Pro-life news brief 12-13-13

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat

  • Indiana/Illinois abortionist Ulrich Klopfer will lose his “Physician Designee” in Fort Wayne after failing to quickly report statutory rape and for admitting he encourages victims of statutory rape to go to other states. This means Klopfer may not be able to legally perform abortions in Fort Wayne in the new year:

The Allen County Patient Safety Ordinance requires that doctors who practice but don’t live in the county to have a relationship with a local doctor who can legally practice in Allen County. State law requires abortion doctors to have local admitting privileges or have entered into an agreement with a physician who has admitting privileges at a hospital in case of an emergency.

Dr. Geoffrey Cly, OB/GYN, notified Dr. Ulrich Klopfer in a letter dated December 12 that he will no longer serve as the “back-up” physician for Klopfer effective December 31, 2013.

Big thanks to RH Reality Check for posting the article in which Klopfer admits he encourages victims of statutory rape to go out of state.

  • ProWomanProLife showcases an article about the death of a young woman who used the NuvaRing contraceptive. Her lawyer now fights for justice against the manufacturer, which touts its product as being easy — but buried in the fine print of thousands of pages sent to the FDA are the results of 500 studies which included blood clots and death.

Pro-life vid of day: Paul Walker’s last film has pro-life message

by LauraLoo As reported by LifeNews: In one of his last films, which as not yet been released, [the late] Paul Walker played the husband of a woman who unexpectedly dies in childbirth.  In the film, his character’s daughter, born five weeks early, is hooked up to a ventilator which is her only chance of […]

Dr. James Dobson sues over HHS contraception mandate

by Carder As Americans, we should all be free to live according to our faith and to honor God in our work…. The Constitution protects that freedom so that the government cannot force anyone to act against his or her sincerely held religious beliefs. But the mandate ignores that and leaves us with a choice […]

Pro-life video of the day: “Mom Baby God” – a satire of pro-lifers

by Hans Johnson

MOMBABYGOD_0The one-woman play “Mom Baby God,” written and performed by Madeline Burrows, is touted to be a “shocking look” at the pro-life movement based on her experiences observing conferences, fundraisers, and rallies. Audience members are given name tags as if they were attending a conference, and seven different characters parody speakers on topics such as abstinence-only education.

During a Q & A after one performance, Burrows said of pro-lifers: “One thing that really struck me was, they are really well-organized, really vocal, and really unapologetic.”

Charles Krauthammer: Young people permissive, but not on abortion

by Kelli Bill O’Reilly: But it’s a more permissive culture, you know… unfettered abortion, OK, for any reason, up until the birth process. There’s a struggle. And the struggle is between, usually, people of faith and the secular progressives. And the secular progressives have the media in their pocket, so they’re powerful. Charles Krauthammer: Look… […]

Pro-life vid of the day: Prostitutes sing Obamacare’s praises

by LauraLoo According to a report in USA Today, legal prostitutes who have a difficult time finding health coverage will have options starting in January to which they would otherwise never have had access.  The legal prostitutes at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Nevada attest to this fact and agree that Obamacare is their medical […]

New Planned Parenthood business model: Roving iPad abortion scheduler

2013-12-11_1047Last week Planned Parenthood of Arizona announced it was closing its Yuma clinic, located in the southwest corner of the state, near both the California and Mexico borders.

Not to worry, PPAZ plans to hire a roving reproductive needs administrator to schedule abortions via iPad.

PP’s Yuma facility had committed medical abortions until 2011, when a new law went into effect mandating that only physicians could dispense mifepristone (ie., RU-486), not nurses or medical assistants.

Apparently the clinic could not sustain itself without the financial help of kill pills. PPAZ CEO Bryan Howard said it was down to 200 patients a year.

But Planned Parenthood is not abandoning Yuma. It is taking applications for a “regional health coordinator” who will “provide information and referrals to difficult-to-access sexual health care, foster community partnerships, engage volunteers and activists, give presentations and promote inclusion of sexual education in local school districts,” according to YumaSun.com. More on those “difficult-to-access” referrals:
