All systems go: Pro-Life Action League gets permits to protest at Notre Dame
Pro-Life Action League has just issued an email alert it has received permits to protest in South Bend. Although they weren’t really needed according to the Constitution, they’ll save hassles. I previously posted the planned protest route.
Buses will leave from 3 locations May 17:
NORTH SIDE CHICAGO: Departs League Chicago Office, 6160 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, 7a CST SOUTH SIDE CHICAGO: Departs St. Thomas More Church, 2825 W 81st St, Chicago, 7a CST WESTERN SUBURBS: Departs from Aurora Central High School, 1255 N Edgelawn Dr, Aurora, 6:30a CST…
You must register to ride one of the buses. Cost is $20 and includes lunch. Register here.
If you drive on your own, you can park at St Joe High School, 1441 N. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN. Here’s a map:
The protest will include 2 phases:
1. Will begin in South Bend with a Face the Truth Tour off campus along Michigan St. and Angela Blvd., the main route into ND, 10:30a to 1p EST.
2. During the commencement ceremony itself, protesters will put signs away and join prayer vigil on campus from 2-3p EST
Buses will be on the road back to Chicagoland by 4p EST and should return to their points of origin by 5p CST.
PLAL needs financial help to cover the cost of the buses beyond the registration fees, which are cheap, and hundreds of protest signs.

This is going to be huge. I think it’s safe to say the most radical pro abort President ever has really energized the pro life movement. Especially speaking at a Catholic university. Even Bill Clinton had more respect for the Catholic faith.
What is worrying to some federal law enforcement and emergency preparedness officials is the violent groups that will be present both within South Bend and on the campus of Notre Dame during the president’s address to graduating students. And these groups are being egged on by well-financed conservative groups, including the Cardinal Newman Society and Brent Bozell’s Media Research Center. However, the real fear of federal security agencies is the rhetoric being voiced by professional troublemaker Randall Terry and perennial political candidate Alan Keyes. Terry and Keyes are both right-wing Catholics.

Just what is it about these signs that bothers you so much? You certainly make an issue over something that you consider so ineffective.
Get real Bystander. The issue boils down to one thing: who’s ox is getting gored? Protest and pictures are fine so long as they support causes of you folks on the left.
BTW, I remember pics of the Vietnam War displayed by Vietnam War protesters where Presidents Johnson and Nixon publically spoke.
Oh, and please tell those Hollywood Hobnobs and other lefties that pics of genocide victims in Darfur aren’t very pleasant to look at either. I’m certain those are all fake anyway.

Buses to board in Michigan for Notre Dame protest
On May 1 I reported Pro-Life Action League was taking reservations for 3 buses to depart for South Bend from Chicago’s north and south sides and Aurora early May 17 to protest Barack Obama’s appearance at Notre Dame. Now Citizens…
