Sunday extra: Trig wishes he’d been aborted
Liberal Wonkette apparently thinks Sarah Palin’s son Trig, who has Down syndrome, finds life is so embarrassing he wishes Mom would have taken the advice of her doctor and aborted him.
Don’t know which was worse, the post (which was snipped to delete ads) or the comments, the first few of which I’m also posting…
[HT: Newsbusters.org via reader Andy L.]
Sickening. The liberals really are a compassionate bunch aren’t they? *sigh*
It’s pretty obvious the liberal feminists (NOW etc.) were never for supporting women – just liberalism. Palin brought out their true colors.
there was a great little CNN special this morning on parents being pressured by the medical team to abort their down’s baby– Check it out Jill..it is a good one…
I will say this.. From the MD perspective, they are under educated on how to inform families of the positive things a disabled child can bring…It would be great to get more parent to parent groups that can help families in their new diagnosis…
However, the special talked about how most Down’s children need Early Childhood thearpies, ect, ect.. and I know alot of families that have difficulty getting these therapies b/c of insurance issues, and they have to use the poor state programs…
Anyway– it may be worth a posting on your site, I thought the family interviews were great..
It was on CNN this morning..
These liberal Obama supporters are quite a bunch arn’t they…
Matt: I totally agree. I’ve said this before and again I state, Palin has drawn out the face of US feminism: bitter, baby-hating, bile-spewing women who hate their bodies and hate men too.
I use to think these bra-burning women were just nuts, but they’ve become truly vile creatures who have forgotten their dignity as women and are willing to sacrifice anyone even their unborn babies in the name of “equality”.
If Obama gets in these creeps will rule the US and it will be Halloween all the time.
Re: Allie B’s post about therapy. Two of my kids have used Child and Family Connections (the IL State Early Intervention program) and it is excellent. It’s actually covered by my HMO, but even if it wasn’t the State would cover it. I pay $30 a month (this is based on income and family size). I can’t speak for the State programs elsewhere, but I want to put in a good word for IL’s Early Intervention just in case anyone in IL was discouraged about their prospects!
Allie B I’m glad you’ve posted so positively.
My daughter is considering med school. She’s only 16 but is working on her chems and bio courses now.
Wonkette must have been picked on as child – so now she feels the need to pick on a baby – what a tough girl –
I’m sure she’s glad she wasn’t aborted – aren’t we all –
It makes me wonder if she had a brother or sister that had DS and others were making fun of him/her – if she’d join right in –
This election is about alot of stuff but the core is CHARACTER – of which the liberals like Wonk and the Obama, Biden and Pelosi trika have absolutely none- and venturing to say anyone who votes for Obama has none as well..
It’s pretty sad when my 3 year old DD can look at a picture of Obama and say “That’s Barack Obama, he says it’s ok to kill babies but it’s not.” Pretty much sums it up.
Most DS children and adults (one of which is 53 years old and I’ll see her this morning at church) are such geniune sweet spirited people but I’ll give Trig a pass in the future if he decides to put these jerks in their place.
The spirit of anti-Christ is everywhere being released against life, against the family, against love.
Please pary and fast until the election to counter this extreme evil.
2 Chronicles 7:13-15 13 “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”
Ok, Feminists, what are Gov. Palin’s options here. What would you approve of?
Had she had an abortion you would be screaming about her hypocracy.
Had she had the baby and kept him put away somewhere with some nanny you would scream about how she wasn’t being a good mom.
Basically the only thing you think is appropriate for a mother of a disabled child to do is to stay at home with him. Doesn’t that go against everything you say you support?
You’re bitter because Gov. Palin is the embodiment of a woman who has it all and she didn’t have to kill her children to do it. This points out that all the abortion rhettoric were lies and you bought into it hook, line, and sinker.
I was my mother’s first child. Then came my sister. She was followed by three more brothers. She wanted a sister, so one day, Mom put a dress on the youngest brother, who was not much more than a baby at the time. Pretending he was a girl, they showed him off to my teacher-father’s class at school! Eventually my sister did get her wish; the youngest in the family is also a girl.
