Breaking news: Pro-lifers unfurl world’s largest sign at DNC
UPDATE, 12:15p: Here’s coverage by Fox News CO:
_______________
UPDATE, 11:45a: ARTL organizers have negotiated with police to keep the sign up until 12:pm
_______________
UPDATE, 10:10a: Reports are that traffic on I-70 has slowed 10 miles from the protest sign as drivers come into its view.
_______________
UPDATE, 10a: Police have just allowed water to be brought in to the hikers.
_______________
UPDATE, 9:45a: Have received a call from Steve Curtis, president of ARTL.
Jefferson Co. police are now stopping people at the nearby staging area from bringing replenishment water to the hikers, who each carried a 50# backback 1/2 mile up a steep grade to the site.
_______________
With a Fox News helicopter overhead and police at bay below, pro-lifers are more than halfway toward their official Guinness Book of World Records attempt to display the largest ever protest sign.
The display is on a grassy knoll on public property on a Denver mountain overlooking the Democrat National Convention.
Sponsored by American Right to Life Action, the message initially appeared with 3 enormous 160-foot tall, bright yellow letters, D-N-C, stacked on top of each other.
After those letters is coming the actual full message of the sign with letters completing the text:
Destroys
uNborn
Children
Guinness assigned ARTL official world record attempt number 228132. The protest sign weighs more than 2,700 pounds and was sewed together with more than 4 miles of seams connecting 2,400 twin sheets.
It was backpacked onto location early this morning that is inaccessible by car. It is in the process of being unfurled by 44 letter carriers with spotters a mile away to ensure proper letter placement. It will ultimately stretch 530 feet tall and 666 feet wide.
The sign will be legible from at least 5 miles. A scientist who works with satellite imagery helped determine the size of the sign and size of letters and location. To give you an idea how big those letters are, one letter takes up the space of a junior high school gym.
ARTL has commited to removing the DNC Sheets Of Shame and leaving the area cleaner than it had been.
“The tiniest boys and girls should be loved and protected,” said ARTL president Steve Curtis in a press statement. “But as nominating Barak Obama emphasizes, the DNC even supports killing kids in the womb old enough to know their mother’s voice, sleep and dream, suck their thumbs, and play with their toes.”

Wow!!
Major miracle! :D
What are the sheets of shame? I googled it but mostly pulled up sites talking about how sheets were needed for top-secret purposes.
Are you going to grow up, Jill and stop epithetically calling it the “Democrat Convention?” You are exhibiting the maturity of a schoolgirl, sticking out her tongue. For the third time, it is the Democratic Convention.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democrat_Party_(phrase)
That is amazing! God Bless them! Would be nice if it was on the news. I will watch to see if anyone covers it.
This is really clever (for a protest sign). I hope they make it into the book of world records.
Ray, maybe I am missing something, but why is that insulting?
Ray:
OK does DNC mean Democratic National Committee or Democratic National Convention?
You mean the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic National Convention have nothing to do with putting forth a genocidal platform or nominating genocidal candidates? Wow, I am relieved. So that big sign is incorrect, right? Democrats don’t kill children, abortionists do?
And are not all those pro-aborts at the DNC, Democrats and are not all the members in the DNC, Democrats? So why can’t you say that Democrats, be they IN the Democratic National Cmmittee or AT the Democratic National Convention kill unborn children? Why do you have a problem calling them what they are and what they do? Got a problem with that? Is that a Liberal thing or what?
Why can’t you just say it. “Democrats are for the killing of unborn children in the womb”…..go ahead…..say it…it’s OK…..
It’s difficult isn’t it?
They why in the heck are you a freaking Democrat?
What did they use to make that big “protest sign” with any ways?
“The protest sign weighs more than 2,700 pounds and was sewed together with more than 4 miles of seams connecting 2,400 twin sheets.”
:-) How are you this morning, Midnite? :)
Bethany, it’s mostly insulting because it’s a childish sort of “he’s only doing it because he knows it bothers you” sort of thing. That is to say, the reasons that it is incorrect are less important than the fact that said reasons have been pointed out and ignored.
It’s mostly considered grammatically incorrect. While it is possible for a noun to modify a noun, it’s not the norm, and it isn’t best in this situation. Sort of the difference between saying “the first woman candidate” and “the first female candidate.” It sounds kind of stupid.
On a less concrete level, using Democrat rather than Democratic rhetorically makes it about the individual person rather than the ideals of the Democratic party. It’s just a slight difference in implication. Think of “the child table” rather than “the children’s table.” The latter is something that belongs to the children and is of the children, kind of — if there were an ideological set of principles that were involved in sitting at the children’s table, it would kind of reference those principles; the former sounds absurd to say and also makes the table seem like someplace that the children are relegated to. The child table is the table where the child sits, nothing more.
But again, all of the actual reasons it’s incorrect are quite petty. Neither of these two points is as important as the fact that the phrase is repeated despite the fact that many people on both sides have said that it’s bad form to continually refer to a party by something other than their name, especially once people have requested that you stop. It’s mostly just really stupid.
Also, Bethany, it’s kind of like calling someone by the wrong name even when you know it’s not their name. Nothing got my hackles up like the time that a math teacher I hated (and the feeling was mutual) — after six months of school — continually referred to me as Allison when he met with my parents. He knew my name; his ‘mistake’ was basically meant to give the impression that I was so unimportant, so insignificant, that it didn’t matter to him. There’s nothing wrong with the name Allison, but it’s not my name, and he knew it, so that was quite rude.
Alexandra, I think you have explained very well why you have a problem with it. Thanks for letting me know.
I put this story on my blog…linked to you. GREAT NEWS! :)
No problem, Bethany. Honestly I don’t really mind it because there are like a million things that come before it on my “things to worry about” list, but I do think it’s rude just for the fact that it’s intentional.
Hi Jill.
Wow, this is an amazing feat! I am from New Zealand and am doing what little I can in the pro-life work over here. I’m following your blog with interest.
God bless!
Andy
Bethany: Thanks, I briefly skimmed the article…I must have missed that part…
I am at school, waiting on my next class to start and the weather is awful, just awful!
It’s been raining for two days straight and I think it’s supposed to rain tomorrow as well. We had Tornado Warnings all last night….
I think this is part of TS Faye maybe… Who knows…Alabama weather is screwy, as you know.
That’s awesome!!
No worries, bryan mack. I am sure the hikers will remove their sewn together twin sheets in due time.
Bryan:
Really
Naive
Comment
Thanks for explaining, Alexandra. I wouldn’t have had the patience to write all that out.
Nice comeback, bryan mack — almost haiku in nature. Couldn’t have done it better, myself. The only thing I can add is that I hope the all that cotton is recycled into something actually useful after the convention.
Midnite678,
I hope you have an awesome start to another great year! Congratulations on making the Dean’s List!!
Sorry your mom doesn’t quite get it. I was the only young adult to graduate in my family from college. I was told not to make a big deal out of it so my sisters didn’t “feel bad.” And if I thought I was so smart because I had a degree, I had another think coming!! Nice.
I am a little jealous of you. Heading back to academia. Sigh…someday. :)
Maybe the sheets could be used to cradle unborn
CHILDREN that should be loved, not thrown in the trash.
Thanks Carla! :o)
I am so happy that come December 11th, I will be done with college (for at least a year).
Ray….I concur with you, as usual ;o)
Awesome…I sincerely hope there is news coverage on this! To those who think it destroys scenery…guess you’d like windmills instead??
Yes. Protect and preserve the livelihood of innocent twin sheets over the lives of the unborn. Let’s hope that the poor sheets do not meet the same fate as unwanted children in the womb.
This was on c-span.
PRAISE THE LORD! Everyone worked so hard on this project. This is amazing to see. My husband and dozens of others from Denver Bible Church and ARTL have been up on the mountain since 1:00am putting this all together. Apparently this is creating quite a commotion.

