Homer Simpson could sanction underage abortions
Yesterday I discussed how the “clergy” loophole in parental notification legislation would allow hired abortion industry “clergy” to bless abortions or any liberal “clergy” member, or actually anyone at all who took five minutes to be ordained online.
Today, I have another suggestion. Abortion mills could call Homer Simpson!
Readers may recall that in 2005 Homer was himself ordained online after learning he could get $200 for marrying people. This is about the going rate I imagine "clergy" hired by Planned Parenthood get for blessing abortions.

Do you have any evidence that Planned Parenthood hires clergy to do abortion counseling? Because as far as Ive ever known, any clergy who are active in Planned Parenthood are VOLUNTEERS.

The point is that anyone can be a minister. Here, go get your own ordination. Now, does that make you more-qualified to help people decide whether or not to abort? Why or why not?

It will be interesting to consider how many people we know of, or have heard of, that based some aspects of their life on fictional characters. How many of us imitate our movie heroes? How many times do we repeat the jokes on TV? How many times do we start a sentence with, “I was watching TV the other day and…” Don’t we all?

How about this? When my husband married his first wife the “clergy” who, quite legally, presided over the marriage was a tattoo artist who worked with my husband (also a tattoo artist) and had been ordained online. Which makes the question of clergy allowing other procedures for minors very relevant — would it be ok with you if your 12 year old daughter could get Tophat John’s permission for a tattoo without asking you? I mean, he’s clergy and all.
I’m sorry, my husband just corrected me. I was thinking of Tiger John, he was an artist. Tophat John, who married my husband and his first wife, was only training to be a piercer. My husband also reminded me about our friend Jay Hova 4×4 (he had his name legally changed, I don’t know what it was before) is legally ordained by the Church of the SubGenius. Because, if you’re going to do something, you should do it correctly, Jill. It disturbs me how poorly you reflect upon the pro-life movement. If I were to base my opinion of the pro-life movement on you entirely, I would say, “Wow, they are just a bunch of ignorant, psychotic idiots who have never seen what the real world is like.” Do you really want people to think that about you and your movement, Jill?
If you’re going to present yourself as a leader of a movement, you should at least try to be respectful of those who disagree with you. You are not. If you are going to present yourself as a leader of a movement, you should show that you take yourself and your work seriously. Your ridiculous articles are proof that you do not take yourself or your work seriously. So, again, why should anyone take you seriously, if you do not even take yourself seriously?

Well, anyone can become a parent — and that doesn’t mean that parenthood is a load of crap. some parents are pretty lousy, just like some clergymen are pretty lousy. But that doesn’t make the institution of parenthood — or religion — in general any the worse for it. If anything, it shows simply that people are abusive of social realities — including freedom.

Also, wasn’t training to be a piercer, I played in a band that was close the owner of Instant Karma, a bar across the street and was a friend of your husband. At the time, i was only 18 when I performed the service and I’d never give permission for a minor to get a tattoo. :)