Why are you all hollering about “teh feminists”?? You do realize that Wonkette is not a feminist site, right? It’s political satire.
And you did notice that post above was put up by a guy? You can see his name right there on the screencap, Jim Newell.
Curious, becuase we have heard all of thes arguments from the feminist left. Well, to their credit they weren’t usually as vile, but the basic message was the same. Palin should have aborted or stayed home, and she had no business bringing Trig on the campaign trail.
As for Wonkette, he’s like totally so edgy and cool, and it is soo kickin’ rad to make fun of disabled children. LOL COMEDY GOLD!11!
Illinois does have a good Early Childhood Program— However, Texas, Arkansas and many of the other states fail incredibley… I have worked for years now in the southern states..(I started out in Illinois) and I really wish we could see the same support everywhere…
However.. We do have a problem with how families are approached on the issues of raising a special needs child.. Many medical folks…don’t support the family in making the decision that will sway them to have the child and fight for the special needs they have… And many MDs are so uncomfortable with delivering bad news, it comes out so negative many young parents are so freaked out they feel they only have one choice…
My son created this web site:

My hope that this USAF Academy Graduate, Iraq War combat pilot veteran, is being groomed by God to be a U. S. Senator, to restore godly leadership to our country.
Aw I think Trig looks just adorable : ) I’m glad I got to see such a cute picture. Although in all honesty I would have dressed him up as a chipmunk.
I do agree that that’s a pretty lame costume. C’mon…he could be spiderman…or a ghost…seriously, what kid thinks it’s cool to be an elephant for Halloween?
What kid Trig’s age thinks about being “cool”? He looks big enough for solid food now, or else all he thinks about is milk and mommy and things to put in his mouth.
Jess and Erin:
Do us all a favor. Why don’t you both leave this blog for good and go post your inane comments on the wonkette site?
Jess made a relevant and kind comment, Hisman. On this thread anyway. Erin’s isn’t too bad, either. You must be thinking of their comments on another thread.
Erin, my baby was a banana this year because her name is Anna and I call her my “anna banana” and I thought it would make a cute picture. I don’t think she gave much thought to it. :)
I didn’t mean it offensively or anything. I think he’s adorable, I just think that he could have had a more adorable costume :-/
And Jess, don’t you mean a hamster??
Ahahaha, that’s awesome, lauren. Elizabeth has some AMAZINGLY ADORABLE pictures of Gabriella as a fairy.
Curious, becuase we have heard all of thes arguments from the feminist left. Well, to their credit they weren’t usually as vile, but the basic message was the same. Palin should have aborted or stayed home, and she had no business bringing Trig on the campaign trail.
Lauren, what feminist leftists made this argument? I’d be interested to know, because I haven’t seen it. On the other hand, a rather prominent right-wing female radio personality did make those arguments you are referring to:
http://www.drlaurablog.com/2008/09/02/sarah-palin-and-motherhood/
I do agree that that’s a pretty lame costume. C’mon…he could be spiderman…or a ghost…seriously, what kid thinks it’s cool to be an elephant for Halloween?
I was an elephant for Halloween when I was 5 because that’s what I asked for. I guess some kids think elephants are cool :-)
My mother made the costume for me, and I was pretty darned adorable if I do say so myself…
Lol, I apologize, then curious. I suppose I can’t really talk, when I was 5 and my brother was 3 we both went as M&Ms.
Apparently you haven’t made the elephant/Republican connection?
Look, if I ever read either Jess or Erin make one positive comment about anything Jill posts, I would eat my keyboard.
This is a serious website.
It can make the difference between a mother killing her child and saving both their lives or a mother killing her child and destroying both their lives.
I suggest that whoever posts on this site do so with only sacred intent.
Oh, HisMan. For the sake of your blood pressure and your mental health, LIGHTEN UP! Be a happy man! Life is beautiful!
HisMan,
God Bless your son. We need more young men like him… they seem to be in short supply these days..
How can people be so cruel and vile? God help us all and have mercy on us!
Thanks Jasper:
If the Lord doesn’t come back soon I hope someday that he will be a US Senator.
OffTheRecord- what the hell is that about.
