Pro-death Ted Turner is pro-life on cannibalism
Let’s break down Charlie Rose’s April 1 interview with media mogul Ted Turner. First, watch the 1 minute clip:
Turner staked all predictions and solutions for the earth’s future on 2 myths: human generated global warming caused by human global overpopulation….
Turner said the latter caused the former, and the former if left unchecked will result in a global temperature increase of 8 degrees within 30-40 years, resulting in cannibalism.
I gather Turner at present opposes cannibalism, although he may want to reconsider since it would certainly help bring the global population down from 6.5 billion to his ideal: 2 billion.
How does Turner propose lowering the global population? In 1997 Turner created the United Nations Foundations public charity with a $1 billion donation. Part of UNF’s focus is “full access to comprehensive reproductive and sexual health care services and information.”
Along with contraception, this includes abortion.
(As an aside, man, I just learned a little shocker. UNF funds RH Reality Check. Scroll down this link and click on, “Promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Sound Information.”)
So to avoid a world full of born people killing born people, Turner supports born people killing preborn people.
The father of 5 also supports a global one child per family policy.
Turner considers it “suicidal” not to kill preborn people.

Go Ted! It’s nice to see some philanthropy intelligently designed to help humanity save itself from itself.
Even if Ted’s numbers are off by a digit or two, he is still on the right track.
I cant help but think how tough and stringy Hanoi Hannah would be ….
Could we please have this man committed?
Ray… I agree with you most of the time dude, but I hope you’re being sarcastic here.
he’s allowed to have 5 kids, but no one else is?
Why, because he’s rich? Because he’s better than you, me, and anyone else with reproductive organs?
And what exactly are his qualifications for knowing how to save us from ourselves better than anyone else?
Thats not being Pro Choice. Thats saying “because my ego is swollen to the point of being certifiably insane, I think I have the right to use my money/fame to dictate how people should live… except me of course, I can do whatever I want. I’m SPECIAL.”
The ONLY thing he’s right about is global warming. If we don’t stop acting like pollution is a liberal conspiracy, we’re going to be taking our daily jogs in gas masks before too long and having a 365 day hurricane season. But I don’t think population reduction is the only solution. Its not all about how many of us there are, its the way we all live and treat our homes.
Oh my. Ted looks like a young Colonel Sanders.
Janet, our only hope is that Mr. Turner dies very soon.
Unfortunately, people like him seem to live forever……

Typical ‘christian’ attitude –
Whoop woop, go Amanda.
(Some people are more “equal” than others…)
Ted Turner:
Pathetic.
He’s proof that God has a sense of humor.
Well I know some of you will just be crushed about this, but this board is about to be Amanda-Free for over 2 weeks. I leave Saturday morning for my trip.
Here is my itinerary:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=112651232344367448507.000449f9ea34995c0dfaf
Anyone need me to pick them up something in Marrakech?
Hopefully nothing too exciting will happen in two weeks that I’ll miss out on commenting on. =)
“He’s proof that God has a sense of humor.”
So is the hippopotamus.
Whatever Bobby those things are AWESOME!
TR:
You got a soft spot for Ted or something?
And you of all people are least able to judge any type of “Christian” attitude.
“Whatever Bobby those things are AWESOME!”
Well okay, I believe you, but I mean, they’re just so silly looking!
People may think Ted’s clueless, but then again…
How many of you know about a “demographic winter”?
I’ve done preliminary research on it – seems to make sense and though I’m not completely sold on the catastrophic predictions, there’s no doubt the pro-abortive Western Civilization, like France, Spain and Greece are being profoundly impacted in their demographic makeup. At the very least it will change the audience of CNN (to Al-Jazeera?)
The other thing to consider is, if the US had the aborted population (from 1973) with us, and you took into account their children etc… how would that have affected our own demographics, and the incoming illegal immigrants?
That’s an untold side-effect of abortion that many forget. It’s not merely one child that’s being killed, but an untold number. You have to run several iterations of propagation to see the impact, which is what we are beginning to see across societal generations in nations.
For instance Russia’s abortion rate (and poor surgical procedures) have created an inverse where the rate of abortions exceeds the number of live births by a quarter of a million per year. Overall the general Russian population is declining at a rate equal to the city of Kiev per year.
That leaves a rather large strategic opening for those immigrant groups who believe in life and large families. ;-)
I’ve never forgiven Ted Turner for colorizing movies that were intended to be seen in black and white just because he wanted them to be in color.

Oh no!! White people aren’t breeding enough! We’re going to be swamped by those icky brown people! What will we do!?!?
An April 20, 2001 wire service story describes the reasons for the divorce:
Fonda’s divorce papers, however, were filed on the same day the New Yorker published an interview with Turner in which the 62-year-old media mogul said he and Fonda split up partly because of her decision to become a Christian.
“She just came home and said ‘I’ve become a Christian,’ ” Turner told the magazine. “Before that, she was not a religious person. That’s a pretty big change for your wife of many years to tell you. That’s a shock.”
Replied Fonda: “My becoming a Christian upset him very much–for good reason. He’s my husband and I chose not to discuss it with him–because he would have talked me out of it. He’s a debating champion.”
Turner–an atheist who previously questioned whether prohibiting adultery should’ve been one of the 10 Commandments–also acknowledged that he had become suicidal after his breakup with Fonda, and after losing of control over Turner Broadcasting when AOL Time Warner was reorganized.
“I felt like Job,” he told the magazine. Turner’s own father, Ed Turner, killed himself when Ted was 24.
..Ted Turner:
“I was looking at this woman and I was trying to figure out what was on her forehead,” said the founder of the Cable News Network, during a retirement party for anchorman Bernard Shaw. Looking around, Turner realized it was Ash Wednesday and several other Catholics were standing nearby.
“What are you, a bunch of Jesus freaks?”, he asked. “You ought to be working for Fox.”
There was nothing particularly shocking about the latest statement from the vice chairman of AOL Time Warner, Inc. After all, the Mouth of the South has previously said that Christianity is “for losers,” pro-lifers are Bozos and the pope is a Polish idiot. Perhaps he was shocked to see signs of Lenten repentance in his newsroom and he was caught off guard.
..
Rejecting God and the biblical concept of creation, Turner argues that we have evolved from a lower form of life and that

