Like the poet said, “Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last. And when I am dying, how happy I’ll be, if the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee.”
I love that preacher’s passion. May we all be consumed with that same Fire to save the lost and serve the needy in our generation.

What a contrast with the “Editor’s Pick” from AskMen.com just below it.
The preacher is pouring out his heart, encouraging, pleading, imploring his congregation to live lives of sacrifice and redemption, the way Jesus showed us, for the lost hurting world around us. That is precisely what it means to be “conformed to His image” Ro 8.29
Than you’ve got askmen offering a solution to the prevailing question of our secular young people today: “How can I manipulate my dumb a**, knocked up girlfriend who was too stupid to take her birth control pill into killing the kid we made so I don’t have to take care of the little brat so I can go on living my selfish life, indulging every whim of my flesh with no consequences.”
One is the product of the cultivations of Heaven, the glorious result of the Potter’s work on a simple lump of clay. The other is a depiction of man’s godless, evil heart, conformed into the image of his father, satan himself, deserving of the wrath of God.
This is what I needed to hear today. Thank you for posting it. I could hear the passion in each word he spoke for saving souls for Christ. Wow. Thank you.
I believe the speaker was as concerned, if not more, for the body of Christ as he was for those who have not yet been born again into the kingdom of GOD.
Ask GOD to show you the body of Christ.
If HE does, you never again confuse the members of HIS body with that thing called ‘church’.
Come out from among her, my people.
For what would you exchange the kingdom of God?
Do not substitute knowing the ‘book’ for knowing HIM.
This is eternal life: Knowing HIM and the SON whom HE sent.
You diligently search the ‘book’ for HIM, but HE is standing in your midst.
HE is at your door and HE is knocking. If you will open the door, HE will enter in to your life and you will be born again of, by and through Holy Spirit.
Only then will it be possible for you to enter the kingdom of God in the here and now and in the age to come.
Once you have tasted of HIS goodness, you will not easily be tricked, deceived, fooled into following another.
If you are HIS sheep, then you will know HIS voice and you will not follow any other would be ‘shepherd’.
You will not need any other to teach you, for you will be taught of, by and through the LORD.
Your religious traditions have made the word of God null, void, of non-effect, impotent.
HE will not come to you in flowery words and rhetorical flourishes, but with a demonstration of the power of HIS love.
Run, run, run!
Not just away from things which do not satisfy, but run to HIM who gives life and life more abundantly, WHO gives you living water so that you thirst no more and the bread of life which comes down from heaven like HIS mercies, which are new every morning.
Yesterday’s bread will not be sufficient for today’s trials.
Ask, seek, knock and HE will give you your daily bread.
HIS name is Jesus.
