Denver Planned Parenthood “on budget”?
My post earlier today about the newly opened Denver Planned Parenthood referred to PP CEO Leslie Durgin who stated the building was “on budget”.
Wait, not so fast, unless “on budget” means a 50% cost overrun.
Projected budget when this story first broke last August:

And two newspaper accounts within the last two weeks on the actual cost:

Jill Stanek once again proves that she is THE source for accurate information and the best research around! Great job Jill!
PP lied. Again.
Hey, what do you expect from people who deal out wholesale death to the unborn everyday?
This does not surprise me at all Jill.
Where’s the accoutability to the US taxpayer for this?
To think that this organization is funded by us that’s US, it absolutely sickening.
You have no idea what the buget was, whether their “on budget,” or anything else. Did they endorse the original published amount? Is report of the new higher amount accurate? They might have addeed $2 million in upgrades and are now perfectly “on budget.” who cares anyway?
Anon (which I know was a mistake; I know you know anonymous posts aren’t allowed… :), whoops, I forgot to give Will Duffy the hat tip for this news. I didn’t make the discovery.
Hal, it wasn’t us that made a big deal out of this. It was PP. And PP lied.
Btt you don’t know enough to know there is a lie. They say it it’s on budget. Based on a news report you say that they’re lying. Maybe, but maybe not.
Hal, the newspapers didn’t pull those numbers out of thin air. PP gave them the #s last year and this year. $2 million is quite a spread. You’ve got a mighty tough bubble to burst.

……………………………..
Spending more on building projects than originally projected is not lying about anything. It is an exceedingly common occurance in both private and government projects.
You can udoubtedly thank the Will Duffys for increased expenditures in security.
Thanks Will Duffy!!
Thanks for opposing evil.
Thanks for telling the Weitz executives that you
care enough to warn them they are headed for
hell.
Thanks for putting your heart and soul out there for the
babies – our nation’s posterity!
Great work, Will!
Nice catch on the math, and great work with the Collaborators besides!
And great work warding Walsh Construction off the Portland project, thanks to what they learned Weitz people were suffering through!
And, as the Weitz people are finding to their dismay, we’re not done protesting them…
This has got to be one of the most successful anti-abortion projects ever!
Bob
“this was the most successful anti-abortion project ever!” Bob Kyffin
Bob Kyffin is the new “Baghdad Bob” (remember the press secretary for Saddam Hussein who insisted the Americans were being defeated during the first days of the Iraq War?)
The Denver PP project was completed 90 days early and under budget (despite Will Duffy’s and Jill’s desperate efforts to mislead).
One memorable post from the past likened Jill and Joe Scheidler to a “speed bump” in the way of the Aurora IL PP project. By contrast, Will Duffy was a turbo boost for the Denver project.
Portland PP should hire Will Duffy to picket contractors to speed up their project.
As for Walsh Construction, they had better develop some, uh, courage if they expect to survive in the construction business.
Bottom line is Weitz and their subs stood tall, and Will Duffy’s attempts to slow the project was a laughable failure. Will’s and Jill’s attempt to “spin” it into a success are a joke.
Now Will is having a tantrum, because he and his “project” failed. Boo Hoo. Get a job.
This has got to be one of the most successful anti-abortion projects ever!

In what possible way is this true???? Were any abortions prevented?