While it’s no big deal to me, I can appreciate your annoyance with Jill’s persistent use of the grammatically incorrect form of the word “Democratic”. We’ll see if the third time is the charm.
God bless those guys!
Thanks for the updates Jill – I also liked to your updates.
There’s a reason it’s the ‘Democrat’ party. It’s because there’s nothing ‘democratic’ about it, as exemplified by so-called ‘super-delegates.’ You go, Jill…
Man, I’m such an idiot, I didn’t read the story so I didn’t know this was all made out of sheets! I thought there was some other super secret use of sheets going on.
Maybe they could donate the sheets to a shelter or something, when they’re done with them. You need to call around to see who takes them because it’s kind of a strange item, though. I think Catholic Charities takes bedding. Re-using is better than recycling!
Dani @ 10:55,

Thanks to your husband and the dozens of other volunteers on this project!
More from Dani’s blog:
Columbine dad Brian Rohrbough, whose son Daniel was murdered at that high school massacre, is the group’s vice president. “When we tell kids that unborn children can be killed if their parents don’t want them,” said Rohrbough, “we rob them of the knowledge of the God-given right to life and we destroy their moral foundation. Abortion is wrong because it’s a baby; it’s always wrong to intentionally kill an innocent baby.”

I see how this works, we remove all comments (even if done in respect without attacking other posters) if they don’t agree with you. I realize this will be deleted too; I’ll just take my arguments elsewhere where both sides of an opinion can be placed. I’m wondering where Leave No Trace stands on this stain. Causing this kind of damage to our mountainsides (yes, going off trail on a mountain permanently damages the land and causes unnecessary erosion, no matter your care) should not be tolerated, regardless of what your message is.

Your intentions are very kind, but I think they should keep it to use again. If they could only find a place to store it. 2400 twin sheets is a lot of sheets!
For shame! Littering on public land. It only hurts your cause to despoil mountains

Got it. Rocks, plants. More important than human babies. How are the babies going to appreciate our beautiful country if they are not here?
Thanks Janet – this has been a grueling task for all those involved. Denver Bible Church formed the DNC welcoming committee 5 months ago and members from our church have been diligently working on this SOS projest no-stop. Hopefully this will make a lasting statement and help our efforts for the Personhood Amendment this Nov.
VOTE YES on 48
The term “Person” or “Persons” shall include any human from the time of fertilization.

