OctoMom and Mom brawl on tape Part I
On February 23, 2009, Radaronline.com caught OctoMom Nadya Suleman and her mother Angela on video arguing about Nadya’s decision to have so many embryos implanted.
The spat isn’t pretty. Nadya is overbearing despite making solid pro-life arguments with a woman she should treat with much more respect: the grandmother caring for her 6 older children. Meanwhile that grandmother coldly argues the new babies shouldn’t be here.
These women both have issues, the first being that they’re foolish enough to air family disputes on camera, a la Jerry Springer.

The real brwal is over on the Sunday Funnies post. Jasper is on a comment deleting rampage! seriously. He started deleting comments without justification and then when called on it he went beserk.
No one made any solid points about anything. These women were having a hissy fit. She’s too immature for 14 kids, that much is sure. What is she doing on TV? Shouldn’t she be supporting her babies?…oh, and her six other children?
I just pray that those precious babies are going to be ok.

I’m very glad the babies seem to be in good health. I think that her mother makes some very valid points, seeing as she’s the one doing the raising.
While I am pleased that she “chose life”, I think the truly responsible decision needed to be made long before the point at which these 8 babies were implanted.
“Grow up” Elisabeth???? Oh, I think you should be advising Jasper of that. He’s the one who threw the tantrum.

I wish Nadya wasn’t so aggressive in this discussion because she did make some very good pro-life points…she just used them in a very, very disrespectful manner and made herself look bad.
One need not be a shrink to understand that this “mother” has serious metal problems. She has a clearly pathological need to be depended on and “loved.” Look at the ages of here kids. Mark this. Save a copy. Within two years she will be hunting for a new “doctor” to get her pregnant again.
I pray that the babies stay healthy. But the odds are against them.
No income. No father.
Pray for a miracle.

You’re so right. On a previous thread I compared this woman to the eccentric who fulfills some emotional need by collecting cats until there is a houseful of cats completely out of control.
These children are objects that fulfill some emotional need of hers.
She’s trying to look like Angeline Jolie, has attempted to contact her, and fantasizes about a household of children like her. Obviously this woman has some serious issues.
This has nothing to do with motherly love and devotion and everything to do with a sick obsession.
OT here, but can’t the DOCTOR who did the transplants be held responsible for some form of financial support for these kids?
He knew her situation and went ahead and “impregnated” her anyway, so doesn’t that make him somewhat “responsible” for these babies ???
How do we know that HE isn’t the sperm donor ?

I’m giving Nadya the benefit of the doubt here. She’s been so trashed in the media I’d be a little ticked off too. And while we’ve never been on national TV my mom and I have had worse rows than this.
Now I hear her father is supposed to be on Oprah – Oy Vey! Give the girl a break!
OMG! I just heard Nadya’s mother say something like you could thaw them, or whatever they do, and then “put them up for adoption when they’re HUMAN.” Nice, really nice.
this woman nadya is trying so hard to get her 15 minutes of fame and it is being handed to her on a silver platter! everyone is buying into all of her gimmicks. i for one am sick of the way everyone is clammoring to her to get exclusive interviews and pictures. the paparazzi are following her around like she is brittany spears. it is sickening. she is using her children because it she thinks it will give her fame and fortune. anyone that would use their children in that way should be charged with child abuse!

the daughter is sef indulgent and tells mom to “let go” She wants money but not advice. Todays cuklture claims giving advice is a sin.
the next rant part is over use of the word acceptance. We do have the right to express things that are totally un acceptible. Younger generatians creat a lot of pain intentionally for them selves when they disregard advice that prevents problems.
On a positive note. We will need several hundred new tax payers to pay off the pork payments.
OctoMom us just unbelievable. She doesn’t work, lives in her mother’s house, has no father of the children present, and uses her own mother as “help”…yet has no respect for her and talks down to her. Yeah, she’s a real prize.
No doubt, the court will step in at some point and take the kids away from her and place them where they will be properly cared for individually. She can’t possibly care for 14 kids in her current situation.
The only good thing she’s done is not to have aborted the 8. This woman has some serious issues going on. She will only be able to exploit the kindness of others for so long.
Yup, when the media is bored with her she will be on her own. I wouldn’t blame her mom for ditching her either, her daughter is acting so ungrateful and disrespectful.
These people make me tired.
I wonder how many donations she’s received. I do care for welfare of her babies and other children as everyone else does, but part of me feels like donating is just validating her ridiculous, irresponsible past choices. It’s just sad that there aren’t more options for her kids. I am certainly not in favor of separating them to different adoptive homes/foster care. But I really wonder how they’re going to live this way. Diapers don’t come cheap. And love doesn’t pay the bills.

I think that referring to Nadya Suleman as “Octomom” is degrading and insulting. Regardless of what you may think of her choices, she doesn’t deserve an epithet that reduces her to nothing more than a circus freak.

We just saw on the news that a Dr Rand Pink is sold a OCTOMOM Doll to a toy company in Japan. The doll has.a zipper on its belly so 8 Octobabies come out. They mentioned they’re going to have an Octobaby cartoon in Japan too.
