’d tip it to xalisae as well. She pointed this video out just a couple of hours before Jill. I guess great minds really do think alike!
But also delightfully differently! ;)

I am an ex-smoker. I think my cigs should have been covered under healthcare. I think they prolonged my life.
When I would quit for a day or two, I would get a little cranky and stand up to my abusive ex-spouse. He’d tell me, “You need to relax. If you don’t have a cigarette, I’m gonna f*cking kill you.”
You can’t make this stuff up.
That OK LibertyBelle. I feel the same way. It is a well-deserved rant.
I teach young people “You don’t owe ANYBODY sex, (no matter what they say or do or buy you)” .Make sure teens and children get this message because sexual predators lure, groom and recruit with that line. You’d be surprized how many kids don’t know this.
Back to the topic on the video, I don’t owe anybody my hard-earned dollars to pay for what they do in their bedroom whether it is their contraceptives or their abortions. Since they are choosing to have sex, they should pay for it.
Prolifer L, :) Thanks.
Yes indeed! And yeah, I actually can believe how many kids don’t know that. (I say this tongue in cheek – I’m the same age as many of these ‘kids’). No, you don’t need sex to survive. And no, you don’t owe it to anybody to give them that very intimate part of you.
Which logically leads to the conclusion that because it’s not a life-or-death need, the taxpayers should not pay for it!
Maybe the mentality that people think they somehow deserve sex (though I do believe everyone deserves to be loved, sex is entirely different), they deserve to have “free” birth control to prevent the inevitable consequences of said actions?
Liberal, entitlement mentality: It’ll make your head spin and your logic die.
If we asked these individuals to sit down and reason together, we’d undoubtedly be having a one-sided conversation.
Thank you, Hans! You’re a sweetheart. <3
So much for an education in the USA!!!
It’s scary that those women’s votes count as much as mine.
yikes X infinity.
It was a perfectly good rant LibertyBelle. :)
Unfortunately ‘kids’ today (a lot of whom are still ‘kids’ by any meaningful definition at 25 or even 35) have been brainwashed by years of graphic sex-education that mentions abstinence only as a byline that is impossible to obtain that sex IS a ‘biological imparative’ that they MUST have in order to live. As important to their life as a cast to a broken bone, pain medicine after a surgery, or that ER run when someone imbibed a fifth of whiskey in 30 minutes. They have been told since before puberty that *everyone* has sex and it is impossible to abstain and anyone who tries will only be utterly miserable, unnatural, and socially stunted until they give up and break down and end up having sex ‘unsafely’ because they didn’t plan for the eventual *necessity* of sex. That’s why they have such an entitlement mentality towards birth control as a necessary ‘health care’, because they bought the lie they have been fed that expecting someone to forgo their sexual impulses is tantamount to cruel and unusual torture. But since they *also* bought the lie that you shouldn’t get married until *at least* 25 and probably shouldn’t have kids until 30 or 35, birth control becomes as necessary for their ‘well being’ as insulin to a diabetic or nitro to a heart patient.
Well, maybe this interviewer got these people to THINK a bit! Good job.

this is kind of off topic but I thought of you when I read this article. Remember the big stink you made about Rush Limbaugh losing sponsors when he called that woman a whore for demanding that other people buy her contraceptives for her.
Then, you linked to this Fox “News” article concerning Limbaugh.
http://nation.foxnews.com/rush-limbaugh/2012/08/03/carbonite-ceo-admits-dropping-rush-limbaugh-has-hurt-his-business
The title of the Fox “News” article is “Carbonite CEO Admits Dropping Rush Limbaugh Has Hurt His Business.”
They lied.
They lied because, even though he said that, they did not report this:
“Carbonite CEO: Limbaugh Ad Pullout Hurt Company, But ‘Things Would Have Been Worse Had We Not Done That'”