EXACTLY what I was going to say! All the outrage over hurting the precious mountainside, but who cares that abortionists are ripping the arms and legs off of innocent babies and throwing them in the garbage!
“Save the trees” while killing the babies!
Such liberal disgrace!
Janet – bryan helps illustrate exactly what is wrong with the DNC.
Bryan,
“I see how this works, we remove all comments (even if done in respect without attacking other posters) if they don’t agree with you.”
That was my fault. We have been getting hit with a lot of spam recently, and your post (destRoys mouNtain sCenery) just blended in with the spam, and I accidently marked it as such. You can repost it. I’m sorry about that.
So now Nacy Pelosi is defining church doctrine on abortion. What a joke. It’s obviouls that the Democrats from Obama to Biden to Pelosi are now guilty of blashemy and heresy for the purpose of political gain.
Here’s a few excerps from church fathers:
Barnabas: “You shall not kill either the fetus by abortion or the new born” (Letter of Barnabas, circa 125)
Anon: An unknown author writing circa 135 CE in The Apocalypse of Peter: “I saw a gorge in which the discharge and excrement of the tortured ran down and became like a lake. There sat women, and the discharge came up to their throats; and opposite them sat many children, who were born prematurely, weeping. And from them went forth rays of fire and smote the women on the eyes. These were those who produced children outside of marriage, and who procured abortions.”
“Those who slew the unborn children will be tortured forever, for God wills it to so.”
Athenagoras: “We say that women who induce abortions are murderers, and will have to give account of it to God. For the same person, would not regard the child in the womb as a living being and therefore an object of God’s care and then kill it…. But we are altogether consistent in our conduct. We obey reason and do not override it.” Petition to Emperor Marcus Aurelius (121-180 CE), circa 150 CE
Clement of Alexandria: (circa 150 – 215 CE) “Our whole life can go on in observation of the laws of nature, if we gain dominion over our desires from the beginning and if we do not kill, by various means of a perverse art, the human offspring, born according to the designs of divine providence; for these women who, if order to hide their immorality, use abortive drugs which expel the child completely dead, abort at the same time their own human feelings.” Paedagogus 2
Tertullian (circa 155 – 225 CE): “…we are not permitted, since murder has been prohibited to us once and for all, even to destroy …the fetus in the womb. It makes no difference whether one destroys a life that has already been born or one that is in the process of birth.”
St. Hippolytus (circa 170-236 CE): “Reputed believes began to resort to drugs for producing Sterility and to gird themselves round, so as to expel what was conceived on account of their not wanting to have a child either by a slave or by any paltry fellow, for the sake of their family and excessive wealth. Behold, into how great impiety that lawless one has proceeded, by inculcating adultery and murder at the same time.” From “Refutation of all Heresies” 9:7
Minicius Felix (a Christian lawyer; circa 180 – 225 CE): “Some women take medicines to destroy the germ of future life in their own bodies. They commit infanticide before they have given birth to the infant” 5
St. Basil the Great (circa 330 – 379 CE): “She who has deliberately destroyed a fetus has to pay the penalty of murder…here it is not only the child to be born that is vindicated, but also the woman herself who made an attempt against her own life, because usually the women die in such attempts. Furthermore, added to this is the destruction of the child, another murder… Moreover, those, too, who give drugs causing abortion are deliberate murderers themselves, as well as those receiving the poison which kills the fetus.” Letter 188:2
St. Ambrose: (339 to 397 CE) “The poor expose their children, the rich kill the fruit of their own bodies in the womb, lest their property be divided up, and they destroy their own children in the womb with murderous poisons. and before life has been passed on, it is annihilated.” 6
St. John Chrysostom (circa 340 – 407 CE): “Why sow where the ground makes it its care to destroy the fruit? Where there are many efforts at abortion? Where there is murder before the birth? For you do not even let the harlot remain a mere harlot, but make her a murderer also. You see how drunkenness leads to whoredom, whoredom to adultery, adultery to murder; or rather something even worse than murder. For I have no real name to give it, since it does not destroy the thing born but prevents its being born. Why then do you abuse the gift of God and fight with His laws, and follow after what is a curse as if a blessing, and make the place of procreation a chamber for murder, and arm the woman that was given for childbearing unto slaughter?” Homily 24 on Romans
St. Jerome (circa 342-420 CE): “They drink potions to ensure sterility and are guilty of murdering a human being not yet conceived. Some, when they learn that they are with child through sin, practice abortion by the use of drugs. Frequently they die themselves and are brought before the rulers of the lower world guilty of three crimes: suicide, adultery against Christ, and murder of an unborn child.” Letter 22:13
Tertullian circa 160-240 CE: “For us [Christians] we may not destroy even the fetus in the womb, while as yet the human being derives blood from other parts of the body for its sustenance. To hinder a birth is merely a speedier man-killing; nor does it matter when you take away a life that is born, or destroy one that is coming to birth. That is a man which is going to be one: you have the fruit already in the seed.” Apology 9:6
“They [John and Jesus] were both alive while still in the womb. Elizabeth rejoiced as the infant leaped in her womb; Mary glorifies the Lord because Christ within inspired her. Each mother recognizes her child and is known by her child who is alive, being not merely souls but also spirits.” De A ninta 26:4
What a waste.
If they can afford 2,400 bedsheets…you know how much they could have done for people who are actually ON this planet right now?
Your intentions are very kind, but I think they should keep it to use again. If they could only find a place to store it. 2400 twin sheets is a lot of sheets!
Oh, yeah, sorry, I was just bouncing off of someone who said they hope the sheets get recycled into something good. I always try to follow both the order and the spirit of the “reduce, reuse, recycle!” thing — reduce first, reuse second, and recycle last. Ideally, if you’re reducing and re-using, you won’t have much to recycle. It’s the soda cans that get me! ;)
