Charlie Gibson on latest ACORN scandal: “(laugh laugh) I don’t even know about it!”

This morning on WLS 890 AM, talk show hosts Don and Roma talked to ABC News’ Charlie Gibson about the hot ACORN funding story, and the Senate vote to cut off funding to ACORN. Gibson admitted he didn’t know anything about the scandal or the Senate vote.
Maybe Don and Roma should have turned the tables on Gibson as he did on Sarah Palin and ask him his thoughts about the “ACORN doctrine”?
I know this is hard to believe. Hear for yourself…

Jill Stanek is a nurse turned speaker, columnist and blogger, a national figure in the effort to protect both preborn and postborn innocent human life.
I love how he first tries to laugh it off as a non-issue, then say it’s too tawdry for the respectable networks, then finally discount it as just a “website” thing.
And they wonder why old media is dying a gruesome death?

I just said this to a friend of mine who posted the story on her FB status. Isn’t a professional journalist not being aware of a major news story (and then laughing about it)like a doctor leaving scissors inside a patient he’s operated on (and then laughing about it)? “Ooops! That one got by me!”
The fact that this story and the videos has gone viral on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc., means that it’s news. It’s what people are talking about/thinking about. It’s NEWS! Time for dear old Charlie to go back to Good Morning America and do segments on backyard grilling and dressing for your shape. Real journalism seems to be lost to him…of course now more conspiracy theories will abound. Anyone know if he has ACORN ties?? :)