Are you familiar with the term “media whores?”
Jill Stanek blogpage:
“Show them abortion!” How is it not a hypocrisy that the liberal “Follywoods” run a commercial showing maimed and tortured animals and ask for $ to save them yet these same people donate millions to fund the, in my opinion, anti-life/anti-women, President Obama agenda? When pro-life warriors even attempt to show the realities of abortion’s effect on preborn human babies, they are silenced and fined? Why is it that in Florida, you will get fined and jailed $500 per turtle egg that you take or destroy! But, to murder a child, you get taxpayer subsidies as long as the child hasn’t ’popped out’ yet, plus dangerous contraception meds to take with you so it doesn’t ‘happen’ again. “Planned Parenthood doles out cheap condoms and contraception pills that are bound to fail so that the girls/women will come back and put up hundreds to abort their child.” (Ex abortion clinic owner, BloodMoneyFilm.com) Read about the agenda of Margaret Sanger, foundress of Planned Parenthood. Also, “Grand Illusions: The Legacy of Planned Parenthood” by George Grant. Unbelievable diversion tactics used with our taxpayers’ monies/subsidies and without our permission.
They charge a gov’t paid customer more for same exact ‘service’ than they do cash paying clients. (Grand Illusions…p.144) Please watch and share the following video too. The documentary is popular because it is just 33 minutes in length and it shows the conversations Comfort, a pastor, had with people who admit they are now looking at abortion in a new light after discussing the issue with him. www180moviecom
Why? Because if you have insurance, you pay for it, either by virtue of your labor or out of your own pocket, or, depending on the situation, both. And under the ACA, it is now mandated that your insurance plan cover certain benefits without a co-pay. This does not make them “free.” It means that you are paying for that service as part of your premium. You earned it, you paid for it, it is yours. If you pay for it, you deserve to get it.
I fully support expanding government-funded programs to ensure that all women — those living in poverty, low-income women, and the working poor — have access to birth control and other preventive health services, because it makes sense in terms of public health and the economy, and because such access is a basic human right. But people who earn their insurance coverage pay for it, and they deserve the benefit for which they are paying. Moreover, even those who are eligible for government-subsidized access to care — whether reproductive health care or other kinds of care — also are paying at least a share of those costs through their tax contributions. No one is really getting anything here “for free.”
@LucyL: RE:”Why? Because if you have insurance, you pay for it…”
If a woman has gov’t funded insurance, every taxpayer pays for an abortion. Abortion is elective surgery. YOU elect it, then YOU pay for it. I do not believe that a mother has the right to murder her unborn child for ANY reason, nevermind, MY tax dollars paying for it.
RE: “You earned it, you paid for it, it is yours. If you pay for it, you deserve to get it.”
This is the typical ‘entitlement’ mentality that besiege many mis-informed women. No Christian Foundation should be forced to offer ANY item/s to their employees that is a direct assault on the Magisterium of their faith. Change jobs; save lives! Nobody ever “earns nor deserves” the right to murder their child who is a living human being until its brain stem is severed by an abortionist steel tool. What about the “Right to Life’ for each child? Do anyone really believe that it ‘majically’ becomes a human being only after it exits the womb?!
Hello!! Pregnancy is NOT a disease from which a woman should be eradicated despite what the ‘nip & tuck’ society says on any given day! Pray for our world.
Do anyone really believe that it ‘majically’ becomes a human being only after it exits the womb?!
Some of them really do, 2hearts4life.

“Carbonite CEO: Limbaugh Ad Pulled Hurt Company, But Things Would Have Been Much Worse If We Had Not Done That.”
LOL. mp, that’s what people say when they know their strategy has failed to produce the wanted results.
Its like the police chief of a crime ridden community telling the residents that even though they can’t safely walk the streets and must live behind triple locked doors, things would be so much worse if he was not the chief of police.
No mp, Fox didn’t lie. It did hurt Carbonite’s business, right?
Fox failed to tell the whole truth, which means they lied.
They lied, as per usual.
mp,
Get over it already. Carbonite’s business was hurt, they admit it and Fox reported it. As to how much worse it would have been if they hadn’t pulled their ads is at best, speculation.
More lies.