Ever since I saw 28 Weeks Later, I’ve secretly wanted to sew together a bunch of sheets so that they say “HELP.” You know, just in case zombies attack and everyone writes us off as dead. But we don’t even have room to store my old Legos, so my boyfriend quickly nixes that idea whenever it comes up. “What’s in that closet?” “Oh, just Ally’s zombie-attack sheets.”
If you want to see the ultimate in anti-gay hate speech, go to Dani’s post, “Generation Xpose” worstgenerationseed.com, linked above.
Move over, Fred “God hates fags” Phelps.
Thanks for revealing the people behind Amendment 48. The voters are getting the message, loud and clear.
Alexandra,
No need to apologize!
Lol! Zombie-attack sheets! I’d love to save the old toys for grandchildren, but when it comes down to it, if I don’t use something, it’s gone! I hate clutter!
– – – – – – – – – – – – –
Erin,
What a waste.
If they can afford 2,400 bedsheets…you know how much they could have done for people who are actually ON this planet right now?
Are you as pragmatic in ALL areas of your life?
Hi Bobby. If you’re still around I was thinking about you the other day. I was reading my kids “The Grapes of Math” and didn’t know if you had ever heard of the book. It’s a kid
Wait…… Erin says that unborn babies are “not on this planet”? What planet are they on? Are all wombs on another planet? Stop the presses!!
OOOOOH a Guinness Record! Something to be really proud of spending lots of time and money on – like getting the record for being the worlds fattest man, or having the world’s longest toenails.
This is absolutely rediculous! What a terrible waist of time and money. Why not use the money used to buy those sheets and give it to charities that support pregnant women, that CHOOSE to keep their babies? This is also stupid because it makes the assumption that every democrat is pro choice and not even pro choice, pro abortion. I think this is pathetic and should be removed.
I also said ‘people’, I believe. A fetus is not a person.
So you stopped traffic. Whoop-de-doo. What do you REALLY think a massive sign like that is going to ACCOMPLISH? I guarentee you, not one abortion will be stopped because of a big piecemeal sign.
Janet- I am FANTASTICALLY pragmatic.
HisMan @ 11:32 AM,
Awesome quotes from the Church Fathers (I believe these words should be capitalized). Do you have a source? I’d like to book mark it. Thanks.
Kristin,
Awesome! Sounds like fun, thanks for the recommendation. And you are indeed correct that it is never too early to start teaching children math. I believe I have some pictures of Gianna “reading” my book on Homotopy Theory at age 3 months… God love you.
“Janet – bryan helps illustrate exactly what is wrong with the DNC.”
bryan is not a democrate, although he will vote that way THIS time.
“All the outrage over hurting the precious mountainside, but who cares that abortionists are ripping the arms and legs off of innocent babies and throwing them in the garbage!”
exactly, i haven’t made one point here for or against the statement being made on the mountain, nor will i. i am simply upset with the manner in which it was done, it is disrespectful to the locals of golden.
“That was my fault. We have been getting hit with a lot of spam recently, and your post (destRoys mouNtain sCenery) just blended in with the spam, and I accidently marked it as such. You can repost it. I’m sorry about that.”
no problem there, i can understand that! spam is annoying to clean up in these things. sorry for my “attack” when it was a misunderstanding. i rescind that part of my earlier comment.
Mike, Cat and Erin, you don’t understand. The sign is a publicity stunt to raise money for Bob Enyart’s hate church, not to stop abortions.
Helping pregnant women won’t get you any publicity, and it is hard work!
Now stop being so critical, if this publicity stunt doesn’t work, Bob and Ken Scott might have to get a job!
“bryan is not a democrate, although he will vote that way THIS time.”
…as shown my own ability to misspell
No problem Bobby. There’s also a fun series call “Sir Cumference.” “Sir Cumference and the Knights of the Round Table,
HisMan,
I almost started getting sick watching that interview with Pelosi this morning. The fact is either she is a woefully ignorant of ANYTHING Christian or she is a liar. I would have much more respect for her if she just simply said “look, no one has the right to use another person’s body. Bodily autonomy trumps right to life of a fetus” or “without a functioning cerebral cortex, we do not have a human person. it may be a human being but not a person worthy of life.” At least give us something like that of substance. But no, she has to make up this junk, dodge questions, etc etc. She started pandering to the Roe v Wade decision as if the government is the ultimate arbitrator and decider of absolute truth. Oh, it was so appalling…
This is absolutely rediculous! What a terrible waist of time and money. Why not use the money used to buy those sheets and give it to charities that support pregnant women, that CHOOSE to keep their babies? While every Democrat is not pro-choice/abortion, the DNC is ultimately Barak’s “party”. He’s pro-abortion. Perhaps all those who are outraged by this waste of sheets could make a donation in kind to the closest Women’s Resource Center.
” i rescind that part of my earlier comment.”
No problem, bro.
Ah! Did you “Math for all Seasons”? AWESOME!
Judas, you know, the one who betrayed our Lord and then hanged himself and all his intestines poured out onto the “Filed of Blood”. You know the same guy that complained that the perfume that Mary Magdelene was using to worship her Lord with should have been sold and the money given to the poor.
Well, that same spirit that invoked Judas to think those, on the surface “good deed” thoughts, is the same spirit that invokes pro-aborts’ complaints against pro-lifers who try to worship their Lord by publicizing what abortion is – MURDER.
And Erin Erin, Erin……a conception is a person. A person has a body, a spirit and a soul and so does a conception. The only difference is the stage of physical development. Tell me something Erin. If the body is all that there is to a person, what happens to a person who is cremated and they are turned into ashes that can be blown into the wind? Does the person dissappear when the body is burned? It is ludicrous to think that just because a conception is tiny, tiny, tiny, disqualifies that entity from personhood.
And the whole Counsel of God stands against your assertion and you and no one else will be able to stand or prevail against susch Counsel.
Bobby, Kristen,
There’s also a fun series call “Sir Cumference.”
Do your kids enjoy these books as much as you do? :o)
Hisman,
EXCELLENT!
This was great idea! kudos to the hard work those pro-lifers put into this. It is needed. If we didn’t have a MSM that was so intent in blocking our message, this wouldn’t be necessary.
Bobby,
What Pelosi did was scandelous, disgraceful.
btw: my cable company canceled EWTN for some reason. One of the few decent channels on TV me and the wife like to watch. Unbelievable.
Janet:
Here’s one and there are many:

