Pro-life video of the day: Dennis Miller mocks Jay Leno’s “war on women” meme
Comedian and political pundit Dennis Miller appeared on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno this week, schooling Jay in some of the basic ideals of conservatism.
Leno’s wife, Mavis, is a staunch abortion proponent, serving as the chair for the Feminist Majority Foundation’s Campaign for Afghan Women and Girls, an effort which includes pushing for the right to abortion.
If that’s not extreme enough, in 2005, Mavis Leno labeled both Terri Schiavo and preborn humans, “imaginary people”:
Our current conservative, religious government is obsessed with women on life support and with fetuses because they are imaginary people….
Watch Miller take on Jay’s questions regarding the 2012 campaign, including the so-called “war on women” and MO Rep. Todd Akin’s “legitimate rape” remarks:

Can Dennis run for something, please?
This was some of the most awesome tv I’ve ever seen!
Saw DM live at Wake Forest University in 1991–before his comiong over from the dark side. A funny man. Now he’s a funny man who speaks the truth.
I saw one of Dennis’ standup rants a few years ago and he unequivocally expressed his support for “choice”. I’ll pass on Dennis.
I think there’s hope for him, yet.
It’s funny watching Leno squirm his way through a rebuttal. I can just see him saying, “Yes, dear” to his wife’s rants at every party.
I always liked Dennis’ ending of his rants: “That’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.” With that attitude, there is always hope.
Women outlive men by 5-7 years.
Men are about 90% of those injured or killed on the job.
Young men are the ones drafted and sent into combat.
Men are the overwhelming majority of the homeless.
The “war on women” is an updated version of “the battle of the sexes.” Both are wrong even as metaphors. Men and women are a natural system with men bestowing several important privileges on women. The female enjoys a quite a few advantages.
Sandra Fluke a regular “Moan of Arc”? Gold.
I have always appreciated Leno’s ‘sense’ of humor.
He never seemed to take himself too seriously.
He was an equal opportunity sniper and his ammo was like one those non-lethal ‘bean bag’ guns the cops use for crowd control.
He was more interested in getting laughs than scoring political points.
Letterman, on the other hand is ‘mean’ and he has a distinct idiotology.
My favorite late nite funny guy Craig Ferguson.
Pretty sure that Dennis Miller is one of “those” who think abortion is a bad choice, but should be a woman’s choice nevertheless. I could be wrong.
Excellent stuff.
LifeJoy,
Yes, like Greg Gutfeld, Dennis is rather liberal socially, but not “demonstrably so”, whatever that might mean. I do hope they’ll see a little more of the light. They both see that the new lot they’ve thrown in with is much better behaved and make more sense then their Hollywood friends.
Good point as usual, Hans Johnson. Not all conversions happen overnight. But I think he likes to ride the fence for the larger range of jokes.