Hiero,
He’s saying we’d be in the opposite situation if there was no legal abortion. And who said anything about “icky b..p…”?
Wow…my brain just exploded from that crap-tacular logic on his part.
How could anybody take this dimwit seriously?
Hey, anyone want to put in about this?
http://www.local6.com/news/15773787/detail.html
@Erin: Wow.
How the hell do they get “drinking bleach” and preventing AIDS in the same sentence? Do teenagers lack common sense and logic or what? Jiminy…
Yes, blame abstinence ed for that…
Amanda: Have you been to Morocco before?
Carrie – no, this is my first time. =)
Amanda: The closest I have come to Morocco is watching a Rick Steves episode. Seems like a fascinating place from what I can tell.
Jasper: Rejecting God and the biblical concept of creation, Turner argues that we have evolved from a lower form of life and that

Have a nice trip Amanda, are you taking the Marrakesh express?

I’m still sticking to my earlier post about Ted Turner in light of further “evidence” put forth by other posters on this thread,
the sooner we can hurry dear old Ted along to his JUST reward, all the better as far as I’m concerned
after all if he’s right and there is no God, what’s the problemo?
And my attitude is very Christian TR, I just want to limit the immense damage Mr Turner has done and see that he corrupts as few souls as possible in this life….
The hippopotamus is a KILLING MACHINE.
Told ya Bobby!!
UGH Youtube just took one of my videos off. Kiss it youtube. It was a friggin spanish project.
Oh yes…Ted Turner. Another idiot millionaire who because of his wealth, considers himself an authority on world affairs, humanity, and what is best for mankind.
Spare me. He was married to that OTHER imbecille Jane Fonda.
Bobby: but I mean, they’re (hippopotamuses) just so silly looking!
Dude, you ought to hear what they say about us….
Mike, one thing that was really bad, IMO, that I think there’s no forgiving Jane Fonda for, happened when she went to North Vietnam.
Some of what she did I put down to being young, foolish, misguided, etc., and to this day there is still much wrangling about it online.
What really bums me out is that a few of the American prisoners wanted her to pass word on to their families that they were alive, etc. No big conspiracy, no evil, capitalistic plot for her to be involved in, just “tell my mom I’m hear,” – that kind of stuff.
Rather than comply with the prisoners’ wishes, Jane tells the North Vietnamese captors that the men tried to get word out through her, for which they were further “punished.”
Sheesh….
Jasper, (“Marrakesh Express”)
Take the train from Casablanca going south,
Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my mouth
Sounds like a party… ; )
Looking at the world through the sunset in your eyes,
Traveling the train through clear Moroccan skies.
Ducks and pigs and chickens call,
Animal carpet wall to wall
What?! No hippos? No mention of lemmings? Too scared to tell the truth about sheep?
Doug: Wow! I didn’t know that. I wonder how she can sleep at night.
I wonder how much torture those men had to endure because of what Jane Fonda did. I don’t think that I’ll ever be able to look at her in the same way again.
Amanda, awesome trip you have there. I’ve gone to Amsterdam to start things off several times, since for awhile it was always Northwest Airlines, and their Detroit – Amsterdam flights were the deal.
Never been to Africa but I love Spain. My wife and I have done similar journeys to the one you’re doing, but we also are getting more into just finding a nice place and hanging out there for a while.
On our honeymoon we went to Italy and Sicily, and did about 10 different places in two weeks, practically hippopotamic in our thirst for conquest. Two years later we cut it down to 7 places (Italy again) but it’s still a lot of moving around.
Tonight we go to Argentina and we’re almost entirely just going to do whatever we feel like on a given day. Buenos Aires, Uruguay is right there, one day at an estancia – a touristy ranch/spa type place, just check out the local sights, food & wine.
The darn country is 3200 miles long anyway….
Bon Voyage,
Doug
Carrie, I think Jane was against the war, against US involvement, etc. She probably thought she wasn’t going to do anything to help the US side – too bad it went so far.

Yes, HisMan I AM able to judge on christian attitudes – and you are a great example of NOT having one. And saying that she wished someone would die was a good example of an unchristian attitude as well. People like you remind me why I realized I wanted nothing to do with religion.
“I’ve never forgiven Ted Turner for colorizing movies that were intended to be seen in black and white just because he wanted them to be in color.

I’ve got to agree there, the man was an idiot for just that reason.
In one colorized movie they gave Frank Sinatra brown eyes … now thats just not right
Oh, right…Jane Fonda is a Christian.
Sure she is.
All new Christians take part in the Vagina Monologues.
She and her ex, both make me want to puke.
I can’t decide which one of them is worse.