Just google: church fathers history abortion tertullian
HisMan- in my opinion? Yes. That’s exactly what happens. You die. The end. All gone. No more.
So all the more reason to live life to the fullest now.
Janet, I’m not at all good at math. My husband teaches it though so I’m off the hook for homework help.
It wasn’t until I read about Sir Cumference, Lady Di of Ameter and their son Radius that I finally thought “So that’s how you get the answer!” Really, I’m pathetic when it comes to math. My husband just shakes his head.
Now history, that’s my love. I could tell you practically every detail of the civil war. What happened at Picket’s farm, how John Wilkes Booth hid for those 12 days, how John Brown died. I could go on and on (and bore most people to death.)
Hahahaha…HisMan, are you really using links from Religious Tolerance? Have you seen other links on that page? They’d give you a coronary!
Ahh! I’m the same way, Kristen, except I’ve always been into classical history- primarily Greece and Rome.
lnt.org
I understand that the organization that did this plans to remove the sign and leave the area cleaner than it had been, but they aren’t really setting a very good example for the thousands of people that will see it.
Apparently some Repblicans are trying to take away a woman’s right to choose. That sure won’t help in November.
http://cbs4denver.com/investigates/assisination.plot.obama.2.802827.html
“my cable company canceled EWTN for some reason”
Oh, good grief Jasper! I couldn’t do it; I can’t go back to life without EWTN. I’d either watch it on ewtn.com or I’d get a dish like Father Corapi had to. Too bad!
Janet,
Here is another page you can bookmark with quotes from the Church Fathers about abortion http://www.catholic.com/library/Abortion.asp In fact, http://www.catholic.com is an excellent resource for any and all Catholic/Christian apologetics. It was them that brought me back to the faith.
Erin:
If this is all there is, you are most pitiable.
Pro-Lifers’ Gift to the DNC
Update: Jill Stanek has the full story.
HisMan-
If this is all there is, then everything has meaning.
Jasper,
My cable company took away EWTN last year. my 5 year old is still upset she loved the “Jesus cartoons” as she called them!
I can not wait to see what news organization covers this sign thing tonight!
YES!!!!!!!!!!
My home church in Goshen, IN sent @ 40 bed sheets collected from hotels and motels that were getting rid of their old bedsheets.
And I collected around 100 old bed sheets from a motel in Ft Wayne. I had to roll them out to my car in order to take them home it was so heavy.
I sent @ half of those sheets in as big a box as the USPS would allow. Going to use the rest I have for signs WE WILL MAKE here in Northern Indiana.
This is so awesome that we could contribute @ 10% of the 700 sheets they needed and be part of this world record effort!
Yes, we’re very proud and happy about this. This image will be taken away from the Democrat National Convention and will get people talking about the DNC promoting abortion on demand, even partial-birth abortion (and Obama defending INFANTICIDE!)
No one will be able to think about the DNC and not also think of their promotion of Destroying uNborn Children. Its a topic that won’t go away!
Alexandra said:

I think they should take the sheets of shame on the road to follow Obama around the nation for the next couple months to get the message out.
And then sell off the sheets through an online auction!
The people doing the sign are awesome. More power to them and I pray it changes minds.
Nancy Pelosi is from my state, I am so ashamed. She is also a Catholic but I don’t call her that. Google ‘a priest writes to Nancy Pelosi’ for an eye opener.
Aside to HisMan: I would not use belief.net nor religioustolerance.org as cites. Too many iffy things on these sites. Just a heads up.
“I can not wait to see what news organization covers this sign thing tonight!”
Fox News if were lucky.
Erin, I’m so glad you’re here.