“I hate it when people like babies.”
…..what? You actually admit that?
You’re bitter because Gov. Palin is the embodiment of a woman who has it all and she didn’t have to kill her children to do it. This points out that all the abortion rhettoric were lies and you bought into it hook, line, and sinker.

no, what these women are upset about is that Gov Palin’s lifestyle makes it quite clear – she doesn’t need or want the right to abortion. Some feminists (not many, but a few) are beginning to get the message and while the wheels and cogs in their tiny miniscule brains are beginning to grind again, they are thinking about it – slowly, carefully.
HisMan,
Seriously, you can cut all the dramatics. Jess and Erin were being sweet and I didn’t see anything rude or offensive in their comments. I know you’re all wound up because the election is in a couple days but go take some Xanax or SOMETHING. Or breathe into a paper bag. It really will help.
Lauren: I think you child’s costume must have been sweet -Anna banana!
My youngest went out as a clown using last years mask. We don’t get too into the costume stuff – it’s too expensive.
We have a “tickle trunk” based on Mr. Dressup’s show with second hand clothes etc that the girls make up their costumes from.
Okay, I’m not so big on using the poor kid to portray a political symbol, but my gods, it’s adorable anyway. Kids dressing up as bebe animals are adorable anyway.
Yeah, I really really loathe Palin, but she’s stuck in an awkward position here. If she left her kids with a nanny, she’s a bad mother; if she takes them with her, she’s a bad mother. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with the latter, but I might be in a minority here.
Obviously Hisman you don’t get the Chipmunk/Republican connection.
Hey, if you want to listen to a PUMA pro-mccain conference call to see where they stand call in here.

I don’t think Palin is a bad mother. I think she’s sinking as far as animal rights are concerned but yeah, I think she’s doing a good job raising them considering the circumstances. It must be an excellent oppertunity for her children to be on this campaign.
Jess: I don’t think there’s a huge animal rights voter base in the US, but I could be mistaken.
Patricia, not like it matters!
Well I love all the animals and I care about them.
How Would Jesus Vote?
Opinion by Jack Kelley
“But as for you who forsake the LORD and forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny, I will destine you for the sword, and you will all bend down for the slaughter; for I called but you did not answer, I spoke but you did not listen. You did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me.” (Isaiah 65:11-12)
For most of America’s history there’s been a direct connection between patriotism and faith, probably because the US was founded as a Christian nation. We’ve always believed that God has watched over us, made us prosperous, and been on our side in the wars we’ve fought.
That connection began to unravel in the 1960’s, but it’s surprising the number of people who still believe that if seems to be good for the country, it must be right. This is true even among believers. According to recent Barna polls, 48% of those likely to vote in the coming election are born again Christians. That means they claim to have made a personal commitment to Jesus and believe they will go to heaven because they have confessed their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. These same polls show that nearly half of them will vote for the candidate they think has the best plan for restoring America’s reputation in the world and managing the economic battles that lie ahead, rather than the one who they think will best uphold the Biblical principles they believe. So if only half the voters are believers, and half of them plan to use worldly standards in making their choice rather than Biblical ones, it follows that only 1 in every 4 voters will be exercising any spiritual discernment at all in casting their vote.
The other 3 are using standards like peace, financial security, tolerance, choice, and so on as their guidelines. They don’t realize that only God can restore peace and security to their lives, and tolerance and choice are just nice sounding words that really stand for rebellion against Him. By not considering His standards in casting their vote, they’re guaranteeing that He won’t be helping them get what they want.
What’s At Stake Here?
In the opinion of expert observers, this election could bring about fundamental change in America. Depending on the victor, we could see the last traces of the Judeo-Christian principles that have guided us in the past disappear. Restraints on behavior that God is clearly against could be removed, and prohibitions against behavior that God desires could be imposed. Parents may no longer have the ultimate say in raising or educating their children. The relationship between effort and reward could become unrecognizable. Those with the greatest ability could wind up supporting those with the greatest need. In the name of peace we could make self defense impossible. The list goes on.
