Tattoos and abortions

“To compare kids getting tattoos with young women who are the victims of rape, incest and sexual abuse shows just how insensitive and out of touch Joe Birkett is,” said [IL Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s spokeswoman Abby Ottenhoff.

… as quoted in today’s Daily Herald.
Birkett held a press conference yesterday announcing a petition drive to pressure the IL Supreme Court to come up with judicial bypass rules for an already-passed parental notification law.
Birkett took heat for “blast[ing] Democratic Blagojevich for vetoing a measure to lower the legal tattoo age from 21 to 18 to protect teens but supporting a 14-year-old being able to get an abortion without her parents knowing.”
The world is crazy I’m telling you, crazy.