This is also stupid because it makes the assumption that every democrat is pro choice and not even pro choice, pro abortion. I think this is pathetic and should be removed.
Posted by: Cat at August 26, 2008 11:53 AM
Cat,
Did you see the quote of the day? The DNC has always been pro abortion. It is part of their platform. Maybe the Democrats who are pro-life need to reconsider who they are supporting.
You should probably talk with PP about dedicating funds to counsel and support women who want to CHOOSE to keep their babies instead of selling them abortions. Maybe they could give some of our hard earned taxpayer dollars to the organizations and charities who support women who decide to give life. Maybe they could donate the profits they make selling junk jewelry and body oils to CPCs
So…this sign is supposed to convince ppl not to vote Democrat? Whatevs. It’s preaching to the choir, and underlining Dems’ perceptions of the anti-choice side. If it stirs anyone up, it would be the ppl who already feel this way.
Erin blathered:
“What a waste.
If they can afford 2,400 bedsheets…you know how much they could have done for people who are actually ON this planet right now?”
HAHA!! What a stupid objection!
You could say the same thing about almost anything else. Maybe if people would just stop paying lots of money for crappy coffee and cappucinos at Starbucks they could save enough money to (INSERT CHARITY HERE).
Hey Erin, are you familiar at all with the cost of advertising? Well, if you consider HOW MANY PEOPLE saw this huge sign in Denver, then you can understand the dollar value of this huge sign’s affectiveness in reaching people.
Also, its worth pointing out, that ARTL putting out this huge sign today really shows up the puny efforts of all the other small groups of Christ-hating protestors there in Denver.
ARTL = TOP DOGS OF PROTESTING
Hal- I’m really glad to be back. Weird as it is, I missed this place.
Erin:
The meaning of life is Jesus Christ.
Deny Him and any imagined meaning that you embrace is well, meaningless.
Effectiveness. Not affectiveness. Effectiveness.
And that’s an excellent point. When I quit smoking a month ago, I started collecting my weekly cigarette money and in a year, it will all be sent to HRC. I would encourage anyone setting a goal like that to make that kind of commitment. It’s very encouraging.
And as for its _E_ffectiveness, you’re going to make the liberals laugh, the conservatives high-five you, and the moderates say “Holy crap. What a buncha loonies.”
/end Grammar Nazi
Hey Erin, are you familiar at all with the cost of advertising? Well, if you consider HOW MANY PEOPLE saw this huge sign in Denver, then you can understand the dollar value of this huge sign’s affectiveness in reaching people.”
So, a lot of people saw a wierd sign in the hills? I doubt they “reached” a lot of people. Do pro lifers really think that “if only people understood what abortion really was they would be against it?”
People support abortion rights because it’s the right thing to do, not because they haven’t heard the word.
HisMan- I find the meaning that I give to myself to be far greater and more rewarding than the meaning that anybody or anything else could give to me.

Jasper,
Comcast Cable just cancelled my EWTN as well. I’ve had it since its beginnings, 20+ years! Comcast stinks! We need an online protest! (Bobby, you might want to make your pre-emptive calls to your cable guy now!)

thanks for the links!

Hal @ 1:35,
People support abortion rights because it’s the right thing to do, not because they haven’t heard the word.
So glad you finally agree! Oh….never mind.

Gotta love Fox News CO’s “coverage”;

The End.
HisMan, here’s the benediction from the DNC:
“Father God,
This week, as the world looks on, help the leaders in this room create a civil dialogue about our future.
We need you, God, as individuals and also as a nation.
We need you to protect us from our enemies, but also from ourselves, because we are easily tempted toward apathy.
Give us a passion to advance opportunities for the least of these, for widows and orphans, for single moms and children whose fathers have left.
Give us the eyes to see them, and the ears to hear them, and hands willing to serve them.
Help us serve people, not just causes. And stand up to specific injustices rather than vague notions.
Give those in this room who have power, along with those who will meet next week, the courage to work together to finally provide health care to those who don
Wow 22 seconds of fame on the local Fox affiliate, a far right extremist station that caters to the crazies. Speaking of which, Fox will be the only local or national coverage.
Fox is attempting to stir up trouble at the DNC, the first example of which was the “reporter” trying to start a riot by doing an “ambush” interview on Ward Churchill on Sunday in the middle of a crowd of 1000 anti-war activists. Fox is not done yet, and local media has begun to focus on its activities.
Wow!!!
PPC,
Thnaks for the ace reporting. I just got shivers.
Hal,
Are you a registered Democrat?
“Reports are that traffic on I70 has slowed 10 miles from the protest sign as drivers come into its view.”
—————————————
Dang..that’s like slowing traffic in I-294 during rush hour here in Chicago!
To all those who opposed the HUGE sign for one reason or another…get over it, it was THEIR CHOICE, THEIR EFFORT and THEIR MONEY.
You don’t like it..Make your OWN!
It’s hard to criticize a prayer…….
1:51We have tried to solve these problems ourselves but they are still there. We need your help.
They got that one right.
Isn’t it ironic that Jill is in the middle of one of the most significant political events of the decade, and can only post about a two-bit publicity stunt?
What is next, an anti-abortion hot dog eating contest?
Erin- Regarding the would be assassins.
Thankfully they were far to stupid to actually carry anything out! It’s good to know that the police are paying extra attention to anything “out of the ordinary” right now.
http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=98414&catid=188
JEFFERSON COUNTY – An unauthorized group spent much of Tuesday morning unveiling their political message by way of a huge sign on Table Mountain.
The group is being forced to remove the material but officials are allowing them to take a break, drink some water and eat some food first.
The sign’s layout is similar to a crossword puzzle and read vertically, “DNC” and then horizontally, “Destroys, Unborn, Children.”
Dozens of 9NEWS viewers called to alert us about the massive protest sign.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and Open Space Rangers struck a deal with the protestors allowing them to take a break before hiking back up the mountain and removing the sign.
The group behind the sign was not immediately known but roughly 50 anti-abortion protestors are in the area.
It was unclear if the group would face and violations or charges.
“Father, will you restore our moral standing in the world.”
——————————————–
What? The DNC has morals to begin with?
“Spacer Rangers”? Cool!
Somebody please call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Dept. and ask them to let the sign stay up over night. Give these people some rest!
“Are you going to grow up, Jill and stop epithetically calling it the ‘Democrat Convention?’ You are exhibiting the maturity of a schoolgirl, sticking out her tongue. For the third time, it is the Democratic Convention.”
I’ll remember this if next week you fail to address properly the Republicanic National Convention.
Erin: “If they can afford 2,400 bedsheets…you know how much they could have done for people who are actually ON this planet right now?”
Erin’s reasoning reminds me of when people describe a pregnancy by saying there’s another child “on the way.” Where is the kid now, in Akron?
“I also said ‘people’, I believe. A fetus is not a person.”
Sure! I mean, no human development textbook will agree with you, but feel free to utilize your First-Amendment rights in order to make scientifically unsound statements.
“Apparently some Repblicans are trying to take away a woman’s right to choose. That sure won’t help in November.”
Yeah! Supporting rights of the unborn certainly hurt the Republicans in the last two presidential elections — wait…
I’ll remember this if next week you fail to address properly the Republicanic National Convention.
Republican is both a noun and an adjective, so it does not need to be ‘translated’ into adjective form in order to modify a noun. Additionally, Republican National Convention is what the party itself calls it.
Perhaps we should, instead, call it the Publican National Convention. Publicans, as you may or may not know, were basically tax collectors and public contractors back in ancient Rome.
Or we could grow up and call each party by its name.
The whole thing is stupid, but I thought that people here were above perpetuating it. Childishness like that really can affect a person’s perceived credibility.
Fantastic. I could see the sign miles away. As they took the sign down the only letter remaining was the “t” and it looked like a giant cross of Jesus standing alone on the mountain.
I also said ‘people’, I believe. A fetus is not a person.
So you stopped traffic. Whoop-de-doo. What do you REALLY think a massive sign like that is going to ACCOMPLISH? I guarentee you, not one abortion will be stopped because of a big piecemeal sign.
Posted by: Erin at August 26, 2008 11:56 AM
That’s the whole point Erin – we believe very young unborn children (aka fetuses) are persons with all the rights that the rest of us have. We believe life begins at conception and not at implantation (an man-made, arbitrary criteria). Until we have the “right to life” for all, we will use any legal means to protest and bring awareness to all.
Well Hal:
That was a prayer of sorts but more one laden with politicsm for the purposes of expressing a party platform than actaully appealing to God’s heart.
Where was the request to end abortion?
God is not mocked Hal. Our prayers must line up with His will in order to be answered.
I would have added:
“Lord, please forgive those that would blaspheme your name by redefining when life begins and denying your existence.
Please help our leaders recognize that legalized abortion pollutes our land with the shed blood of the innocent.
Lord, we cry our for mercy because we know that innocent blood requires an answer from you Lord and we now beg you for grace and mercy for the 50,000,000 innocent babies we have murdered and killed in this country over the last 35 years.
Lord, we repent of trying to replace the church with the government.
We repent of having accepted a bribe by the government in exchange for not being able to express thw full oracles of God.
We repent of having nominated Barack Obama, an individual who stands arrogantly in opposition to your will by supporting the murder of inncoent children in the womb, an act which is an abomination in your sight.”
So, in answer to that prayer, a pro-abort will not be elected. How could he be?