If all this comes to pass, believers will be forgiven for their lack of discernment and whisked away in the rapture before things get too bad. After all, obedience to God’s word isn’t the basis for our inclusion in the Church, it’s our belief that the Lord died to save us from our sins. But the unbelieving majority will come to understand the meaning of the Isaiah passage above more clearly than they ever dreamed possible. Everyone in the Great Tribulation will have it rough, but I think that those who rebel as blatantly as people are being called to do in this election will have it especially bad. After all, look at the blessings they’ve enjoyed by being part of a Christian nation, and the light they’ve been shown because of our religious heritage. The Lord called but they didn’t answer. He spoke but they didn’t listen. They will have done evil in His sight by choosing what displeases Him, and He will destine them for the sword.
We know that all these things will eventually come to pass, that it’s only a matter of time. There’s no Scripture anywhere to persuade us otherwise. But it’s quite possible that in this election America will choose a course of action that will accelerate our downfall. We will have forsaken the Lord and His Holy Mountain.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been encouraging us all to accept a giant paradigm shift, to realize that this is not our home. I’ve been saying that we need to start thinking more about our real home and getting ready to go there. We need to distinguish between our love for our county and our love for God. As good as this country has been, it’s no where near as good as where we’re going. Like Abraham we’re looking forward to the city with foundations whose architect and builder is God (Hebrews 11:10). And the bottom line is that regardless of who wins this election, America will soon be a far different country than it has been.
So this could very well be the last presidential election we’ll ever vote in. It’s time to realize that we really don’t belong in any political party. No matter how we’ve thought of ourselves in the past, the reality is that as Christians we’re monarchists and we await our coming King. Since our fondest desire is to please Him, we should vote the way we think He would want us to. And remember, we’re not voting for someone, and we’re not voting against something, we’re voting in a way that pleases our Lord.
So, how would Jesus vote? He would vote for life, He would vote to uphold His Father’s Word, and He would make His vote count. Can we do anything less? Selah 11-01-08
I don’t know why anyone thinks that caring for animals and caring for the unborn have to be mutually exclusive.
Posted a letter to Obama about abortion on my blog. Want to share.
pip: true!
and I don’t think that caring for unborn and animals should be mutually exclusive. I killed a raccoon with my car a few weeks back – it was nasty. I felt bad….for about 5 mins. But I would obviously have NOT hit that darn coon.
Thank you for sharing your story Tiffany. That took a great deal of courage. I am sorry for your loss.

Hisman,
I also hope your son becomes a Senator. I have six children, my eldest four who are able to express their opinion are very much pro-life. I hope one day they an opportunity to vote for your son.

Drama times two now Maureen. I am going to add fasting from now until the elction is over. Thanks for inspiration Hisman.
I think I may fast from the Internet at least tomnorrow. I fear what may happen to this country if BHO is elected.
Tiffany *hugs* I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your story with us. And I wish Senator Obama could read your letter.
Way to keep it classy, libs.
(That doesn’t sound like something a pro-abort would say, is it?)
fasting is very good truthseeker! Very efficacious!

Ok, Let’s all pray for Obama’s victory and the return of decency and competence to the White House. Amen.
Hal, I’m afraid that your pray petitions are mutually exclusive! LOL
decency and competence? Are you trying to make us gag? I don’t want redistribution of wealth to those who CAN work but don’t work.
And the FOCA bill would certainly doom this country.
a A FINAL PLEA FOR YOUR VOTE!.
Please forward this to everyone on your email list including family, friends, co-workers, relatives and so on!

Liz, seriously, calm down. Read it in context and try to understand all the words, even the bigger ones. The Republicans are trying to make you afraid of Middle of the Road Obama. Palin has said similar things, should we go nuts?
In an interview with The New Yorker last summer Palin explained that she would make demands of a new gas pipeline “to maximize benefits for Alaskans”:
“And Alaska we’re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it’s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs.”
Come on now, Hal — it is widely known that Obama is left of most dems in the Senate.
Dear Tiffany,
Thank you for linking to your abortion story. I have a similar story. If you click on my name you can read it in the right sidebar of my blog.