LOL
Hello folks!
I would like to introduce myself by saying that I am a practicing Roman Catholic and I am 100% for natural family planning and pro-life from conception until natural death. So I agree that we who do not support contraception and abortion should not be forced to pay for it in taxes. But one thing concerns me, however.
I would like to know what would need to be done if a female requires taking contraception purely for the purpose of treating health problems like extremely painful menstruations, etc., while her intention was not contraception. I am fully aware that there are many alternative treatments for those medical conditions, but sometimes none of them fit the female’s needs and her problems continue. Or in many other cases, she is from a disadvantaged background and has no access to the alternative treatments and contraception pills are her only option (or the pill actually helps her with her medical condition).
I understand the double effect, which means that there is an action done that has a good result and a bad result. The Church teaches that while we might make an action/treatment/etc that has a good effect and a bad one, the action/treatment/etc. is done purely for the good result and allows the bad result to happen (to allow is not the same thing as intention). Some cases include having a hysterectomy to save a woman’s life while accepting the death of her child as a result of saving her life (therefore it was not an abortion because the death of the child was never the intention of the doctors) because otherwise, both individuals would have died (please correct me on the double effect if I didn’t explain it good enough) and we must still be accountable of protecting the woman if the child cannot be helped (like in an ectopic pregnancy). When it comes to contraception, the woman would need to take her medication (which is contraception pills in this case) and accept the result of not getting pregnant and/or her body expelling a conceived baby which did not implant into her uterus.
So my concern is that if this is the reason why a woman requires to take contraception pills keeping in mind that she always intended to be open to life, what can she do? Can she still get the treatment she needs if she cannot afford it? Can the government make a solution possible for women in these circumstances while keeping loyal to not paying for contraception for the use of contraception?
The immediate answer to some people would be that this can be an exception and we can allow ourselves to pay for something like this. But we need to remind ourselves that some people are good at lying about their condition and cheat themselves through the screening process to get access to the contraception.
I am completely against paying for contraception given that the intention is to contracept/abort, but what solution can we come to in order to help those who need those pills to help them with their medical conditions? Of course, there’s the effects that contraception pills cause abortions/cancer/tumors/blood clots/etc., but even then under the double effect it would be acceptable to take them considering the person’s medical condition can get much worse much faster. There’s so many technicalities involved that the government might not acknowledge our position as it would promise to do. And if contraception pills are the only solution to some women’s medical conditions, can we be able to come to an agreement with legislation without getting the taxpayer funded contraception crowd to go crazy?
Fellow Christians, please tell me what your hearts and minds are telling you when it comes to this issue. Thank you for your time.
mp,
No, FOX did not lie.
Reporting that Carbonite admitted that withdrawing their ad from Rush Limbaugh’s program. FOX reported it. That is a fact.
Your malicious, vindictive, obserssive response is aburd. You clearly drink the Kool Aid, to to speak, in repeating that cannard, “FOX Lies,” perpetrated by the hate filled, venemous, racist, Socialist, Fascist left.
They, and you, hate FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, et al, because the Left only want their leftist propaganda perpetuated unfiltered, without resistance or opposition.
Lizzy, many doctors just grab their prescription pad when a problem arises and often do not continue to try and find out WHAT CAUSES THE PROBLEM.
Our issue isn’t so much that women “need” to take doses of hormones, but the issue is that doctors should do a better job. I have a chronic disease for which there is no known cure nor a known cause of onset. Yet, I have been offered a plethora of prescriptions that address ONLY MY SYMPTOMS. Many of these meds have terrible side effects, and often the doctors would try to underplay my concerns. It was a long journey finding health care providers who viewed my entire health/body instead of pushing me out the door with a bottle of pills that would harm the rest of my body. That’s the real issue, I think. If you have terrible menstrual problems, search for a better doctor and not one who takes the short cut and moves on to the next patient. Women deserve access to better health care, not abortion and artificial birth control and contraception. NFP works even for women who have irregular periods.
Jespren,
A hearty amen to you! Especially your last comment about how everyone is told that sex is a need RIGHT NOW but that they can’t get married till they’re at least 25. When I got married at 21, people thought I was absolutely crazy. And the Christians can be the worst offenders because they tell you to not have sex AND wait till you’re 25.
Ninek, I agree. There’s a lot of issues surrounding BC and a huge problem is the way health care is handled (and it’s only going to get worse thanks to Obama). A friend of mine asked me what I thought of bc because she thought she might need to go on it for irregular periods. Honey, that’s only going to cause more problems than it’ll solve.
And so many medicines have atrocious side effects. Then we’re given more drugs to deal with the side effects and drugs to deal with THOSE side effects all while only treating symptoms of the real problem … It’s like we’re a bunch of walking pharmacies! lol
