Pro-life vid of day: Ottawa pro-choicer regrets his interview
The Blaze shares the story of a pro-choice man who gave an interview at Ottawa’s March for Life this past week – and seemed to very quickly regret it:
The man, identified only as Alex, later reportedly sent an email to [interviewer Marissa Semkiw] asking that none of his responses be used in any videos or broadcasts. Rebel Media declined his request.
During the interview, Semkiw explained that some pro-life advocates would like to see abortion criminalized “up to a certain point,” not banned entirely. She then asked him if it would be OK to abort a baby one month before he or she was born.
Alex first said it’s “understandable” to want to ban abortions after eight months, but quickly reiterated that the choice should be left to a woman and her doctor “no matter what.”
“How about a week?” Semkiw asked.
“That’s her decision again,” he replied.
“How about a day?” she pressed.
“Also her decision,” Alex said. “It’s not for me or any member of Parliament or religious organization to tell her otherwise.”
“How about post-natal abortion?” Semkiw asked, running out of scenarios.
“If that’s the option then that’s the option,” the man answered. “I’m not advocating for murder of any kind — again, it’s not my choice.”

Oops, did he say “child”? Hmm….

All of the options are valid as long as I don’t have to take any responsibility for any child that I create.
Got it.
Yes, for every woman who regrets her abortion there are several people who regret what they said in defense of abortion.
Or, there should be.
I think the holes in this dude’s earlobes has caused some serious damage to his sense of reasoning.
C’mon Alex, don’t be a coward. We get it. You like to spout that narrative (crap) when you’re seeking a “relationship” with a lady that will ensure that you’re not on the hook for child support.
Then you reconsidered when you realized that there are many people in the society at large who have a more sensible, compassionate approach toward child killing. (They vehemently oppose it with righteous indignation.) And your conscience began chirping in your head, bearing witness to the truth that killing a child one day before his or her due date is heinous, demonic, heartless.
You’re not a man Alex. I pray that you come to your senses, repent, and become one.
All of the options are valid as long as I don’t have to take any responsibility for any child that I create. – show me where he said that.
Why is this guy even here? If it is the mother’s choice, and only the mother’s choice, and no one else has a voice that deserves to be heard — Then why is he here?
His voice is as worthless and silent as her child’s!
By his own reasoning, he has no right even to have an opinion… one way or the other. He insists that Canadians do not have any authority to urge protection or destruction of children. Only the mother can do that.
So why is he here?
Does he think that the women of Canada need him to show up with his vulgar cardboard sign, just so he can mansplain about abortion rights to some young women with a microphone and camera?
His rule means the loss of his own rights and authority. If the mother chooses to keep his child whom he wants to destroy, then he will be forced to pay a lifetime of support. If the mother chooses to kill his child whom he wants to keep, then his fatherhood is stolen and his child is murdered. Either way, he loses.
So why is he here?
The only calculus that makes any sense is this: He reckons that he would most likely want to avoid the child and supporting. And he reckons that he could influence the woman’s decision toward killing the child — as long as the laws of Canada make no effort to protect the child and the mother from his coercion.
Or perhaps he has already done so…. and he means to do it again. Some guys pay for several women’s abortions.
Thank you for showing up, Alex. Thank you for reminding us that we need to protect women and children from men like you.
As you said…an overwhelming primal urge to mansplain about abortion rights…for his own future benefit. And then afterward a second wave of mansplaining by requesting the withdraw of the video.
Can’t you see, Alex just wants everyone to be free…and doesn’t have issues with controlling others. Ha.
Abortion it the ultimate control of others and enables manipulation of women by men like Alex.
Its called bro-choice, Fantasy, abortion helps men who want responsibility free sex. Hope that helps you understand the comment a little more fully. Sarah Silverman helped coin that term in some of her pro-abortion exploits. What a sister! I think Kimmel divorced her shortly after.
Alex comes off rather tame compared to the Femen group that showed up to the protest the march.