If they can afford 2,400 bedsheets…you know how much they could have done for people who are actually ON this planet right now?
Posted by: Erin at August 26, 2008 11:32 AM
First of all, I don’t really see why it’s any of anyone’s business what they do with their money or the sheets. Really.
How much money has Obama wasted on campaign ads? Money that could have helped other people? How much money does Al Gore waste flying his private jet? Couldn’t that money have gone to help others?
Does that concern you as well?
Secondly, you don’t know that they spent any money at all on the sheets- they could have been donated by people all over the united states, plus, they may be planning to donate them once this is overwith.
(Not that it’s any of our business anyway).
The only reason that anyone has a problem with this protest sign isn’t about the money spent, or how it might have helped other people- no, the problem is that you simply don’t agree with the message displayed.
Look, I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with this or that they don’t have the right to do it. All I’m saying is that I think it’s silly and makes PLers look like loonies. But hey, whatever.
Jasper,
My mom called yesterday to say the same thing…EWTN is gone…except I found it on a different channel. Don’t know what’s going on but it’s still there. Keep looking.
All I’m saying is that I think it’s silly and makes PLers look like loonies. But hey, whatever.

*more* like loonies.
Hal and Erin,
Shucks. You think I’m a loonie? I guess I’ve been called worse. But honestly, if standing up for the rights of the unborn make me a loonie…well…
All I’m saying is that I think it’s silly and makes PLers look like loonies. But hey, whatever.
Posted by: Erin at August 26, 2008 4:05 PM
What is silly and makes pro-lifers look like loonies is when people like you sit back and whine and complain about the efforts of others while babies are being destroyed by the millions.
And by the way…that’s what we’ll be doin’ with the extra sheets…making little hats to denote our lunacy!
mk, you’re not a loonie. Many of the tactics of those who want to “stand up for the rights of the unborn” seem loonie to the rest of us. Imagine how all this looks to people who have no problem with legal abortion?
Oh, thanks MK, I’ll check.
Look, I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with this or that they don’t have the right to do it. All I’m saying is that I think it’s silly and makes PLers look like loonies. But hey, whatever.
Well, fair enough, Erin…however, I would expect an abortion proponent to think it’s loony. But I don’t really think that these people really care about what abortion supporters think of them, as much as they care about the unborn babies who are being killed.
Hal, it shouldn’t look “loony” if you have an ounce of empathy.
Think about it from our point of view. Let’s pretend for a moment that for some reason it was not legal to kill 4 year olds. They are using too many resources (or something, let’s just say there is some similance of a reason). Anyways, 4 year olds are being killed and the government says it’s every parent’s right to kill his 4 year old. Wouldn’t you be trying to stop this practice? Wouldn’t you do things that could be seen as “loony” to help end the killing of 4 year olds?
I’m not saying that YOU have to believe that the unborn have the same worth as 4 year olds, just to understand that we do.
You’re so good at explaining things, Lauren. You and Oliver both.
Thanks, Bethany!
The protest doesn’t really bother me. People do eye-catching things to garner attention for their cause. What if it had been a sheet for every person who died in Iraq, and a whole section of the mountain had been turned white?
When Clinton came to my university a couple years ago, people all went out and laid on the lawn in front of the auditorium where she was speaking, apparently to represent the soldiers dying in Iraq. I thought it was kind of a waste of time, but lots of people saw nothing frivolous about it.
I don’t really care what protesters do as long as they leave me the heck alone.
By ‘leave me alone’ I mean don’t yell at me, touch me, etc. If I’m clearly not interested in discussion, please don’t force it on me.
I understand Lauren, and when you put it that way, it’s not really looney, just a simple disagreement. But when you throw into the mix from many (not all) of the same people beliefs like birth control is evil, pre-marital sex is wrong, gay people shouldn’t marry, or some invisible creator does whatever invisible creators do, then the movement loses all credibility with me. But, that’s just me.
Hal,
Thanks for the vote of confidence, but tell me. Why aren’t I a looney? I mean, I too hold those signs once a year at the face the truth tour, I think birth control is an evil (tho I don’t think any but the abortifacients should be banned), I think gay marriage is wrong, and I think sex should be between married men and women, and I believe in the Invisible Guy. My whole life is devoted to serving Him.
I think that you think that we just like making rules for everyone. But that’s not it. The reasons that we believe what we believe are complex. As Bobby said the other day our beliefs are based on Faith AND Reason, but it seems like you focus on the Faith, only. There are very real, very deep reasons why we feel that certain things are wrong. We don’t want to be the “Evil” police. But we have an understanding of life that you don’t. We see things in a different way. We aren’t chained to the physical. It’s not that we don’t see your side, it’s that we believe there are two sides in life. The physical (what you live by) AND the spritual. We can’t separate them as you do.
Most of us just share our views. Yes, some of us cross into condemning you guys, but usually we are just telling you how we see it. Hoping that maybe, even if you don’t buy it, you might see it through our eyes for a minute or two.
So I think that puts me in the gumby camp.
I don’t mind really. Most of the saints were considered nuts too. I’m not in bad company.
:)
WHAT A GREAT SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“There are very real, very deep reasons why we feel that certain things are wrong.”
And MK, we have very real and deep reasons for disagreeing with you. I do want to show more respect, however. People like you and Bobby and fine individuals. We don’t HAVE to agree. We live in a great country, don’t we?
Hal,
I understand, of course your reasons are very real. But I don’t treat you like a fool for having them. When you call our God the invisible being, meaning to demean some of the posters on here, you also demean all of us.
I know that people have said some horrible things to you on here. I get that. I hate when they do it. But it makes them look bad, not you. By the same token, when you call us loonies and make fun of our God, it makes you look bad, not us. See?
You end up insulting or hurting people that you aren’t really targeting. If you must retaliate than do it to the people that have attacked you (better that you take the high road, but if you must you must) and try not to attack ALL people of faith. Because many of us are sincere, do you respect you and your right to your views even if we disagree with them, and are still people of faith that believe abortion is wrong.
Peace. My enemy is abortion, not you.
The protest doesn’t really bother me. People do eye-catching things to garner attention for their cause. What if it had been a sheet for every person who died in Iraq, and a whole section of the mountain had been turned white?
And what if a sheet had been used for every baby who’s died from abortion? How many mountains would that cover? I wonder….
“look, no one has the right to use another person’s body.
Obviously.
This is why, if you donate a kidney to someone and decide you want it back, you are allowed to chop open the recipient and take it back.
Go ahead and try it!
This is why, if you donate a kidney to someone and decide you want it back, you are allowed to chop open the recipient and take it back.
Nope – you donated it by your own free will. You can ask, but you can’t take, same as for the other person before you donated.
What if it had been a sheet for every person who died in Iraq, and a whole section of the mountain had been turned white?