Your Grace is with my Aubrey in heaven. :)
Obama is the most liberal of the senators in the US Senate. That’s not middle of the road. That’s bordering on Dangerous.
***A FINAL PLEA FOR YOUR VOTE!***
If you watched the final debate you were probably relieved that John McCain finally got to discuss some of the issues that really matter and you felt he did a pretty good job of it, even won the debate. Then if you listened to the pundits, it turns out that you were wrong. His demeanor was not acceptable, Barack Obama was smooth and cool, McCain just didn’t measure up. What were we thinking of?
People have eyes. We know when a man is speaking sincerely from his heart and when somebody is obfuscating, dodging, ducking and yes, lying. It turns out that we have a man running for President of the United States who could not pass a security check to be a member of his own Secret Service detail. The media want us to believe that its over. Obama has it all wrapped up. Don’t you believe it. The polls are tightening (for what they’re worth). I still believe that they use the polls to drive opinion rather than to reflect opinion. The mainstream media has disgraced itself in its total lack of professionalism and the constant cheerleading for Senator Obama.
There are good people of faith all over America, praying as they have never prayed before that God’s will will prevail in this election. Do not be discouraged. Do not give up. Every election is about TURNOUT, but even more so this year. Be your own little private phone bank. Call your neighbors to see if they need a ride to the polls. Offer to babysit for your grandkids so their parents can vote. Call your family and friends, remind them how important this election is. Get out the vote!!
If you are still unconvinced of the radicalism of Senator Obama’s position on abortion, I’m not sure what more I can tell you. Or maybe you agree that he will ensure that millions of more babies will be killed and that his Supreme Court appointees will enshrine abortion into our Constitution for years to come. But maybe you just can’t get past the economic issues. Surely people who vote pocketbook over principles will answer for that some day. However, let’s do a brief tutorial on financial issues. It seems to me that every citizen should be required to take at least one course in basic economics so that the politicians can not spend millions of dollars lying to us and no one knows enough to refute their arguments.
TAXES UNDER CLINTON/TAX CUTS UNDER BUSH
Single making 30K – $8,400/Single making 30K – $4,500
Single making 50K – $14,000/Single making 50K – $12,500
Single making 75K – $23,250/Single making 75K – $18,750
Married making 60K – $16,800/Married making 60K – $9,000
Married making 75K – $21,000/Married making $75K – $18,750
Married making 125K – $38,750/Married making 125K –
Do you see a pattern here? Senator McCain wants to keep the Bush tax cuts in place. Senator Obama wants to let them expire. It was not just the wealthiest people who received tax cuts. Everyone, all the way down the line received a tax cut. Now Senator Obama wants to raise taxes on those making over $250K, or $200K, or $150K, or $120K depending on who is doing the talking. He also plans to raise capital gains taxes, reinstate the death tax, and raise taxes on businesses (who pass them on to their customers with higher prices or by laying off a few employees). His claim to give 95% of the people a tax cut (after raising their taxes by letting their current rate expire) is simply not possible because 40% of Americans don’t even pay a cent of income tax.
Of course they pay payroll taxes, and sales taxes. Everybody does that, in addition to the dozens of other taxes that people in the higher incomes pay. In fact, the top 10% of earners in the United States pay 70% of all the income taxes. So how is Barack Obama going to give a tax cut to the people who don’t pay any taxes? By sending them a check from the government. That would be taking from the people who have worked hard to live the American dream and giving to the people who have been taught to depend on the government. Basically welfare.
Senator McCain’s Health Plan is based on theseTax Brackets:
10% – Up to $15,000
15% – $15,000 – $63,700 25% – $63,700 – $128,500 33% – $195,850 – $349,700 35% – $349, 700 and over
The more you earn the higher your tax rate is. Therefore when there is a tax cut, the wealthier people receive more money back because they have paid more money in. This doesn’t seem like a such a difficult concept to understand. Then why all this class warfare and envy? It is not good for our country and it is not good for the people who are being made to believe they are victims, somehow. Here is how it works.
BAR STOOL ECONOMICS
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this.
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. “Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.” Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men – the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his “fair share?”
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay. And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings). The sixth man now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings). The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28% savings). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men begain to compare their savings.
