Pro-life video of the day: What are they looking at?
by Hans Johnson
Like these people at the 2013 March For Life, we should all be upset by what was on the jumbo tv provided by Created Equal. But until the madness stops, we must not look away.

As a respect for life leader at my school I have spoken to dozens of people and even shown these images. I think that the reality of abortion needs to be seen but I don’t know if this is the right way to do it. We all believe that these are innocent children, so don’t we owe them a little respect
? Why is it ok to show the images of their bodies on a jumbotron? Would that be ok to show graphic images of any other act of violence on a giant screen? These are children and they were brutally killed, I don’t think showing a baby’s mangled and distorted body on a public screen is right. Even though they were wrongly killed, I think we should treat them with dignity and respect (isn’t that what we are fighting for?)
Show it, keep showing it until it stops, then show it so it never happens again.
We show them. We show the brutality of abortion.
We are fighting to end the brutality.
I am brokenhearted over the babies.
Right, Katharine. Just like they did with images of the Holacost in WWll. The carnage is the same.
Kelsey: If you were one of those aborted babies wouldn’t you want people to see what abortion did to you so that people would know the TRUTH about abortion ????? The babies can’t speak for themselves, so the photo’s HAVE TO.
As Fr. Pavonne says, “America will not reject abortion until it SEES it”.
Kelsey,
There are quite a few memorials for the children that have died in abortion. There are caskets and flowers and dignity and respect. There are monuments and beautiful services for these precious little ones.
We do not forget ANY of them that lost their lives to abortion.
Hello Mike
I agree I would want people to know and I would want them to stop abortion. I don’t disagree with the use of graphic images in all circumstances, just this one. I think we should treat them with respect, and I don’t think the jumbo tron accomplishes this. I think that graphic images are best used after talking to a person. I tell the person the facts about abortion, why it is wrong, etc. then I ask if they want to see the picture. I know that I cant reach as many people with this method as Created Equal can, but that kid leaves me KNOWING what abortion is and WHY it is wrong and can go tell others.
(I hope Don’t come off as really confrontational or angry, It is not my intention. )
I know that I cant reach as many people with this method as Created Equal can, but that kid leaves me KNOWING what abortion is and WHY it is wrong and can go tell others.
Whether you show the picture to someone or they see it on the jumbo tron, they walk away KNOWING what abortion is and WHY it is wrong and can go tell others. We need to reach as many people as possible to save as many lives as possible. It’s a number game.
What Prax. said. A numbers game for sure, and the numbers keep growing and growing. 55 million and counting since Roe.
The jumbotron was a “seize the moment” situation that enabled a huge # of people to see the images all at once…much like how a new hit movie gets shown at numerous venues nation wide.
The Devil likes to keep the murders of these unborn children in the dark. Thank you Created Equal for dispelling the Devil from operating at the March for Life.
Kelsey, if you give a person the option of not looking at what abortion truly is, which is it do you think they’d choose? Most will use any excuse to not look at the reality of abortion, even if they’re abortion minded. Anything to remain in the dark because, for the most part, words are just words but a picture is worth 1000.
I contend that images are used to persuade people away from specific behaviors. I’m quite certain many people recall the horrible driver’s ed videos that were shown to teens to show them to not drive while distracted, don’t text and drive, don’t drink and drive, etc. There was a video not too long ago that showed some truly horrible scenarios that involved driving, and that video was shown to teens in driver’s ed courses. Why? To help slam it into their heads the importance of responsible driving. Same goes for drugs, especially those horrible before and after usage photos.
Sometimes the hand holding and coddling of an abortion minded person just doesn’t cut it. And I thank this group for showing these images at the March for Life. While it seems to be “preaching to the choir”, there are some people in that crowd that are nominally pro-life, on the fence, or even pro-aborts thinking they’re “walking amongst the enemy” and if they see these images, then maybe, just maybe, they’ll get a clue. For the rest of us that are solidly pro-life, it renews the fight in many of us to keep us going, to remind us EXACTLY what we’re up against.
The devil takes no prisoners and doesn’t care about feelings.