What if it had been a sheet for every unborn baby who was killed by abortion – the ENTIRE Rocky Mountain range would be covered white.

I’m glad you can relate to Hal in this way. I commend you mk.
Unfortunately, I cannot. I find it sad and completely disgusting that a man can come on a prolife blog (or any other blog for that matter) and toot his horn over how wonderful it was and how satisfied he is, that two of his kids were aborted. You have a much stronger stomach than I do. I feel sick just thinking about it…..
What if it had been a sheet for every unborn baby who was killed by abortion – the ENTIRE Rocky Mountain range would be covered white.
I’m pretty sure people are missing my point on this. I’m not saying either is worse or bigger or more worthy of protesting — I’m saying, if it were an anti-war thing, a lot of people’s opinions on this topic would probably be reversed. I think people’s support or mocking of this protest is more about their view on abortion than about their view of the sign itself.
Erin showed her complete lack of imagination by saying:
“Effectiveness. Not affectiveness. Effectiveness.”
Wrong. Its Affectiveness as in they get an A for their effort and ingenuity + ffectiveness.
I create my own reality, so if you don’t like it get over it.
Alexandra said:
” What if it had been a sheet for every person who died in Iraq, and a whole section of the mountain had been turned white?”
HAHA! Not even close. To what we are talking about here. anyways Let’s compare US soldiers that die defending their country with babies who are murdered.
1. Babies have no choice in their death. Soldiers choose to join the armed forces to defend the USA knowing that they may have to give their lives in its defense.
2. Babies are completely defenseless. Soldiers have weapons to use to defend themselves from being killed (in most cases).
3. 3,000+ babies on average are murdered each day in the USA. About 3-4 US soldiers are killed on average each day so that if we stopped murdering babies in the USA for 2 days we would make up the difference in all the American lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan in the last 6 years.
HUGE DIFFERENCE
Zeke13:19, US soldiers who die in Iraq are not “defending their country”. They are foreign aggressors in someone else’s country. I’m not saying their aggression isn’t justified or that it isn’t beneficial; maybe it is both, but to say they are defending their country is detached from reality.
SoMG:
I suggest you stay away from this soldier opinion you know nothing about.
Come back when you go over there and put your life on the line.
And you can’t imagine what I really, really want to say to you,
HisMan, you wrote: “I suggest you stay away from this soldier opinion you know nothing about. Come back when you go over there and put your life on the line.”
Does that apply to GWBush and Dick Cheney too?
Look, HisMan, I don’t mean to say the soldiers aren’t very good fellows who deserve the best or Saddam didn’t deserve what happened to him or anything like that but when one country’s armed forces lead an international armed force into another country, remove its government and attempt to replace it with a new government more favorable to their country and build military bases there, then the name of what the international soldiers are doing is “occupation” and the removal of the second country’s government is called “aggression”, EVEN IF IT’S ALL JUSTIFIED AND A GOOD THING FOR EVERYONE ALL AROUND AND WHAT GOD AND THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER WANT. Those are the names for those actions and I’m sorry if it offends your patriotism. The phrase “defending your country” means thwarting or preventing an attack against your country. There is no reason to believe we did that by stomping Saddam and no reason to believe we are doing it now in Iraq.
A word about yellowcake. Yellowcake is not very different from raw uranium ore from a mine. It has to be purified, converted to a liquid chemical and then spun hard enough and long enough for the very slightly heavier isotope to separate from the lighter one. That last part is what they mean by enrichment. You need to do it for nuclear energy too but not as hard. Even Iran has the legal right to learn how to do it for energy, just not for bombs. Anyway, the point is yellowcake even in large tonnages is a very long way away from a nuke or even a “nukular” weapons program.
You want to worry about a nuke? OK. Last year an agent caught someone trying to sell three kilograms of HIGHLY ENRICHED uranium, bomb grade, obviously (but not admittedly) stolen from a Russian lab. Guess where the stuff was going to change hands? South Ossetia. Fifteen kilograms is enough for a nuke.
My Comcast just “cancelled” EWTN, too. They moved to their “Digital Starter” package. I reminded them that EWTN does not charge for their signal, and then I moved to Digital Starter ($1.99/mo more), which is essentially the basic analog service I already had plus a few extra channels. They didn’t offer that service right off the bat, I had to ask for it (it was described on the bill).
I rushed to get that done – I’m amazed how attached I’ve become to EWTN! I’ll even put up with the stupid cable box and the stupider cable remote!
This canceling of EWTN that is going around is disgraceful. This is a reason that everyone should get a dish.
somg: my goodness you are just a wealth of information aren’t you?
nuclear physics, medicine, opera, evolution, global warming, war, armed services, etc. etc. etc.
I’m with HisMan: go over to Afghanistan and help them set up their police service, remove mines and defend the people who want to get on with their lives and live in a democratic society. Then voice an opinion. My guess is, you wouldn’t last 2 weeks in the basic training!
HisMan
THIS Soldier WAS over in Iraq and put my life on the line – two tours. You? You were probably in a USMH…if you were even there. Your opinion means little to me.
You drink the Kool Aid? You really think we are defending OUR country?
And what do you really, really want me to say?
dtm, HisMan has not only tried the kook-aid, he’s swimming in it. He loves the whole Bush/McCain/Chaney/Rumfeld/Gonzalez team. Of course, if the rest of us had watched his secret Obama video, we’d understand too…..
“Perhaps we should, instead, call it the Publican National Convention. Publicans, as you may or may not know, were basically tax collectors and public contractors back in ancient Rome.”
Then maybe we should call the Democrats that.
Anyway, I try to call each party what it wants to be called. I just don’t understand the hoopla over being called “The Democrat Party,” as if there’s some sort of slur in there. It might be immaturity on the part of the person saying it, but it might be an honest mistake, too, since, as you say, “Republican” can be used as adjective and noun, and one might think the same of “Democrat.”
Bobby- my family got a dish lately. I want to chuck the thing off the roof. It’s terrible, hard to work, and if you get the slightest bit of wind, forget watching television for at least an hour.
I miss cable.
My vote is for the “Republicants”.
Zeke etc…I think you may have missed Alexandras point. She was defending pro-lifers who were being called loonies, not attacking them. I don’t think her point was even about the Iraq war.
Actually, she clarified at 9:48:
“I’m pretty sure people are missing my point on this. I’m not saying either is worse or bigger or more worthy of protesting — I’m saying, if it were an anti-war thing, a lot of people’s opinions on this topic would probably be reversed. She was defending pro-lifers, not starting a discussion about the Iraq war, or anything like that. :)
This canceling of EWTN that is going around is disgraceful. This is a reason that everyone should get a dish.
Posted by: Bobby Bambino at August 27, 2008 8:04 AM
Do you use Comcast Cable? Do you have basic service? I do and EWTN is gone already. I’m not getting a dish, my neighborhood is congested as it is.
A relative called Comcast (Illinois) and they told him it was EWTN’s choice to stop service, not Comcast’s. So my relative called EWTN and they said “not true”. So he called Comcast again to complain and they gave him 50% off his next bill (or bills). I can’t remember for how long exactly – it may have been 6 mos.?
If enough people complain, maybe we can get it back? This is discrimination against Catholics and a ridiculous moneymaking scheme!
Janet,
I alreaday sent Comcast and email and complained.
Excellent Jasper! I will too!
What is EWTN?
SoMG,
Eternal Word Television Network. It’s the “Catholic channel.” One sometimes runs across it in hotels if they aren’t familiar with it. It has all our favorite Catholic TV programs.
For everyone concerned with how much money was spent on sheets for this display on the mountain, how do you feel about the expensive stage set up at Mile High Stadium for Obama’s speech tonight?
I can only imagine how many people could have been helped with the money they are spending on this lavish stage set up for tonight’s toga party.
President Clinton only showed up because he mistakenly believed they had said “Mile-High CLUB.”
Sandy @ 10:54,
No kidding! You can’t recycle that confetti either.
I am beginning to ponder how any human being can
be pro-abortion. I think it is rather
like one’s being moral, immoral, or amoral. There are those who are amoral re abortion: they are ignorant and don’t want to be otherwise;
they do not wish to be confused with the fact that abortion is murder, thus their consciences are not affected.
There are those who are immoral: they know that abortion is murder since
it involves directly killing the baby inside
or outside the womb (thus, infanticide), but their
consciences have been so seared that they no longer care.
Then there are those who are moral: to the core of their beings, they have such enormously deep feelings for these helpless infants that they feel as if they, too, are suffering and dying when they hear of, read about, or see these heinous acts being committed.
Other questions I have pondered:
how can Jews embrace the Democratic Party’s Pro Choice
(pro abortion) platform when they (the Jews in Europe) suffered a similar holocaust under Hitler’s regime, knowing that this present holocaust has already claimed over 50 million murdered/slaughtered helpless babies.
And how can blacks in America, remembering their own holocaust, embrace the Democratic party’s Pro Choice (pro abortion) platform knowing that this
holocaust has already claimed over 50 million murdered babies?
Were the Jews guilty, thus deserving
of their fates; were the blacks guilty, thus
deserving of their fates; were the babies
guilty, thus deserving of their fates?
Jesus says the leaders of His day who opposed God’s Truth were guilty of straining out gnats
and swallowing camels. This abortion issue is
a camel that the DNC is destined to choke on
for it will never be swallowed! I also believe
that the blood of these innocent little ones must
be atoned for, and until then, the Party that
continues supporting this blood bath-this continuing holocaust-will never occupy the White House.
Abortion is murder. Any doubts? You can try it on yourself and see.
No-choice (a.k.a. “pro-choice) manipulators will never try their own vivisection and dismemberment activities on themselves because they know they are lying murderous hypocrites. Their failure to follow words from themselves with corresponding actions on themselves demonstrates they realize their own sordid hypocrisy.
Instead, all we see is a smokescreen of no-choice apologists trying to cover up their failures with a plethora of irrelevant excuses and insufficient irrationalizations. The baby-killers, who won’t take their own pretend medicine, have zero credibility.
The message on the Colorado mountain is a wonderful testimonial to the evils of abortion. So, of course, the baby-killer cover-up interests wanted the police to order the mountain message taken down the very day it was placed. Why not take down the abortion mills instead?
Abortion is murder.
Nope. You may not like it, but your likes and dislikes are not what makes for murder/not murder.