“I only got a dollar out of the $20,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, “but he got $10.”
“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I!”
“That’s true!!” shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute, ” yelled the first four men in unison. “We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
Davd R. Kamerschen, Ph.D.Professor of Economics
“You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than income. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatreds. You cannot establish security on borrowed money. You cannot build character and courage by taking away a man’s initiative and independence. You cannot help a man permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves. In all that people can do for themselves, government ought not to interfere.” Abraham Lincoln
No wonder Senator Obama’s answer to Joe, the Plumber, that he wanted to “spread the wealth around” has resonated throughout the country. That is the reason his past associations are so significant. He was mentored from the age of ten to eighteen by Frank Marshall Davis, an admitted communist poet in Hawaii (who was on the watch list for years by our FBI). His mother was openly Marxist. His community organizer activities in Chicago were meant to create unrest in the poor, African American neighborhoods, and his work for years with Bill Ayers on the Woods Foundation and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, where he dispensed millions of dollars, was not intended to improve test scores and reading ability.
No, the money was used to spread a cancer in our schools that planted the seeds of anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and gay rights proselytizing in the school system. Ayers, this “just a guy in the neighborhood” that he shared an office with, dedicated his book Prairie Fire to Sirhan Sirhan, the murderer of Bobby Kennedy. And he had his picture taken trampling on the United States flag as recently as 2001. Then there is Tony Rezko who was involved in the shady deal to help Barack and Michelle Obama buy a bigger house with a bigger lot than they could afford. And, of course, twenty years of listening to Rev. Jeremiah Wright spew his hatred for America and for the white race. Black Liberation Theology has its roots in Marxism. Plus his friendship with Father Michael Pflager who is an embarrassment to the Catholic Church. And there is Louis Farrakhan, and Rashid Kalidi (who is the former spokesman for the PLO that is on the tape that the Los Angeles Times won’t release) and Raila Odinga, the radical socialist presidential candidate in Kenya that Obama went to Africa in 2006 to campaign for. Senator Obama’s connection to and financial support of the semi-criminal voter registration group ACORN is scandalous.
It is dizzying, the number of socialist, angry, divisive, racist people he has surrounded himself with and now disavows. Can you help but believe that he may share some of these beliefs and attitudes that he has associated with? Senator Obama has a problem with the truth. He lies about things that he doesn’t even have to lie about. He hides and refuses to release records that there seems to be no reason to hide. The really obscene amounts of money that has been spent on this campaign come from questionable sources. Will any of this be investigated? Certainly not before November 4th.
Just who is Barack Obama? Nobody really seems to know. It was almost comical to hear Charlie Rose and Tom Brokaw musing over how little they know about him on last night’s PBS Show. Did it occur to them that as journalists it may have been up to them to try to investigate some of these things? We are at a fork in the road. The direction our country goes in will profoundly effect the future of our children and grandchildren. As Franklin Graham so eloquently remarked at the recent CareNet Banquet, “We are in a fight that is so worth it.”
I am truly grateful to so many of you who have expressed your concerns about this election to your family and friends. Sending them the information you have learned from your own investigations. Thank you for stepping outside of your comfort zone to try to persuade others. To those of you who are considering voting for a third party candidate, I can just say it’s your vote. You can throw it away if you wish. There are only two candidates who have a chance to win on Tuesday. Every vote for a third party person is a vote for Barack Obama.
There are more Republican, Christian, Pro-Life voters in the state of Illinois than there are Democrats and Pro-Choice people in Cook County and a few spots downstate. If every one of us gets out and votes we don’t have to keep hearing that it is impossible to win Illinois. Every vote counts. Lets shock them with the huge number of like-minded people who get out and vote. Go to http://www.ICL-Life.com for information on who the pro-life candidates are. The reason John McCain has a “2” rating is because of his position on embryonic stem cell research. He seems to be moving closer to a more acceptable position and the whole issue will soon be a moot point with more and more successes with adult stem cells.
His record on abortion is 100% pro-life. And, of course, Sarah Palin is a walking testimonial. What the media has done to her reputation with 67% negative stories to 7% positive stories is almost criminal. Companies know what they are doing when they spend millions of dollars on commercials to change your perception of their product. People who have met her are very impressed with her abilities. And she has far more actual leadership experience than either Senator Obama or Senator Biden.
My friend Cathy, who is a very wise woman, says that when she hears it is racist not to vote for Obama, she wonders how many of those people voted for Alan Keyes. There is one more video that I really, really want you to take the time to see. It explains so much about how we got into the financial mess we are in. You may want to pause it to read the huge amounts of documentation. Or you can just zip through it because you probably know a lot of this already. If you want to share it with others without sending this whole epistle, just click on forward and then highlight everything in the email except the link and then delete all the words that surround it. It really is worth passing on.

I’m also attaching the outstanding Catholic Citizens of Illinois newsletter – so informative. And a well documented essay with links that reveals everything you want to know about Barack Obama. If you have any doubts about this election, please take the time to read this useful material. It may seem like overkill but desperate times call for desperate measures.
I was supposed to ask you to pray the rosary for the nine days before the election. It’s a little late for that now but you can still say it between now and Tuesday. If you post Vatican II Catholics aren’t sure how to say the rosary, please Google “rosary” and you can find all the prayers, and the mysteries, etc. It is a powerful prayer. And if you missed John McCain and Barack Obama at the Alfred Smith dinner, you really should Google that as well. I am constantly amazed when I see the stamina that John McCain displays. His speech that night was really hilarious. I laughed out loud. Obama was good, too, but MCain was in rare form.
Do not be downcast. It is disappointing to learn that the divisive Catholic groups who are working on behalf of Obama are being funded by George Soros, the anti-semite, anti-Catholic billionaire. Just pray with complete faith in God’s goodness. He blessed our nation at its founding, surely He will not abandon us now. The darker it looks the more incredible will be the victory and the proof of the POWER OF PRAYER. Pray for righteous men and women to be elected all up and down the ticket. Pray for the referendums to protect marriage. Pray for the future of our country.
Deuteronomy 30: 19. “I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then, that you and your decendants may live.”
Obama is the most liberal of the senators in the US Senate. That’s not middle of the road. That’s bordering on Dangerous.

Senator Bernie Sanders is a socialist. Stop reading right wing talking points. Name one thing (unrelated to abortion) that Obama did in the Senate that’s “radical” or even unusually liberal.
Received this from a good friend of mine, Kibby Taylor, with whom I flew in the 376th Bomb Wing (SAC), Barksdale AFB, Shreveport. La. We are truly at a decisive crossroads for our nation.

John Fer was pilot of an EB-66C shot down by a surface to air missile (SAM) over North Vietnam
Feb. 1967 and he was a POW until released with the others over five years later.
I was Operations Officer for 41st TEWS and therefore John’s boss when he and his crew met their fate.
He and I exchange e-mails occasionally but he has not actively expressed his political convictions to me before.
People of conscience cannot dismiss his statements casually; at least read the last three paragraphs.

Subject: Our Present American Crisis
Dear Fellow Americans,
For some receiving this message it will come after a significant time since we last spoke or exchanged other communications; however, I believe it is of such magnitude and vital importance that I ask your indulgence to read it.
We have 8 days left before America makes either a wise decision by electing John McCain or a tragic decision by electing Barack Obama. McCain gives us experienced and tested leadership. Obama is without experience and has never been tested nor has he done a thing of substance in his entire life. He is clearly not ready to lead. His election will be a dramatic
move toward extremely liberal policies, a liberal Supreme Court and Federal judges, a defeatist mentality for our national security
and military and it will set us back a generation. In fact, some of his spoken and written words are clearly socialist in substance.
At its founding our nation was established with safeguards we call “checks and balances” so that no single body or special interest group could capture single minded control for itself to the
detriment of the people.
We have 8 days to contact every friend and family member you have; those on your Christmas card list; every business associate, co-worker, classmate and associations from your various professional and social lives; 8 days of effort, phone calls, emails, and any other means by which you communicate; 8 days — not that long, not that hard to do your part.
When I was a POW, the North Vietnamese used any number of abusive ways to force me to “damn America” and forsake my loyalty to the nation I love. I fought them all the way. John McCain,
nearly dead after being captured, refused early release and the life-giving medical treatment he would receive, because he chose honor and commitment to his country over his own personal welfare. He would then spend 5 1/2 years in extremely harsh conditions. I shared a good part of those 5 ½ years with John-in the same cell and in the same room. I know the measure of
John’s character-honorable, experienced, and
steeped in virtue; a leader for our future! These coming 8 days of effort by you will make a difference.
Please communicate with all whom you know wherever they may be. We must wake America up! We must choose wisely or pay a terrible price for poor judgment. Think. Act wisely. Do that for John. Most importantly, do that for your country, your children and grandchildren.
God Speed, work hard for America for 8 days, and GBU (the letters we tapped on the wall to other POWs at the end of each night’s communication).
John

If Obama becomes president do you think he will go after PRO-LIFE GROUPS and especially NONPROFIT PRO-LIFE GROUPS?
If he is working with people who think that the FACE law is fine then it would not surprise me at all if he tried to imprison and ruin leaders of pro-life groups.
Would it you?
Hal,
That’s precisely it. Obama didn’t DO ANYTHING. Often, he voted present. But his economic stances and pro-infanticide votes (far left of Pelosi, Boxer, Clinton, etc), show that he’s not the middle of the road.
I just hope, if God forbid he’s elected, that he’ll continue to do the absolutely nothing he’d famous for NOT doing.
Hal, I don’t know if you saw the colbert on that one–

Hi PIP. I found it a bit like meditating. I listened to my own thoughts, and sent good wishes to MK. I didn’t feel touched by God or anything, but Obama went up in the polls pretty dramatically, so maybe there’s something to it after all. I did the week I promised, but basically forgot about it after that.
I read on Lifenews that if Obama is elected and does all of the things he has promised to PP to do…overturn the partial birth abortion act, overturn all prolife legislation through FOCA, push for tax payer funded abortions etc. etc. etc.
IT WILL INCREASE THE ABORTION RATE BY 125,000 PER YEAR! How does that make abortion rare??
The church tends to purify and shine under persecution.
Wonder if the same thing works for the pro-life movement?
We can never really understand how God moves, but we know his plans are always for good.
My king is the King of Kings. His path of suffering lead to a profound change in the world, and even now His light is dawning brighter and brighter.
This would shock me, but after seeing how Alan Colmes treated Trig and his mother, it’s hard to be very surprised.
I guess it makes them feel bigger and better about themselves when they can make fun of a disabled child!
Jess: “Well I love all the animals and I care about them.”
So I take it that you wear a mask at all times to avoid accidentally eating gnats? You also make sure not to wash yourself in order to avoid destroying mites?
Why not take it further? Why just animals? Plants are living too you know. Did you know that when you eat a “root plant” that you are destroying its life completely. Do you abstain from doing this?
You should look up Jainism Jess. It sounds like you would fit.
Personally I respect all life and believe that wanton destruction of it at any level is unjustified. However, I also understand that life breathes death and that every second I live I am destroying some life. I also believe, with actual justification outside of the Bible, that humans hold a special place in the ecosystem and that we deserve a special respect from each other. We are also omnivores, and it is in our nature to eat other animals. There is nothing especially wrong with this. I dont judge the wolf for eating a rabbit nor do I judge the rabbit for eating a carrot. Plants, animals, theyre all the same, and they all have to die for others to live.
Ezek,
I think most Pro Life groups ARE Non Profit. There’s one group I know of that’s not tax deductible because they lobby Congress, but the other pro life groups I know of are NON PROFIT. Will he and the pro abortion senators go after CPC that help women so they don’t seek out abortion thinking its their only choice? Maybe. I know that pro abortion senators and Reps have attacked them in the past.
Carla: I read on Lifenews that if Obama is elected and does all of the things he has promised….. IT WILL INCREASE THE ABORTION RATE BY 125,000 PER YEAR!
And you just blindly believe that?
“LifeNews” is highly suspect.
